Mixed Feelings
Maou-sama, Retry! was a show that I had every reason to pass on, being another yet another seasonal isekai. However a certain scene 13 minutes into the first episode caused me to stick around. Why? Why would I submit myself to a genre I generally avoid? This is because 13 minutes into the show, Maou carries a girl named Aku on his back and proceeds to run to their destination. On paper this doesn't sound remarkable at all but watching is a completely different experience. We get to see his awkwardly animated legs (coupled with a blur effect to ...

Spoilers in this review.

This series really let me down. There were times when I downright loved the show, such as those moments early on with Pacifica and her siblings. One such moment was when Pacific, when feeling depressed, went up to Shannon and leaned on him. The way the scene was shot and executed really sold me on their relationship. Harukana Receive is a 12 episode anime featuring beach volleyball. As someone who both enjoys cute girls and haikyuu, I decided to give it a shot.

From the preview, and length of the season, it was apparent this wasn't going to a tense, emotionally gripping sports anime, full of camaraderie and blood pumping moments. This is very much the junk-food sports anime of the season. While it manages to fill that role nicely, its ultimately forgettable anime that you will find yourself consuming, being satisfied just enough to warrant watching the next episode, and then forgetting it exists until you see ...

Keijo!!!!!!!! (Anime) add
Keijo is an anime about things that matter. It’s about things that matter to you, things that matter to me. Things that matter to the whole fucking world. Keijo is not simply fanservice. No. It is more than that. Keijo is about life itself. To understand this statement you must first understand the correct answer to the question “tits or ass”. While there does seem to be some debate that in itself is appalling. The answer, without a fucking doubt, should be ass. Why? A baby can live without sucking its mothers teat but can it exist without an ass? No. Of course it couldn’t. ...
