Hells (Anime) add
Besides the art, this is a solid mess. The movie starts off being pretty decent but the plot is just all over the place. The characters are constantly jumping from one end to the other over and over again. It would have been better if this was a show instead but even then, the final result of the unfolding of this story would have still been an absolute mess if the destination was the same. The only redeemable aspect of this show is the art. It's aesthetically pleasing to look at but even then I know for a fact some people wouldn’t like it. Just ...

Mixed Feelings
I mean, it's just another shounen ain't it? It's not bad but not great. It's just fine.
It has all the tropes you've seen before. From power scaling to traditional character archetypes, although it's a bit more edgy than more common shounen.
None of the characters were intriguing to me. Don't really care what happens to any of them. Same with the story. I just didn't care for it.
Nothing is truly great in this show. Everything is just fine. It does enough to entertain you but it always seems to be unable to take it to the next level.
It's a good show to just ...

Beck (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
Beck was an up-and-down rollercoaster for me. Some moments feel like a 9 out of 10 and some moments feel like a 5 out of 10.

The Good:
The premise is great.
The concept is awesome; especially if you love music.
The basis for most characters is decent.
There are great emotional moments.
It expresses social problems like bullying as well as social issues very well.

The Not So Good:

After Oyasumi Punpun this might be my favorite Inio Asano work. This is a collection of One-shots and each one of them could easily be a story. Not sure if he developed some of these into later works but every time I finished one of them it left me wanting more. Inio Asano is a master at creating very emotional and human characters that not only feel real but also relatable. His works tend to be on the sadder side but it feels so real and human that you don't want to stop reading. Combining that with his beautiful and very distinguishable art style, it ...

The Horizon (Manga) add
When I decided to read this I didn't know what it was about. The themes and core message of The Horizon are so well done and well executed that I didn't want to put it down.

It focuses on the fundamental questions of life, of our existence. How living is covered by suffering; and if to live is to suffer, then why should we even live for? why do we cling to our existence so much? Everything will go away eventually when we die. We will cease to be and be forgotten with time. So why do we live? why do we keep going?

The writer ...

DearS (Anime) add
I don't even know where to start. I guess with the good aspects. Ren is super cute and aesthetically pleasing to look at. Some jokes are actually funny at times. Besides this, this anime should be called the fan service anime. There's barely any plot. Every episode feels like a filler except the end of the show really. The Dears are alien slaves and they would do anything for their master including sex. Man, the MC for this is the most annoying character in the whole show. The poor way he treats women is so irritating. You see, there are a lot of shows that ...

Mixed Feelings
Deadman Wonderland is not a bad anime. It has a lot of elements that make It interesting like its world and its characters. The aesthetic of the show is also very nice. The problem is that the elements that make it good could've been a lot better. This show had a lot of potential in all its aspects and none of them reach their full potential. Some people say you should read the manga instead because it has a better ending and it's laid out better. I don't think it's an anime that you need to watch but at the same time, it's not something ...

Haibane Renmei is not meant for everyone. It is very particular and unique when it comes to developing itself. It's a series that starts slow, but for the purpose of understanding the world and the characters first. The pacing also allows you to become familiar with the world and the environment where the story takes place. Haibane Renmei is the beautiful search for the meaning of oneself and the understanding of our existence. It's an expression of the constant wondering of man for his soul; the search for that which he can finally feel fulfilled. Every human being is on that same journey whether we ...
