Happy new year!
Hello
I'm not the biggest fan of mecha in the first place. Then I couldn't find any kind of sympathy towards the cast. Yes, I didn't like Kamina, I found him annoying. Simon was a whimp and Yoko had only one purpose - fanservice. I guess Nia was okay-ish but she appeared late and didn't get a lot of screentime. The only character that I liked was Rossiu in the second half, at least his struggles felt real and I could see what was driving him there.
Over the top nature of show was okay but not during the fights. Power of friendship/screaming to win didn't convince me at all.
Finally the second half gave me some hope that it might turn out to be a decent show, especially during early episodes. The ones with struggling to mantain the country, Rossiu backstabbing Simon for the greater good. It had potential. But quickly went back to what I disliked in the show. Also, how it handled death during the finale was weird. They killed off a bunch of undeveloped characters that had like 20 minutes of screentime total and I was supposed to feel bad there? Cheesy writing in my opinion.
Hi ^^. Sorry I didn't add you sooner, I managed to scratch my pupil so I wasn't able to see very well, hence the reason why I haven't been active. Welp
I was planning on binge watching a long show, if not a lot of short series. Would you recommend any?
