Anime otaku and weeaboo-free. Japanophiles are fine though.

First anime watched: Maya The Bee (Mitsubachi Māya no Bōken), The Littl' Bits (Mori no Yōki na Kobitotachi: Bellfy and Lillabit), Serendipity the Pink Dragon*

*I saw these shows as a child and had no idea that they were from Japan, were heavily edited and/or contained episodes combined to make movies.

First anime watched: Akira**

**This is when I knew what I was watching was actually from Japan.

Became a fan because of: Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman, Bubblegum Crisis, Tenchi Muyo, Ghost in the Shell, Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, Top wo Nerae! Gunbuster, Haja Taisei Dangioh, Urusei Yatsura, Vampire Princess Miyu, Samurai Pizza Cats, Shin Seiki Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing, and Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.

First manga read: Orion

Got started with: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon , Magic Knight Rayearth, Parasyte, Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Blue Destiny, and Slam Dunk.
