Continuing from what the story of the proud, funny and excellent chef Yukihira Souma and his gang from Food Wars: The Third Plate, the anime is back from its over the top food-gasm. Although this second course of the Third Plate seems quite good, we still have to consider that J.C Staff clearly disappoints us yet again by putting the waiting card to our eyes.
The story starts of with Central's preparation along with Polar Star Members preparing for defense. We get to see from the first episode the development of Nakiri Erina, who rebels against her father's doing towards Central's success. We were given episodes
...
where the rebels have to push through the limits. Learning everything and then comes down the fight.
Typical Food Wars anime word is "Shokugeki" and we are given a few only this second half. Although one of it was very exciting. The fight with Souma against Hayama Akira is how we see Souma develop through his cooking from his defeat at the Autumn Elections. We see how he could go to an extent to find ingredients just to beat the heck out of his rival and we also see Hayama being the spice master himself although, what was different in the two sides was inspiration.
Souma turning defeat into victory while Hayama being controlled by Central and not going through his own cooking was the turning point. Back stories are typical to every anime and we finally get to see the back story of Souma's dad Jouichiro, where it told how Erina's father Azami turned into a beast and planned Central. We get answers to questions from the last season which is the first half and some good shokugekis on this second bout, although here comes the ending of this second course.
Like the first half ending at the half of the series and making the fans wait for months, we get the waiting game again, stopping it in the very moment where things gets to the interesting parts. If you are a Shokugeki fan, you know its disappointing to see that the part where you have been wanted to animate for so long, and its just so near to you, leaves you again and makes you wait for months again to continue. It is annoying for me as a fan of the anime to wait although what can we do? I have to give credit to the openings and endings though. From the past Shokugeki franchises, this one is at the same level of goodness and it should be. Its good song and good visuals. Speaking of good visuals, the art didn't change that much and the ecchi foodgasm still lives up to the height. Overall, this second cours was exciting but came crashing down as the fact that we won't get to see what lies ahead of the rest of the fight against Central.

This Spring 2018 season, we are given sequels of popular shows that ever aired on the anime community. From My Hero Academia 3, Tokyo Ghoul:re, Steins;Gate 0, High School DxD Hero to SAO Alternative GGO (even tho its a spin-off). Then we are blessed with Romantic-comedy segmented shows like Wotakoi, Tada-kun and 3D-Kanojo Girl. Of course this are not the only anime the aired this season. There are countless of them as well as leftovers from the last season which is Winter 2018. However, despite of many choices of anime to watch, there is one lacking the season without this genre. The "Comedy" genre. Sure,
...
we have rom-coms all over the place but that doesn't stop me for hoping a show that will air this season that is pure comedy. Not only comedy, but some drama as well that can make my or our hearts feels warmth. And I am glad I stumbled upon Hinamatsuri (Or Hina Festival).
The story of Hinamatsuri is quite simple. You have a young psychic girl named Hina got transported in a form of a weird-metallic capsule to the apartment of a yakuza named Nitta. This two relationship servers one of the primary comedic acts of the show. We have Nitta who doesnt want to adopt Hina but leaves him no choice to adopt her because of her powers. Thus, this embarks the journey of Hina and Nitta, from parenting to just silliness.
Comedic anime revolves mainly on the characters for the story. And Hinamatsuri's characters are well-developed with their own unique attributes. For example, Hina's attitude on the show is very unique unlike any other main protagonist on comedy anime. She is dumb, boring, annoying in the eyes of Nitta, spoiled and has a very unique voice that really reflects her personality. Although this personalities are very bad, in the show, it is just fun. She is what she is and we viewers enjoy how boring she can get through episode. Whether or not she tries her best to fit to Nitta's apartment, there will still be laughter on our faces. The chemistry of Hina and Nitta being on one scene is priceless enough to make you laugh. Her boredom plus Nitta's annoyed face are just good. Not to mention the other characters as well like Anzu and Hitomi. This two gave plus points on this show. We have Anzu here who was like Hina at the start but due to her having different experience, her character changed. We can compare the two psychics being like one child on a poor family and one child on a rich family. the two's relationship reflects the real world's perspective between these two. Then there's Hitomi who really adds the comedic material to the top. With her being a part-timer but a middle-schooler, who knows that if she is found out, trouble can get her. Thus, this leads to some whacky comedy skits and her faces making us laugh.
The other characters as well supports the genre of this show. From Utako forcing Hitomi, the band boys, the yakuzas, journalist, Hitomi's Mom. Everyone is part of the show. Everyone have elements of comedy.
On every anime out there, art style is a must. In Hinamatsuri, its art is one of the things that made it stand out this season. I am not talking about beautiful animations, fight scenes, scenery and all. I am talking about there facial reaction. The art of the facial reaction of the characters are splendid. It makes anyone giggle or laugh whether it is Hitomi screaming or even any other character with a gloomy face. It is just well-done.
The openings and endings are quite stunning as well. On the opening, we see every character from Hina to Utako, their possible roles on the upcoming episodes with their visuals. The music is very good along with the visuals as well. Speaking of good music, the ending really stands out for me. With the electric guitar on the beginning showing Hina and Nitta or Nitta only walking through the streetlights are just beautiful. Then seeing the facial expression of Nitta throughout the ending with the male voice are just well-synchronized. They are all good.
Overall, Hinamatsuri is not that much of a well-known anime this season because of the other anime out there. However, it stands top for me as one of the great anime that came out this season. Its drama and comedy are well fuse up with each other and can either make you laugh or sad (well you feel sad because of only one character) on every episode. I really recommend anyone seeing my review right now to give this anime a go because of its unique intake on comedy and hidden reflections of youth on our generation.

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii (or simply Wotakoi), have two genres. Comedy and romance. That's it. Romcoms nowadays in the anime community has been popular in the late 2010's sparking a big genre called ''School''.
Yet Im not talking about the ''School'' genre here. Im talking about how Wotakoi done an excellent job on progressing and making unique attempts on a Romantic-comedy segment that is surprisingly not taking place in a high school. Instead it follows the workplace of four unique characters. Unique as in every single one of this four have unique attributes that you can say ''How in the world does this four have
...
a partner with their attitudes?''.
The story revolves mainly on the four characters of the show. Inspite of that, each episode offers uniqueness and heart-warming scenes that can make either audience feel comfortable or laugh at. It mainly focus on the lives of Nifuji Hirotaka (the quiet, not that sociable gamer), Momose Narumi (the cute, sparkling otaku and yaoi fan), Kabakura Tarou (the guy you always meet in the bar who looks like a thug but has a genuine heart) and Koyanagi Hanako (the cosplaying-loving woman and the only one who can stand-up against Kabakura.) Each episodes offers rare shots from a Rom-com like any other. Instead of doing classwork, they do office work. They are not students. They are adults. The fact that Wotakoi stands out this season is that its not like your typical high school drama like Tada-kun this season. It shows the picture of office workers and adulthood. The one thing that made this anime different to our ''in-real-life'' adulthood is that, Wotakoi still offers the taste of an otaku. Whether your a figurine collector, gamer, yaoi fan, manga fan or an anime fan, you can relate to either one or two or even every single character from these four and will make you laugh out loud. Its not only the environment is unique. The love story of this four as well. The fact that each character, have different taste, interest and attitude made them understand each other is truly inspiring. That is what you call friendship. Real friendship and that exist on the adulthood. I'm not against to the current status of Rom-coms on anime being on a high school environment. I mean some are good. Some are average. Although one thing is certain.. is that Wotakoi can upgrade the romantic-comedy segment into a whole new level.
Every anime comes down into judging it by art, and Wotakoi, in all honesty, made it average on my opinion. Average although watchable. You don't need a very good animation for a romantic-comedy and all. This is not action. Although I would love to note that the animation used in the gaming episode and the opening is excellent.
Speaking of the opening, this is one of those openings I added to my anime playlists because its just too good. Along with the animation and the dance (hands) choreography on the chorus of the opening, it is a great way to start off the episode. The ending as well. With its art picturing the characters like going home from a busy day of work to sleeping, with a cheerful singing, its just fit to the theme of Wotakoi.
Overall, this anime when I first saw it on the PV or trailer, I was expecting it to be a good take for romance and comedy genre and I was not disappointed going through the 11 episodes. Wotakoi is good uptake of the genre and I rated it this high because of its story, mixing it with well-developed characters, fine animation, heart-warming openings and endings, and a good comedic material.

*Spoilers Ahead, (though seriously if you watched it already then its fine)*
The "Game" genre have been going popular these days. With the likes of SAO, Log, and Accel World, the genre received many praises and critics throughout the community. Then comes the country China where there animation is getting influenced by Japan and brought us The King's Avatar (Quanzhi Gaoshou). I, indeed enjoyed the first season with its excellent art, sound, story, character developments, game mechanism and especially its maturity. It is very rare that a Chinese animation made me impressed even though we know that its base/inspiration is already common (generic). With season 1's
...
fight scenes and beautiful animation, I was expecting more from these franchise and get hyped that a sequel to it will be released on 2018 this year. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed for this 2018 version of the anime, although I still enjoyed it.
Story:
The story is confusing for the newcomers of this anime. Indeed, you have to appreciate the first season and then appreciate this. The story is based on the "All Star Tournament" event of the novel. Although it followed it, it really didnt follow any events that happened after the first season. Hence, it is like jumping from stage 10 - 20 of a game. Although this is a sequel to the first, the plot of the season 1 really didn't support this tournament arc or some sort. We knew that even in season 1, they skipped alot of things but i didnt expect them to skip alot and just straight forward give us a tournament arc sponsored again by Mcdonalds. But aside from these negative vibes, the tournament was quite fascinating. It is quite rare that the main character Ye Xui is not the one who is always playing. It is the others that showcase there own spotlight (especially Tang, Rou). We have seen countless of fights that are well played and animated like One Autumn Leaf and Desert Dust, which portrays what Desert Dust can really do. Although I said earlier that Ye Xiu really didnt made such appearance in the tournament (he was just an audience), one thing is for sure that fans (like me) really want him back into action on this 3-episode anime and yes. Satisfaction was there at the end.
Characters:
We were given a handful of characters. Although most of them are just talking as a spectator/audience, we were still hinted of the capabalities of the few that are important on the story that leads to the events after this season. There's Tang Rou, who displayed her skills on the stage even though everyone assumes her being a noob. This tournament gives way for her to be on an eSports team. There's the current owner of the One Autumn Leaf account, who is over-confident about his skills. I (or we) were pissed about him in the first season so I was really hoping for his life-points to get rekt by someone. I was expecting Ye Xiu will do it but his rival did it for him.
Then of course there's Ye Xiu, who, from hiding finally reveales some hints of coming back onto the eSports he retired on.
Art:
I was quite shocked about the art as it is not the same from season 1. I really can't say anything although the art looks good for Ye Xiu as his expressions can be easily tracked. Last season, for some reason, he always smiles and some audience are irritated by this type of character. On this art however, we can see his emotions quite frankly. Although I have to say that Lord Grim's avatar art in season 1 (on my opinion) is still better than these new art. Overall, it was fine and it didnt really affect my eyes that much.
Sound:
What is there to speak into the sound system?.. Season 1's OP depicts how epic this anime was going to be and season 2' OP did it quite the same. Ending theme songs are not always my taste although I can say the ED for season 2 is okay. Sound effects are massive on this one. Not really much of a difference to season 1.
Overall thoughts and enjoyment:
In conclusion, the story was straightforward and season 1 really didn't hint the tournament (or maybe im just blind and deaf) which is a drawback for this 2018 version. Even though this was a drawback, I still enjoyed the fights and Ye Xiu being a badass at the end.

Introduction:
Type-Moon have delivered us splendid shows in the past already. One of them is the 'Fate' series. Due to ufotable's great job of adapting Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/Zero, it's safe to say that the 'Fate' series are those series you can't just miss out. In Summer 2017 season, A-1 Pictures delivered us "Fate/Apocrypha". With it's attempt of trying to make a good 'Fate' adaptation, I just want to say it really didn't planned out to be better than any 'Fate' series out there or it's not really that good.
Story:
The story followed the two factions fight for the 'Holy Grail' in a never
...
before seen type of royal rumble. Instead of 7 masters and 7 servants in total, there were 7 masters and 7 servants on each faction which was known as the Red and Black Faction. When I went to the official information page of Fate/Apocrypha, I'm already guessing this will not be good unlike the other past Fate adaptations. Why?.. It's because of the vast amount of characters it have. Let me tell you something, the past 'Fate' series were all having 7 masters and 7 servants. Having 14 characters in total (+ some extras) is already a bother as you have to plan out everything for each. Whether they die or live. Whether they quit or not. Planning is tough when you have a bunch of characters on a story. Since Fate/Apocrypha focused on a Holy Grail War, you will expect that the masters and servants will kill each other and as episode 25 grew closer and closer, you will notice just one fight that should have killed any servant from the beginning, made one servant die in order to dispose their purpose for the conclusion. Apocrypha, from the first 12 episodes, gave us a one big hint on how the ending will have. I will not tell you as it will be a spoiler but it's within the main protagonist of the story which was Sieg. Sieg here was a huge problem. Though before he became a participant, he was a third party and suddenly he participated, thus, giving us a hint of the conclusion of this anime. One thing was certain that Sieg, when alone without Ruler, felt like he was just a supporting character. Other characters like Mordred, Astolfo, Karna and even Shakespeare stood out in a great way when they have screen time. Ruler, on the other hand, was an important piece to the story. It made the fighting of both the sides which summoned Jeanne in a reasonable way. Hence, Sieg only stood out when he was with Jeanne (except the fight with Shirou because that was his time to shine). I want to talk about the fights as well. The fights were very dynamic and predictable as we go through it. Predictable like the Karna vs Sieg battle and non-predictable like Chiron vs Achilles (I was shocked in this fight.). Also, what happened to Berserker of Red (Spartacus)? Just because he was just an overpowered servant, they just have to get rid of him? It seems that he didn't get enough screen time at all (except on the first opening). We were also told by the story of Jack The Ripper that was a huge development for Archer Of Red (Atalanta), Though, there were still few things I liked in Apocrypha and I will tackle it next.
Characters:
Sieg not getting a shout-out or in conclusion not standing up high with himself was quite a prickle and a problem. Although, we were given a variety of characters that made apocrypha at least a bit of an enjoyable series. Astolfo gave us comedic laughter and memes. Mordred with her charm and traits like her father gave way fan to favor with her. Caster imitating what will Shakespeare's attitude is if he was still living on this current era. Jeanne (Ruler) as a referee of the war kept on meddling and meddling on both sides having her stood out from the rest. Karna with his loyalty and pride to fight any Heroic Spirit in a sport-manship way and there was Berserker (Frankenstein) who rose up from the dead (seriously). With 14 servants, there is a certain that each one of you have picked at least one servant to gain hope for. I said earlier in the 'story' section that having too many characters is a problem and quite risky, although, one advantage of having this many characters is having a favorite or side to choose from. Apocrypha was about a Holy Grail War so I am sure almost anyone made a bet that this servant will win (even though we already know the outcome after a few episodes).
Sound:
First opening (episodes 1-12), which was by EGOIST, was a disaster in my ears. Don't get me wrong. EGOIST made a ton of good songs but this one doesn't fit my ear drums. With it's slow narration after the sign 'Fate/Apocrypha' showed in your screens, the narration was just bad and we don't get that 'hype' feeling which was common in the past Fate series. Although, the first part was really bad, only the chorus we get to hear the good part along with the animation. But still opening 1 was a rock-bottom. Although, the first opening was not suitable for my hearing, the second opening by LiSA was a success to keep me watching more. Both endings was quite fine as they sounded smoothly for an episode to finish.
Art:
Oh boy this section... I was really not hoping for A-1 Pictures to present a godly animation (like what ufotable did), hence, I would like to give a round of applause to the studios. The animation and art was decent enough to be fascinated or get enjoyed by the fights although some fights (Karna vs Sieg) was over the top that my eyes hurts a lot after the fight. I can't describe it to be good or bad. It's decent.
Overall thoughts and Enjoyment:
My overall conclusion about Apocrypha is that it was a decent adaptation and attempt by A-1 Pictures. Although, there's a feeling that something was missing to the story. It lacks something that we just can't understand at first. That feeling is quite a bother to the plot and to the audience perspective. Even though the community judged this Fate anime to be all negatives, there were still some positives outlook to Apocrypha itself. To wrap this up, I enjoyed and I disliked it as well. Enjoyed because of the fights (and the opening and ending), then disliked it for its predictable outcome of the story and lacking of it.

Introduction:
Gintama... One of the top-rated anime that come out here on this website. At first when I saw Gintama on this website, having 9+/10 ratings on almost every show of it, I persuaded myself to watch all of the seasons even if its really hard due to my schedule. 300+ Episodes? Seriously. I can't even finish Bleach which is also 300+ episodes. So I recklessly tried Gintama from the beginning last summer and I, in fact, one of those who rated every Gintama a 10/10 with one pure reason. Comedy plus Values. Thats how I summarized Gintama. Now this season, the new Gintama came out
...
and it is the "Slip Arc".
Story:
As stated in the first episode, this arc will present some comedic material throughout the series and after it, will begin the final arc which is the "Silver Soul" arc. Now I don't have a problems with this thing because more Gintama meaning more laughter that I really need in my life. If I'm going to review the story of Gintama, then you already know it is hard because... Gintama is meant to be random, though it is full of arcs and side stories. On this season of Gintama, we are presented by "Slip Arc", that also have side stories. For example, the story of Nishi Ikumatsu (Katsura's crush who makes ramen for him), who we saw how she was longing to see that one person who was keep on coming to her shack. Then comes Gin and Kankou (Umibouzou) father issues with the Titans. And also the scabbards' romantic story. Those were funny but there is still some value hidden within it. Like the story of Terakado Tsu (Otsu-chan), who was fallen to the streets again but rose up due to the help of her fans (this was a very funny two episodes). Slip Arc presented us variety of laughable side stories with simple values. Though 13 episodes is really not enough. Lack of executions or content is one of the issue of this arc though it is also an advantage to the author to go ahead with the final arc. What I can describe to it accurately is that this Gintama is like the mini-version of the first season of Gintama. Bite-sized. Let me tell you this. Compare a bite-size Oreo (the mini ones) to the original Oreo cookie. What Oreo have the more milk and chocolate? What Oreo have more taste? Obviously, its the original one although, the bite-size one are made for the ones who are lazy? or who wants to eat it like chips. The "Porori-hen" (Slip Arc) offered us what the original Gintama can do although the original have more variety.
Characters:
Ahh yes.. They are back at it again... First minute of the first episode of this anime showed us already that Gintama is basically the king of all parodies. With the references on top even on the following episodes, its safe to say that all of the characters stick to their attitude and motives since when they appeared in the other seasons. Also, we get to learn more stories about other characters and what can they do like Musashi, Tetsuko (the blacksmith) and Ikumatsu.
Art:
Art is simply Gintama and nothing changed. Though I love how the opening gave us so much colors and when it goes to the chorus, it shows the characters running and the background is full of past scenes from past episodes, which gives a good signifance to it.
Sound:
The opening gives us hype and thats all we need for every Gintama episode. While the ending gives us like good sets of girls dressed up in bride dress. Not to mention, the soundtrack and other sounds (like when Katsura enters and when someone fails) gives us a Gintama element to it.
Overall thoughts and Enjoyment:
This Gintama is one of the highest rated anime that was currently aired and yes it deserves to be one of the highest. Enjoyment was top-notch and it is safe to say that this Gintama is like a taste-test (or bite size lol) to the original Gintama. I, honestly, recommend you to watch it before the final arc of Gintama comes so that we will be having smiles before we end Gintama (even though I dont want it to end).

Its not Kekkai Sensen Season 2. It is Kekkai Sensen and Beyond!...
The first season of Kekkai Sensen was aired last Spring 2015 and gave us a good plotline of the characters of Libra. With the story on point in season 1 up to the end, it was a good anime on my perspective. Then here comes Kekkai Sensen and Beyond. The season 2 of the hit anime and I, to be honest cannot really decide which is better. Thus, I compared both of them for this review and come up that it is without a doubt there is a great difference.
Story:
Beyond starts of with
...
Leonardo reflecting the past event that happened to obtain his "All Seeing Eyes Of God" power. In season 1 we are hinted about his sister's involvement on the eyes of Leonardo although we were never showed the history, riddle or anything about it (except its abilities prior to combat). This anime this season gave us a clue or a hint already in the very start that Beyond's objective will be focusing on uncovering some details about the mystery eyes of Leonardo. Though I was surprised that it didnt get along with the storyline of the first Kekkai Sensen. Instead of rushing to the objective (which is uncovering any details about the eyes), it offered us backgrounds on each and every member of Libra. To be fair, I really don't like this type of things in anime like reflecting or having side story and all but it turns out that Beyond gave me or gave you a good impression to every single character. Enjoying there fun moments and feeling their struggles when they have problems. For example, I was amazed by how awesome Gilbert Altstein was in the episode he was feature. He looks like Alfred from Batman on that time. In season 1 it looks to me that he is just a trustworthy butler but I was surprised by it. Also, the story behind Obrien Zed, is also a quite emotional and informative on how he interacts with others. Even though these are all good stories in an episode or two, I have one question. Why not just turn this stories of every Libra members as specials or OVA's?
Here's the point. The storyline is quite confusing in Beyond. At first we were given a certain clue about the storyline. Hinting us that this will be Leonardo's spotlight again but different as he will be encountering a secret about his eyes, or his sister. But that idea got temporarily dispose and replaced by stories of each characters. I am not against it that much because I, to be honest enjoyed there own episodes, but along that characters should try to solve the main conflict little by little, though this was never seen until episode 11 - 12 (which is a fight about those eyes). Although despite of all this, the action of the story is still mindblowing and fun to watch as it gets intense on every episode.
Characters:
The characters are the same and still being one of the best groups in anime. I still love it when especially when they say their moves like "Lance Of Absolute Zero" by Steven. The whackiness of Leonardo and Zapp are still onpoint that makes Beyond have a bit of comedy tint on it.
Art:
The art never changed, thus it is a good thing as the art on season 1 of Kekkai Sensen is already perfect for the story. The visuals of when they say their moves (the japanese letters striking to your screen) never gets old and the effects of the action parts.
Sound:
Season 1 opening and ending is indeed better than this one though the jazz soundtrack of season 1 is reflected to season 2 which gives us a nostalgic atmosphere. The jazz fits the aerosphere of mood on situations. Though I said that opening and ending of season 1 was better, I still can't stand that the new openings and endings are quite plausible as they are unique as well.
Overall thoughts and Enjoyment
Kekkai Sensen and Beyond brought me back to when I watched the season 1. How I judge it if it was better than it is quite difficult because the enjoyment level is quite indeed very good for me but the storyline and outlining the conflicts is always important on storytelling. And that whats lacking Beyond. It maybe enjoyable although a story... is a story. Overall, I enjoyed Beyond but not as I enjoyed season 1 of Kekkai Sensen. Even though its like this, I still highly recommend you to watch it. If you still didnt watch Season 1 then go ahead and then watch Season 2.

There are six words starting with "S" you should remember, plus another word starting with "S" you have to add to make it an internet pride.
"Smile, Sweet, Sister, Sadistic, Surprise, Service" - these are the holy words that starts with "S" that summarizes the whole anime itself. I was wondering why its called "Blend S".... Now when I finished it, my first guess was correct (though this is my opinion only). A mix of attributes of the characters. Words that starts with "S" that characters are assigned to. Blend S is an anime this Fall 2017 that offers us a cafe
...
that have the employees acting like anime characters. Though this cafe is not an ordinary cafe you always go to like Starbucks or Costa Coffee. The cafe is called "Cafe Stile", owned by an Italian manager. A crazy one. The staff composes of 5 girls and 2 boys (4 girls and 3 boys specifically when you watched it). Maika, the clumsy employee who smile in a sadist way, which makes the people keep on going in there (along with the manager liking her so much).
Kaho, the gamer who blushes to customers... Basically she's a tsundere...
Mafuyu, the most smallest one, though the most mature one in concept. Although on service, she is the "imouto" type (little sister). Well she is technically a dangerous loli. Miu, a doujinshi author who.. writes those stuffs and have imagination like those. She is the "Onee-san" type (big-sister) who always seduce the customers (not in a bad way though). Hideri, the "suprise" character from the six words. She is the "idol" type who always wants to step on stage to reveal her cuteness (i dont know if I should put "she" or "he" on this person). Then comes the boys which are Dino, the manager and Kouyou, the shut-in gamer but the one who always helps Dino.
Story:
The story follows Maika, who recently got employed in a cafe. A weird cafe. That is the starting of the story of Blend S. We were shown that Maika will be one of the main focus on the plot and as the episode goes the story revolves not only to Maika but the other staff of Cafe Stile as well.
With all of them getting screentime on almost every episode, it is reassuring that all of them have important roles to the progression of the plot up to the ending. I'm going to tell you this. Blend S' focus (On my opinion) of the story or product of it is quite difficult to understand. Summarizing it is possible but not quite easy as each episode is like this episode happens on the other day while this happened on that day etc etc. Or should I say in safer side, the story goes in random places though there are a linkage on some episode... Although I can see as a random anime full of colors, there is one obvious good thing that this anime offers. We see this thing on every characters especially the main girls of the series. They have different traits, though this trait doesnt really show them what they are at homes, school or online. Right.. This girls offers us that a person can be sweet, loving or a tsundere but only on the outside. What matters most is on the inside. We have seen characters revealing there
true identity behind doors of the cafe. They always have hidden things lying in the hearts of them and this things should never be taken light of outside. It is with their own privacy although all of them seems fine showing it to other staff members (as I guess they are friends). Although this inside traits cannot be fulfilled on strangers. Why? The answer is work itself.
Many people tend to have different personalities either they are at school, work and especially at home. Everyone wears a mask outside and pulls it out at home. All of us have unique personalities that not even our parents know about. It is a matter of being human. It's life. Here on this anime we saw the struggles of Maika of how can she express her natural emotions to be appealing to customer. Turns out her sadistic side is very pleasable to the folks of the cafe as well as the other characters. Each one have secrets that they do not reveal often to strangers but to those only for their friends. Those who can trust him/her. For example, it is stated in an episode with Mafuyu (when someone asked Mafuyu to go on a date) that no one will like her if the customer will know the truth. People like her for having a childish personality, though she is sure that no one will like her if she shows her true attitude. Blend S gives us a trip to a happy, cheerful and joyful anime, though have some hidden values regarding their own personal roles.
Characters:
There are limited characters here on the story. You can count the characters by your fingers I bet, though this gives this anime an advantage. English teachers will always say that when writing a story, the fewer the characters, the easy and good the story will be. Though the characters of Blend S are not few or not more (its in between), this gives the author as well as the director a good screentime for every character. Come up with a good situation that the character will participate then finish. I already explained the main ones though there are still some like 'Owner' (the dog) and Maika's brother and sister. There is really not much of an importance to this characters but there is one. It gives information to the characters involved with it. Sure the dog is for Maika and Dino and Maika's brother and sister is for Maika. What about the others? Well, simple. Others will share. For example, Kaho behind the scenes is a shut-in gamer. This attitude applies to Kouyou also so both of them have sharing traits. Miu writes doujins so she knows those things. There is an episode when Kouyou stopped her to say a word that doesnt know the meaning by the other characters so they share personlities as well. Mafuyu's scene with Kaho having study sessions also shows that Mafuyu has an attitude of a mother then Hideri being the idol is very obvious that she wants to stand out more. Finally there's Dino, whom we all know the personality because of his persevarance and so much love sick to Maika. All of the are on phase and makes the anime watchable.
Art:
There's nothing really to talk about with the art here. I can describe the art like a white light going into a triangular glass prism then divides into different colors. Thus, the art is like painting. Lots of colors though its rather simple. Its appeal to the audience is fine and pleasant.
Sound:
You know the opening is already good when it turns into something that the people of the internet will be happy on. The ending is quite unique as it features chibi characters which is cute and nice on my perspective.
Overall thoughts and Enjoyment:
I am not a fan of this type of anime out there, though I have to be honest that I enjoyed watching it. We encountered different traits of the characters reflecting different anime personalities, as well as their hidden personalities relating to our real life attitude at work, school or at home.
Therefore, I recommend you to watch it as its score for me is decent. Being simple or decent is quite beautiful you know.

Introduction:
Inuyashiki..... It is the name of the anime I am going to have a review on. Coincidentally, the word "Inuyashiki" comes from the main character's full name. The anime Inuyashiki revolves around two men. One is an old man while the other is a young, teen-age high-schooler. You know on most anime the grown-up is always the antagonist of the series and the young ones are the protagonist, gaining character development every episode. Here, the old one is the protagonist and the young is the antagonist on most audiences. I said "most" there. Why? The story offers us what are the circumstances of the
...
aged and the youth. The aged worry about family and health while the other worry about his colleagues. Throughout 11 episodes we have seen the huge differences between the two. Base on the author of Gantz, Inuyashiki is an anime with the dark element shadowing its story. Does being a total human are the only ones have the right to help someone? Is having a human brain and a heart.. really consider someone being human?
Does being different to everyone really makes u different? Those are the common questions I've come across while watching.
Story:
The story of Inuyashiki focuses on the two main characters of the series. I, indeed, to be honest, have a hard time understanding both of them especially the antagonist Shishigami Hiro. With both of them having different ideals crashing like two planets together, it's really hard to get in favor to one of them. The story of Ichirou Inuyashiki is however, simple. He got cancer in an old age. His children doesn't care to him that much anymore unlike when they were kids. And his body is getting weak due to his illness, thus, limiting his work. Then there's Shishigami Hiro. There is no clear explaination on the background of Shishigami Hiro since when he appeared, he immediately showed his powers and how he used it (Like that part when he manipulate the cars to make traffic accident), though one thing is clear to this character. He only have his mother on his side without the father being completely supporting them. I said "completely" because yes the father supports them with money, but moral/emotional things? No. This left Hiro with only his mother on his side, devoting to protect her. Also the event (episode 2) of introduction of his friend Ando Naoyuki gave us a clue what's Hiro's personality. Due to his friend's absence because of bullies, Hiro did something. That "something" is unpredictable since we are like introduced to it on the spot of the episode where Hiro appeared very first.
This gave me a conclusion that throughout the story, there will be killings because of Hiro. Killings to protect while Ichirou Inuyashiki is going to stop him on some point in time. Each episode highlights what they are doing while the other is doing something also. This type of segment is a good highlight to the show since the two of them are the main focus of the audience. First 4 episodes (except episode 2) highlighted Ichirou Inuyashiki's perserverance and will to save people even against gangs. Though most of the episodes, reports have sited the "miracle healer" which was Inuyashiki himself. Episodes 5 - 11 (9,10,11 for Inuyashiki) gave us Hiro's triggered response. Triggered as in an incident gave way to his mass killings thus, awakening Inuyashiki also to stop him. The final episode (the ending) is quite a good closure to the story as Hiro did something remarkable for the fate of the entire human race (as well as Ichirou Inuyashiki.) and with the ending song on sync with the final moment, you can sense how emotional it was. The story is quite simple and understandable in a viewer's eyes. This what make Inuyashiki a great anime to watch this Fall 2017 season.
Characters:
I've already explained that much to understand about the main characters of the story in the "story" part. Thus, I will make a short reflection about the other characters. The supporting characters of the story is a strong element here, which gives way to a simple but good story on my perspective. Supporting characters on Hiro's side gave way to an accepting reason or light to Hiro to kill. While the supporting characters on Ichirou Inuyashiki side gives him an influence to save people.
Art:
I am not really a fan of CG but Inuyashiki done it perfectly for me. It is indeed watchable and damn the metal parts of the body is quite detailed (as well as the asteroid in the final part) and I like it.
Sound:
The songs of the anime gave us a clue of how the starting of an episode and a bit of emotional craze of it. The opening by Man With a Mission is very powerful, along with its visuals, giving us a good headstart on every episode.
The ending is quite sad or emotional on my perspective as we saw characters not on their full form but in white lights. I dont know the meaning of this (or its just a part of the plan) but at least I can give it a thought that
the ending shows us the value of each characters to other characters (my own opinion only).
Enjoyment and Overall thoughts:
It's really obvious that if you go through my review is that I enjoyed this anime in a great way. With its story along with characters on sync, its safe to say that this anime is worth to watch. Overall, I recommend you to watch it. An anime about two characters having different ideals crashing to each other. Then at the end, it all comes down to the human emotion.

(You must see season 1 first before you go to reviews of the 2nd season because there will be some spoilers about season 1.There will be some spoilers also from Season 2)
Heroes Vs Villains. Good Vs Evil. We are always presented by these topics. Whether it is a movie, tv show, soap opera, or even anime itself, it is quite common and typical. But even though it is common on almost every shows out there, we still can't get enough whether the good guys or the bad guys will win on the last episode of the series or film.
Last year, the anime community was hitted
...
by a ''meteor'' in Spring 2016. A meteor that brought as another shounen anime, trying to compete to countless shounen anime out there. That's right. I am talking about 'Boku No Hero Academia' or 'My Hero Academia'. We were all shocked that how did we love watching a very simple storyline of an anime like this one. Boy don't have any superpowers but he is still determined to become a hero like his favorite hero someday. Then after through hardwork and some help of his favorite hero he got in to a school of superheroes. Easy story, but almost all of us loved it. Boku No Hero Academia last year showed us that even you write a simple story, there is a chance that people will love it if you put your heart into it.
Now I am not going to talk about Season 1 here cause it is already over. We moved on already. The boy is now a student on a hero academy then of course, the 'incident' was finished. This begs the question. ''What are the things that will happen so far?''. Well this question will be answer if you watch the latest one which is ''Boku No Hero Academia 2nd Season''.
The 2nd season's story is quite different than season 1, but the setting is almost the same. At the first season, the author presented the main protagonist to be a boy named 'Midoriya, Izuku', who dreams to become a superhero like his most favorite hero 'All Might'. Although, most children like Midoriya should have 'Quirks' already (Mostly in kindergarten), basically, superhuman powers. If someone has a quirk, of course he/she can be a hero. With just a little hardwork, he/she can. But unfortunately, he doesn't have a quirk.. He was ''Quirkless''. This world where Midoriya lives on, is also painful. Villains.. That's right.. If there are heroes, there will be villains obviously. Some take their powers as a chance to do inappropriate things by the law like stealing and causing damage to property, then some are using it for terrorism like what happened to the climax of the first season where the villains attacked the training grounds of the academy.
So I gave you a brief summary of season 1 I guess. Season 2, however, is all about competition. The school of Midoriya is no different to our schools on real life. Our schools always host competition whether the students on the same school body fight with their minds or against other schools. On this school competition (But it's called a sports festival on the series and it's one of the most famous ones by the setting of the story), all the characters showed resolve towards their one goal. To be ''No. 1'' on the competition.
The showing of their quirks was quite splendid throughout the battles whether it is the race, group/team battle, then the most awaited one which is the 1 vs 1 tournament. We saw the developments of some characters like Midoriya where he can fight against a recommended student like 'Todoroki Shouto', who is more powerful than him. But he still motivated him to fight him seriously without hiding any potential power. Another character who developed the prowess of determination was 'Uraraka, Ochako'. She, who uses gravity manipulation (but still don't know how to use it properly), was quite not a good match for 'Bakugou, Katsuki', who has a very powerful quirk called 'Explosion'. With the huge power difference and potential, Uraraka was sure she will lost but because her desire gets her the determination to almost beat him.
Even though there are some who developed from the Tournament arc, there were some who falls down a bit. Yeah. The losers of course. This is what I call character development as its finest. All of the characters in the tournament were developing traits, friendship and teamwork even though it is a competition. Also, this tournament arc offers us another important element for characters called ''balance'' or ''character balance''. In many shows, we expect the main protagonist to win any fight he can. In this one however, almost everyone were like the main characters where we were presented by their purpose and resolve throughout the episodes.
It was not only about Midoriya and all, even the supporting ones were participating. Also, I (or maybe you) thought that Midoriya will win in the 1v1 tournament, but making him win was inappropriate to the storyline so the author decided to ''thrown-off'' Midoriya awhile. This was a good decision base on the facts involve to other characters like Todoroki's inevitable half-cold, half-hot power. But of course, that was a sports festival. The real trial comes when they go out there to society with the heroes teaching them what will happen. What will really happen when a villain attacks a society where heroes are there. This was also a training for the students of class 1-A of the hero course. On this part, I was like ''Finally.. He learned how to use it properly''. If you watched season 2, you might feel the same as I do. There were so many to talk about this series not only the tournament. The battle against the hero killer was one of the most important one here. Its hidden meaning to heroes and villains were inspirational making them both stronger.
Hero Killer Stain motivating villains at the end while the 3 students Midoriya, Todoroki and Iida learned that teamwork and calmness were the key to defeat a villain and vengeance should not be tolerated by someone who calls themselves a hero. The final exam shows the viewers how heroes should have the mind working with your teammate to try, avoid, and overcome their enemys' quirks and the trials ahead. With Bakugou and Midoriya teaming up against the most powerful hero out there which is 'All Might' for the exam, we all have seen how both of them changed from all the events happened in the school of heroes. It is not only the heroes who improved, but the villains as well. The so-called ''League Of Villains'' that attacked the U.A students last season is back and more serious on getting the head of 'All Might'. With the hero killer giving inspiration to potential villains out the society, we can expect they will make a move soon.
Season 1 was all about the starting-point of our characters' journey to the path of becoming a hero. Season 2 was all about the efforts, trials, problems and how they solve it efficiently with determination, teamwork and hardwork. I don't have to tell about the characters, art, sound, and enjoyment because I think you already have a guess that all of them are perfect combinations of the story itself. I will not say season 2 was better than season 1 but I think season 2 is pretty damn enjoyable then season 1 because we get to see good fights, character developments and all other stuffs not only from the hero side, to the villain side as well. So overall, I gave this anime a 10/10. What a masterpiece it is.
