Similar comedy style. Younger main characters with comedic moments occasionally within a huge overarching dark and menacing storyline.

If you liked Slam Dunk add

...then you might like Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho add

I see a lot of similarities in the main characters and their resolve to fight and unwillingness to give up under pressure. The shows share a similar structure with the dark tournament being showed very similarly to the matches in Slam Dunk, with amazing 90’s art.

Long running battle shonens. Both main characters suddenly get powers and are surprisingly strong, and both use a huge sword. Similar pacing (fast) and story structure, although fundamentally different.

...then you might like Bleach add

Both very long series that are both part of “the big three” of manga, along with One Piece. They have a similar progression of story and characters, with many similar plot points and character arcs between them. Battle systems are pretty similar, albeit both relatively generic, with branching elemental aspects branching off for different abilities. Both are battle Shonen with rescue/retrieval arcs too.

Very similar main characters. An overarching theme of overcoming your limits to achieve a current goal or overcome an obstacle/enemy in front of them. Similar comedy style when they aren’t seriousand in battles, and both have many different styles to their combatants fighting styles, with breathing forms and magic respectively. Both have fast pacing and are very bingable too.

Although maybe not initially seeming to have anything in common really, I’d recommend these series to each other for a few reasons. There are politics in both about overthrowing kingdom(s) and the rulers at their helm. Both deal with very human aspects, and what is left once your goal is achieved, along with emotions like grief, anger, love. Both have characters aiming for huge worldwide goals, although on different scales and different goals.

Funny wholesome antics with animals. Both quite underrated and not well known.

Both have spirits and an afterlife and the typical Shōnen fights. Ichigo and yusuke are similar, Ichigo is sort of a delinquent character and yusuke is a delinquent. They have similar personalities. Similar style of comedy in both too, and both have good art with an older feel (until bleach adapts a more modern art style)

Similar style of story with ghouls and devils, with the main character sort of being to both worlds (humans and ghouls/devils) at the same time. Lots of gore and fights. Lots of insane characters and a police sort of institution.

They both have a similar enemy, with curses and spirits which are ultimately caused by mankind. Groups are formed to combat these enemies, with many types of combatants and different combat styles and abilities.

Very similar feel with an organisation built around destroying villains/kaiju. Main characters both start off extremely weak and quickly get a broken power.

Both made my the legendary Akira Toriyama, they still have different and unique but recognisable to each other art styles. Both have some friends going on an adventure to obtain something, both very short 1 volume series. Similar vibe and comedy.

...then you might like JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 1: Phantom Blood add

Both very old and insanely inspirational for the future of manga. Similar art style and with demons/vampires appearing suddenly and the main character needing to get rid of them. Both are very short too.

...then you might like Kaijuu 8-gou add

Main character suddenly gets demon powers and dragged into a world of demons. The powers they get are from an insanely strong demons feared by the other characters and demons. Both set in a form of Japan with an organisation set up to get rid of those monsters.

...then you might like Jujutsu Kaisen add

Similar demons, and both have a darker tone for Shonen jump series. I’d say jujutsu kaisen takes heavy inspiration off both of togashi’s works, Hunter x hunter and this. The vibe is similar and characterisations too.

Young guys who make bad decisions and pay the price later. Very emotional with twists and shocks. Well written characters with grounded reasons for what they do and good progression on their characters.

Similar style of story telling and plot. Grounded and real series with deeper meanings and things to get from the series in real life.

Both psychological and dark series. Both have children main characters, many mysteries and places the main characters want to explore, but enemies appear and they have to outwit or defeat them.

There are many mysteries that are overarching throughout the series and very intriguing. Both have demons that want to kill humans, although they are mindless in attack on Titan, and in the promised neverland they are very intelligent and engage the humans in battles of wits. Both have a main trio of characters which kinda resemble each other.

‘Non battle battle series’. Much more mind games involved instead of traditional shorn jump fighting action. Very interesting plots with twists, mysteries etc. gripping stories and good characters.

Normal shonen jump of progressively harder opponents, many power ups and forms, and a simple plot. Both have good art and similar protagonist. Both want to become the strongest, get many powerups, fight stronger opponents, the normal shonen stuff. Both main characters have a demon inside them, and use their super strong powers. Both have emotional moments, epic fight scenes, and good panelling.

Monsters being eradicated by specially trained soldiers. Many mysteries and great art in both. They just have a similar vibe, both are very violent and bloody, also both are shonen.

Written by the same author, and both mystery series. Much overlying intrigue and interest in mysteries over the entire series, and both are very captivating.

If you liked Look Back add

...then you might like Sayonara Eri add

Written by the same author, they are very ‘real’ series with deeper themes and interesting plots with plot twists. Both are quite meta as well.

If you liked One Piece add

...then you might like Magi add

Both have brand world building with many kingdoms and politics, also both are battle shonen with the normal multitude of powers and a clear battle system.

...then you might like Mashle add

Both have magic powers with lots of comedy moments and quirky characters. There’s also a school arc in magi later on which makes them even more similar.

Similar premise and main characters in terms of personality. Both are super violent and have a normal guy get a devils power. He stops other devils with the power.

If you liked Onanie Master Kurosawa add

...then you might like Aku no Hana add

Extremely similar premise, nerdy looking quiet girl turns out to be a weirdo, and catches the weirdo protagonist doing weird stuff. They get blackmailed and made to do what the girl wants them to do. Also deals with themes of depression and suicide.

...then you might like JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 4: Diamond wa Kudakenai add

Both have delinquent protagonists. They both suddenly find out about a mysterious power, and they have potential to be strong. Both are also made around the same time in the 90’s.

Both are fighting tournaments with many fighting styles/abilities, bloody action, and hype moments. Both are very quick reads and will keep you reading very easily.
