I am a quite and shy person. I discovered the world of manga and anime two years ago. Since then, I have been watching tons of them. At first, I watched only shojo, but it didn't take me long to start exploring other genres. Now, I know a lot anime genres. My favorites are seinen, sci-fi, josei (yes, I am a girl) and shojo. I don't like very much extreme violence.
It was the anime called Toward the Terra that led me to the path of finding the masterpiece called Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Now, that I have watched it, I can rest in peace. I've never imagined that such a beautiful anime could exist. It changed my life in the sense that now I have an opinion about a lot of things such as war, corruption, demagogy, and democracy. I was very ignorant from the social point of view. The character that influenced me the most is my dearest Yang Wenli. He is the greatest character I've ever known. I love the facts that he has an opinion about everything and that every one of his words are full of wisdom. This wonderful creation has made me respect Yoshiki Tanaka very deeply. It sounds crazy but LOGH will always be in my heart no matter what happens.
Maybe my clumsy words won't be very clear to some people because I am not good at describing people and my English is very poor. I apologize for that. English is not my mother language and I haven't made an effort to improve it.

I understand, do your best ! :) Personally I'd like to study (astro/)physics. I've always hated biology, and I truly suck at it. I think it's because it lacks that mystery, démesure (=magnitude ?) that defies the mind, that fascination I love in physics. But that's why I admire people who study biology, because I find it so difficult...
I like the ending of Monster, it was an open one and I think it symbolizes well the open questions in Monster ... Will Johann still commit atrocities after evading, is he still a monster, was he a monster ? I guess people would have different answers (or don't have any maybe), depending on how you interpreted his character or the story ...
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll be able to spare time then.
That's cool you read that post ! Thanks, but you know you just have to write what you think, just like what you wrote in your bio. The problem might be the time you need to spend on re-reading when you're not an english speaker indeed...
Productions I.G. are doing good jobs on adaptations as they are extremely faithful to the original material, from what I've seen, but the original materials were mangas, and they didn't take liberties because mangas are already a story told by images ... But yeah as LoGH's original material is a novel, they can take a lot of liberties, and I too am a bit afraid they might ruin it (so it sells to the current public) or focus too much on the futuristic aspect ... Matching the original version sure is unlikely. But I'm still so excited !
Your english is very fine don't worry ! Plus I too can be uneasy with english so I can understand. Good luck for your studies !
I too I'm so glad, most of the fans have an elitist mentality I'm not fond of.
I know that feeling regarding animes. I don't think I'd find an anime I'd love as much as LoGH either or that can compare. So I don't look for them lol. Though Monster is excellent in the same category ...
I saw you recently watched Arslan Senki, was it good ? I considered watching it, since it's written by Tanaka and adapted by Arakawa. I really love Arakawa's work. But concerning Tanaka ... I rapidly "watched" Tytania and I was very frustrated, it was awful. I don't know what happened
Your english is really fine, not poor at all ! I really understand you, and as Yang said, "Words are like icebergs that are floating on the ocean called “heart.” The parts that show above the sea surface are small, but they still let us perceive or sense the larger parts that are hidden below the water.". English isn't my mother language too, but I think you're doing better in expressing yourself ahah
