Synopsis

Scarlet el Vandimion has the most unfortunate and arduous task of being engaged to Kyle von Pallistan, the second prince. Not only is he crude and arrogant, but he also bullies her to no end. For the sake of her family, Scarlet has learned to endure, keep it cool, and tolerate his childish ways.

However, with another girl hanging off his arm, Kyle breaks off his engagement with Scarlet and accuses her of evil deeds that she never committed. Even so, she is not fazed; Scarlet asks for only one final thing. Most have forgotten the nickname she earned in her childhood, but at this moment, they are all too aware. Clenching her fists, the Mad Dog Princess shows that her true passion has always been the exhilarating, heart-pumping action of violence and bloodshed.

Scarlet is much beloved! She is tough, elegant and has a strong sense of justice. The Prince likewise had always felt restrained and his love of watching her fight; is his way of letting out his own desires. There is honestly not a character I do not hate (except villain's of course).

The plot thickens then releases but you know royals there is always drama. At 10 volumes one could consider it almost like 3 seasons:

The artstyle is high quality in the sense that its beautiful, everything is drawn perfectly.

Her fist fighting scenes are cool and make sense, the facial expressions when dealing blows and the words used add intensity to the action itself.

The plot is sensible and includes foresight meaning that the plot isn't stupid, she is trying to root out corruption in the nobility of the government.
Her character attitude is funny as she at times displays calmness and at other times rage.

I simply wish that there are more dynamic poses of her, like standoff akin to Jojo. It's a good Manga, don't pass it up.

This story is actually a pretty competent marriage of a shonen story and the villainess genre.

The very rare combination makes the story fairly unique, the story elements refreshing, the characters cool-looking. The story is also well-paced, with a good sense of escalation between one arc and another.

And one thing I deeply appreciate is that they take good care in developing side characters. Compared to many, many RoFan stories, the characters here are unique and less of a caricature.

However, as either a shonen story or a villainess story, this is kind of mediocre. Both elements are cannibalizing each other.
