Two episodes into Gunbuster and, apart from the backdrop of some giant conflict with aliens, I still wasn't feeling this show. Then episode three happened, peaking my interest. By the time episode four ended, I had goosebumps all over my body. A lot of that episodes impact was carried by the excellent soundtrack leading to an amazing moment. I believe I watched the last segment of episode four, three times before continuing on with the series.
Despite a slow start, Gunbuster got me back into watching anime, in a time where nothing else was interesting me. It starts off slow but when it gets good, IT GETS GOOD. Give it a shot if you also want a change of pace.
