I saw this manga and picked it up on a whim. For a first published work, I have to give a lot of credit to Yuni for what was a rather compelling story that didn't feel too cliche at any point - which tends to happen a lot with these workplace romances. I would recommend reading the original webcomics (that's how I found them, not sure if it was pirated) as it really shows the basis for what was a really good single volume manga.

The relationship between Fujimura and Ayako is started well and all feels quite natural, the benefit of this being one volume ... is that it avoids the common problems of long drawn-out romances but it also manages to not feel rushed. Both of them are quite interesting and it's know how both of them think and feel through out the story.

There is sex in this, but it doesn't feel distasteful and isn't fetishistic, and once again avoids the trap of seeming forced in or out of place. Nor is it particulary explicit.

In short, a very nice manga. Nothing bad to say about it.

Afte watching the anime I really wanted to read this series. When starting to get the manga, the ending was hinted at enough to me to kinda spoil it, and made me kind of dread reading it. However, I thought "I'm getting on this train, regardless of if it crashes".

If you want to enjoy the same wholesome slice-of-life fun as the anime then just read vol. 1-4 (chp. 24) and extras 1-3 in vol 10.

If you want to enjoy the continuation and have a really good slice of life, you can read through to vol. 7 (chp. 42) and extras 4&5 in vol. 10.

The ... waters get murky in vol. 8 and then vol. 9 is - well, infamous - at this point, but having not known exactly how the ending would go down and it ultimately being not as bad as I had dreaded, it was still uncomfortable but ultimately didn't ruin the story for me. Now, though, I am still stuggling for a physical copying of vol. 9, which seems to be impossible to get in english from anywhere - it's become my white whale.

I can, however, honestly say that this manga is incredibly good. It is heartwarming and hard to fault as a slice of life. While I don't advocate spoiling stories, I think going on this journey with an idea of the destination is probably the best way to go about it.

Writing after having read 50 chapters (communications) and honestly I think it peaked in chapter 5&6 with the chalk board scene. There's nothing particularly bad with this manga, apart from all the side characters being either boring or devoid of character beyond "omg isn't Komi amazing".

Komi is frankly kinda bland, she reminds me of Sakamoto everyone is just in love with her for some reason - I mean she's cute enough, and I get that its a comedy - but her whole thing is that she looks pretty and is just good at stuff. Whilst I can relate to her in some aspects I ... think the story works well around her but outside of her semi-relationship development with Tadano I don't really care for her.

Tadano is also sort of bland, in that I've seen his character a hundred times before, but I do like how he clearly is trying to do what's right despite not being "the most average person ever". Honestly, he's at his best when it's just him and Komi.

Najimi is budget Hideyoshi (Baka and Test), don't care for them at all.

Overall, some chapters are very good others are pretty boring, but they are all quite short so you tend not to linger to long on the bad ones. If the crap characters stopped popping up and the focus was more on Komi and Tadano's relationship would be better, but it's pretty alright.

I decided to watch this show to enjoy a silly waifu-bait idol trash show, but I got something far better instead.

The first episode is one of my favourite in anime, with the documentary style introduction to all the characters was a natural way to meet the girls and get an idea of their dynamics. The show starts off as a fairly episodic kinda trashy CGDCT type show, but from around half way through it starts to show the overarching story and become less of a character comedy to a bit more of a character driven drama.

Chihaya and Haruka's arcs were great three episode arcs that ... showed more of the problems with both idol culture and the press at large. I didn't expect to be hit so hard by these characters, that it is a great testament to this show.

All the songs are great and I really would like to have an album of them.

I really loved this show.

Azusa is a top tier waifu.

Mostly a Cute Girls Doing Cute Things anime, but it had me laughing out loud and had me on the brink of tears.

Hilarious, brilliant OP and END songs, kinda tropy at times but I loved it.

For Shoujo ai fans, there isn't any but the friendships are really great to see develop and the girls have great chemistry. Top voice acting and brilliant music throughout.

If you're a fan of the CGDCT genre of anime watch it, only 13 episodes, every one of them is fantastic. Great to see how the girls take on the challenges and the way they go about it unexpected and a ... laugh every time.

I just love it, will probably re-watch next week.

Watching this show, I really enjoyed it. But the more I think about it the less and less positive my feelings towards it are.

The OP and END, were brilliant. The voice acting spot on. And I love the art.

But the story, the "astronaut" plot seemed to go nowhere. And I loved Adachi and her development, really want her to get the win, but Shimamura just seemed to get worse as the show went on.

I'm so torn with this; as I watched it 10/10, but after a few days it's been dropping. It's a great ride and the end could've been amazing but something just ... felt off.

Honestly, just watch Sasameki Koto instead.
