I'm not even in the mood to try to be funny with this review. Why? Cause I just finished watching an episode of Copihan.
Story - There is none.
Art - Art is average at times but gets sucky occasionally.
Sound - I like the first few seconds of the opening, then I get turned off.
Character - You have better chances of drowning in a kiddie pool than try to get into these shallow characters. Reoccurring characters are rare, nothing in this department.
...
Enjoyment - The only good thing about this is that it's only 5 minutes long.
Overall - The part I liked best was when it ended.
Most honest review I've done in a while.

As a result of downloading everything and watching everything without getting too picky there are some instances where I amaze, satisfy, disappoint, or curse myself for doing so. However, this is the first time I have ever scared myself.
I wasn't past the two minute mark when I was groaning in horror that I was sentenced to watching this kiddy stuff (not shit) for a full episode. So I did what I always do when watching something that doesn't capture my interests, watch the video run time every two seconds to see if I was at the end yet.
So I did it for this anime and
...
was VERY pleased to see that it was five minutes long and I only had to endure for about two and a half more minutes.
That is exactly the thing that kept me going to the end of the first episode.
Story - It's like I said, a children's anime. A lone girl finds a baby devil in her bed one morning and I guess from then on she takes care of him (It's a dude). Oh yeah, the baby has superpowers. Practically it's a little girl's version of Beelzebub. Yes the target audience is little girls. Little boys will not find this anime entertaining. I doubt some of those little girls would really rather watch something else other than this.
Art + Sound + Character + Enjoyment - I have big balls.
Man... I'm the only dumbass reviewing this... I am pissed.
Overall - 4
GG.

I'll have to start off by telling everyone that there are going to be some people that like this and some people that don't. Now guess, do I mean the anime or this review?
By "this" I mean both the anime and this review.
Not a few days ago I had finished bashing a certain anime for it's overdosing of characters and worthless plot. This anime is about the same thing, Mecha suits, a mob of characters, archetypes, and action featuring many abilities to woo and entertain the audience.
People do drugs not because they aren't aware that it's destroying their body, but because it feels awesome.
This is
...
a feel good anime... done right.
-----------------------------------------------------
Story: The concepts is mainly fighting, school life, missions, romance is a possibility (I hope to God it is.), lives of each of the characters and their pasts with some extra focus on the 'important' characters.
I completely zoned out while they were explaining the story. Why? The big picture really isn't that important. I could tell it wasn't important when they had an old guy read a few lines about it at the end of the first episode. This is going to be real simple.
Example A: The king died.
This is a story, people. "A series of events recorded in their chronological order."
Example B: The king died sending the queen into a spiraling depression until she finally joined him in the blissful afterlife.
This is a plot. "A series of events deliberately arranged so as to reveal their dramatic, thematic, and emotional significance."
This anime follows Example A. Do we know the difference now? Great! Let's move on.
-----------------------------------------------------
Art: The art something that compensates for it's simple story. Right from the start I noticed that to some level this was going to have a high class of animation, which I was right about. Character designs were well, backgrounds are the way the were supposed to be. Just like what's acceptable in a restaurant, no shoes, no shirt = no service. This anime wore it's shoes and shirt to the party, as a result, it has service.
You have the be the biggest bastard if you have great art and not have some kind of jiggling boobies in the mix. I'm not saying this anime isn't guilty of flaunting it, but shunning service for it's flashy, cheap, value, doesn't mean you have to let everyone know that you graduated the College of Assholishness or the Duke Douchebag University.
Service (in it's reasonable quantity) is not something that makes this anime any worse if not better. People who are against it to the point they too pissed off to think properly are not entitled to their prejudiced opinion. You have better chances of winning an argument over the laws of physics then proving service (I'll say it again, in reasonable quantity) to be a negative thing.
-----------------------------------------------------
Sound: The voice cast is freaking amazing. Finally we get to hear Jun Fukuyama play the rebel once again! Not to mention Ono Daisuke as a perverted ninja! If you're into voice actors, this anime to some extent is for you! It even does you a favor opening up with Chihara Minorin's singing!
The soundtrack is also to note, I thought they had a nice BGM before starting the training. The OP and EDs are unfortunately not much to marvel.
-----------------------------------------------------
Character: Hot teacher in track uniform, busty princess who does that "ho ho ho" laugh, perverted ninja, boobs, the left back with a deep voice, gay naked demon, fat guy eating chips, boobs, witch, shrine maiden, a blob, lesbians, Indian with the over sized dish of curry complete with big lips and turban, megane air head, maid, chicks with angel wings, the eroge addicted injected with Jun Fukuyama awesomeness delinquent main character, boobs, etc.
This anime is it's own character.
-----------------------------------------------------
Enjoyment: This is like Infinite Stratos, not much story to it, made for service, cool action, and something light and enjoyable with much for the eye, simple characters that are like candy but not a three course dinner if you know what I'm saying. Don't hate it for it's lack of plot, cause from what I see, it's not going to be a Shakespeare work or even a bad half assed attempt, they know that's not where the money is or what the target audience is looking for.
-----------------------------------------------------
Overall: Something to look forward to every week, I for one am looking forward to it's hopefully positive progress.
-----------------------------------------------------
I know to some people I hit the spot, going farther than even that. To some people I might be the antichrist of anime reviews and must be destroyed. To many I'll be somewhere in between. From what I understand most people will not find this review helpful, but go as far to say that it ruined their day. If that's the case I'm praying it ruins their life too.

There are basically two types of people who watch anime, Type A and Type B.
I'm going to discuss Type B first because that's probably the main audience for this anime.
Type B anime watchers are people who enjoy having loads upon loads of characters, flashy action, costumes, lightsabers transforming robots, service, etc. without needing much reason for it to be present. In short, they don't care, as long as they have as much shit stuffed on the screen as possible, they'll eat it.
If you fit within that category this anime is for you. I'm not going to try and explain any further because you probably
...
abandoned any sense of reason a long time ago anyway.
Now for the Type A watchers who place story and development over flashy gimmick, in short, my fellow brothers.
Story
From the start of this anime I knew there was a problem... sub par art and the feeling that nothing was making sense from the very beginning. This was a rip off fusion of the concepts of Baka no Test and Dog Days. No improvement on the material, they manage to fuck it all up from the first episode.
First of all there is no clear power gap between Classes S and Classes F. What happened to the classes in the middle? Does the S Class even exist? They seem to be equals, Class F seems to be stronger even, maybe it's because S if further back in the alphabet than F is, I do not know and I do not care.
There is also some romance plot shoehorned in with characters we have never seen before but are forced to show some sympathy when shown out of nowhere flashbacks that has nothing to do with what was happening at the time. If that's not bad enough, I have a reason to believe there was incest involved to some level. What the fuck does this do to progress the PLOT (word of the fucking day)? I hope they explain it in later episodes if they haven't managed to lose me by then.
What peeves me off is that near the end there is a fight and the participants shout names of their special attacks every time they use them. It was pointless and was trying too hard every time they did it. It's alright and when used at the right moment, really cool to yell the name of your finisher move when you do it, just don't shout it for every freaking move that you just pulled out of your ass on the spot.
Art
This was the first thing that I noticed that let me know this was going to suck. The budget of this anime suddenly became clear and with what came after I began to realize that I had made a mistake somewhere in my life that led into me watching this anime. I look a sigh of disappointment as the cheap animation continued, with latest technology sincere art through anime is possible... They didn't even try. I have seen hentai with better animation than what they have in this anime.
Sound
This is always a hard category in a review. This anime makes it harder. What hell do you want me to say? If I was asked I wouldn't even remember if there was even a soundtrack or BGM worth noting. No memorable score, but I have to give it to that robot Cookie. It's voice was kinda cute.
Speaking of voices, they have lots of high class seiiyu in this anime. However that does improve anything, it actually worsens it. Sugita Tomozaku could have been doing something worth a shit with his time. Oh well I guess he gotta eat too. I hope he gets paid lots.
Character
Too many. I am confused, I can't remember any names. We don't learn about any of their pasts, what their dreams are, why they fight. Sure that might follow in later episodes but its unacceptable presenting this crap as the first episode.
Pointless filler characters everywhere trying to desperately out categorize TVTropes, when will it end.?! It's retarded, it's as if they're trying to piss me off on purpose. Mission accomplished dickheads.
They don't even try with the character designs. All the clothing is bland, hair is unoriginal, Kyon is bald, and their personalities are a complete mystery or just the same crap you've seen a hundred times before.
That red haired eye patch chick, I've seen her in some hentai before... No really, I mean it. I'm more sure of it than the other characters.
Enjoyment
This was a big waste of time. I stared agonizingly at the run time of this video, groaning every time I checked the progress to see that only thirty seconds had elapsed since I last checked...
Overall
It's too late for me. I've already started this anime and I can't drop it now... I have to endure cause I can't let this shit beat me.
But it's not to late for you, fellow Type A viewers. Spare yourself the pain and watch something that actually has something to offer. There is nothing for you here, NOTHING, and there probably won't ever be.
"It might get better as it goes along."
BULLSHIT!
This review was not helpful for your ass. Screw me like this anime did.

Beelzebub... I was eager to try it at first, found the first episode cute and from then on I found it to be progressively tedious and under-entertaining.
Story - Skipping the summary, we have a continuous series of who's tougher than who without any kind of emotional investment or deeply convincing romance. Instead we have low grade manufactured comedy that can't even crack my lips into a smile if it were as inflexible as water. It has not and I do not expect it to ever give me a laugh where I cradle my gut in my arms in joyous pain.
There is nothing here of value
...
here. Nothing... The distinct level gap between the story that actually tries and anime like these are unfathomable unless personally experienced over a period of many years of watching different types of anime.
Art - Art... I don't remember any art. You call this art? Character designs don't really do it for me, not once have I ever stopped to wipe my drool to appreciate it's animation.
Sound - Nothing in the sound track, the voices are not memorable.
Character - They're all just archetypes, characters we've seen done so much better in other animes. I don't give a crap if any of them died, honestly, my tissues are doomed to collect dust in the corner of my desk.
Enjoyment - balls, tits, penis, that is all.
Overall - Unless you enjoy wasting your time because you can't realize that there are animes that can offer more in less time, by all means watch this...
This review was not helpful for your ass. Go ahead, screw me like this anime did.

Consisting of a series of shorts, these specials are like they cut an episode into smaller pieces and served them separately. It doesn't make an effort to do anything different at all from the original series. It's basically the same thing. Very predictable and like the series it wasn't really all that funny at some times. I kind of regret going out of my way to watch it. I could have ignored it and my day wouldn't have been any different.
Even so, I manged to crack a few smiles. And there are some choice pieces to enjoy.
My rating? meh... 5. Don't bother calling it "special"
...
it's exactly the same stuff you get in the series, if you paid money for the DVD to watch it, well... it's your money dude. Call this an "extra" or something...
Don't watch this if you don't have to. Not worth the time really.

These specials are short stories similar to fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White with a very humorous casting of roles with characters from the series. For example Shouta would obviously be the prince, and believe it or not Kuronuma plays the witch. Who's the princess then? That would be Ume, but trust me for the sake of purely comedic purposes, she does not ever find a happy ending.
You can see where it's going now, but trust me it's several times more hilarious when you actually watch it.
The art is very simple, the toonish style they usually pull off for laughs in the series.
It's great
...
to hear the voices of the characters again and for the small run time, it certainly packs enough laughs and awesome in it. These aren't your cheap, lazy, ordinary specials people.
I had a "ball". Lol
Overall rating? Well yeah, it's an 8! What else?
It's like those square mini chocolate "bars". It's delicious but given the choice, you wouldn't mind having a full size Snicker or Milky Way...

I wasn't expecting much of a plot or anything exciting to up the rating for this particular OVA. But knowing the genre of the original anime I was sure that I was going to get a generous spoonful of service along with plot equivalent to that of food bought at your regular convenience store because your mother couldn't fix you something better to eat.
That Spoon full of service? Well... I could tell its the same spoon God uses to eat his frosted flakes because it was fucking huge and the service was epic.

As much as I enjoyed, service isn't everything, but extremely high to what I usually give OVAs.

Don't judge just by it's 8 minute run time that it won't be as good as a full length episode. The line up of short minute long clips are sure to disturb some people or just make them laugh at how utterly random and nuts it is.
It has a high rewatch value and you might want to pause and appreciate some of the art work because it does move faster than your eyes can follow. You also might want to rewatch just so you can laugh one more at the punch line.
If you want more Panty and more Stocking, this will leave you with a
...
little less than what you were hoping for. It does have a lot of Garter, so if you're one of his fans you'll definitely laugh your asses off.
There's really no plot, and let me warn you now that it makes absolutely no sense
So for those who have their thumbs up their asses for the second season, this just might keep you out of withdrawal and let's hope that the last short of this little special isn't where this series is headed...
Keep your stockings crossed and your panties in a knot. (lolomfg corny I know)
This review in one sentence would be:
"Be sure to catch this if you enjoyed the series."

Story - 5
I knew from the beginning that this was just going to be a harem anime without too much plot or sense. It fails to tie up loose ends but are we really going to flame something that everyone knows no effort was invested in the first place?
(In other words if you thought the anime sucked because the plot sucked, you sir, are a retard. No shit the plot was going to suck)
well, not me. It has enough to carry what it wants to showcase but as always, they didn't try and they could have...
meh...
...
Art - 9
This is it, the highlight of this anime. This should be one of the only reasons you decide to spend twenty minutes in an episode. If not the well drawn service, the battle scenes in the sky is worth giving a look. The breath taking scenery and altitude of the fights in the air was awesome. It gives you a slight thrill of being 'in the air'. Be sure to watch it on a big screen with high quality for full effect. Battle suits and etc were also well animated.
Of course if service is your main focus, art is a must have. They went an extra mile with the air battles.
Sound - 7
Voice acting was good, battle sounds, and back ground music was fair. Pretty cool OP and ED themes.
Character - 6
I'm sorry, but fuck you if you're looking for character development in an anime clearing showing off it's service. Why don't you just go looking for water in the desert? We have a Childhood Friend Tsundere, a Princess, The Other Childhood Friend, The Reverse Trap, and the Military German.
There were some outstanding scenes of awesome that works off the personalities of the characters, but personality doesn't mean development, nor does it mean solid characters that are done well.
Enjoyment - 7
I got what I freaking expected and a little more at that.
Overall - 7
And yes, expectations are to be at a very low if you want a high probability of enjoying this anime. Don't go looking for plot or development. Go looking for service, a cheap harem, and some awesome air battles.
I repeat, good quality and a large screen are some things you might want for the full effect. It's not always necessary though.
