Well, it's been a while since I wrote another review, and yes it's a Gundam review. I'm the person who has pretty much watched them all (not all but hey, I know all the ones that came out in the USofA). Okay what you have here in front of you was the first of its kind in Gundam History. While after the release of Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counter attack, a few people in BANDAI came up with a new concept, fuse Martial Arts with Gundam, and hence for became Mobile Fighter G Gundam. No one thought that this would work but it did. Though
...
many fans of the seires were kinda annoyed that the constant Custom Gundam were over used, it created an new basis for many of the new Gundam series. Many of you know them as the pretty boys of Gundam Wing and the overly issued Childrern of Gundam Seed. The concept of Five Hero Gundams shaked the Gundam world and is still happening now.
The story takes place in an alternet setting, not Universal Century. This new world is called Future Century. In Future Century, nations from around the world leave their homes and begin to live in space, in the newly formed space colonies called the Neo Nations. Even though many have left Earth, it's still a vitial resorce, and to prevent any further wars the Nations declare that every four years there is to be a Gundam Fight. The Gundam Fight determines which Neo Nation will take Earth into their hands. After each Nation selects one of their best fighters and locks them down on Earth, the battle begins.
In this story, it is now the 13th Gundam Fight. A Martial Artist from Neo Japan, Domon Kasshu, is sent to Earth. With his newly earned title of King Of Hearts, he brings fear upon his opponents, but Domon's true intensions is to search for his brother, which mysteriously disappeared after an incedent in the space colony of Neo Japan. Now the only remaining member of his family is his father which has been frozen as pusnishment for actiing against the Neo Japan Government. And to release his father, Domon must fight and win the Gundam Fight.
Eventually Domon realizes that he's not the only one that is willing to go the distance as he meets many formidable foes. Chibodee of Neo America, George of Neo France, Sai of Neo China, and Argo of Neo Russia all have their reasons of fighting within the tournament. They soon become friends after facing a menacing foe known as the Devil (Dark) Gundam.
The story is pretty good. It's not what I really expected from Gundam, and it was a completely new twist to things. I can rewatch it a few times and still enjoy it. Although, the birth of this series pretty much brought an unnecessary evil to the Gundam Franchise. With all the spoofs of Gundam Wing, Gundam War X, Gundam Seed, and a few other Super Gundam legacies, I can't help but get mad that because of this one show it had made Gundam into a Super Hero Five show. In the long run, its an okay show, not one of my favorites of the Gundam series, but Gundam Seed wasn't any better. So if you really want to see what started the Gundam Wing and the Five Gundam concept, this is what you are looking for.

Today I bring you another Giant Mech seires, but it's not Gundam. Today I'm gonna introduce you to another popular Mech seires called Patlabor. I really don't know much about this series but's really solid stuff. Think of it as a cross over of Gundam and Ghost In The Shell. What really got me into this movie was the mystery, not the battle scenes.
Okay, the story takes place in the present day 1999 (well this anime was made in the 80's), and in the middle of Tokyo Bay a new building is being built. The Mobile Police force has been assembled to prevent anyone
...
from destroying it. While this is happening a whole bunch of other Patlabor mechs have been going on random rampages. As they try to figure out the mystery to they quickly find out it's the building that's making all the Patlabor's go beserk. But how? Well you'll have to see the movie to see what's going on.
As my last qoute on this, it's an anime worth watching, even though it's kinda retro. To be an anime fan you have to like many of the old animes before you can start obsessing over the new ones. Patlabor the Movie is a must see.

Well, what's to say about Yu-Gi-Oh! GX? Well nothing much really. Basically they just added a new theme to Yu-Gi-Oh! that doesn't seem so good. When I first thought of the sequal of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, I thought that this one had to be good, but yet I was wrong. On the other hand there are a few good things about this show. Many of the cards that Yu-Gi-Oh! players loved appear in the show more often and shows a different approach toward Duel Monsters. Usually we thought that the theme of the Cards were Egyptian Monsters and what not, but in GX they change
...
it to modern day Monster themes. Many of the Characters have pretty well rounded themes, and it's nice to see what they'll draw next.
Basically they began where the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters was near its ending. While Yuugi and friends were facing off the dangerous Yami Bakura in one last game, this Duel Academy was getting praise from around the world. Duel Academy not just teaches kids to become better duelists, but also better Buisness men. Then appears Jaden Yuki, a kid that has one thing on his mind, becoming the next "King Of Games". He's not the only one though. Once he joins Duel Academy he faces several opponents, some stronger then most. But does Jaden have what it takes to become "King Of Games"?
Some advice to you about this series, don't watch the 4Kids TV version! If you know how bad 4Kids TV ruins many other good animes (ex: One Peice, Tokyo Mew Mew, etc), then you best know how bad it turns out. Try going on Youtube or some anime fourm where they show the anime in Japanese. You'll see that the characters are more serious then the ones 4Kids turned them into. Besides, we all know that Japanese anime is better then dubbed American versions, right? So take my advice and be more open minded about animes. Once again so it's refreshed in your heads.....4KIDS TV IS BAD!!! Thank you.

Hello!! It's me, Otakufreakmk2, with another Gundam Review!! YAAAYY!!! Knowing not many of you are fans of Gundam, I'm taking the privilage of introducing you to some of the best in Gundam!
Okay, when Gundam first came out in the US we were introduced to Gundam Wing and it's pretty boys. Well after that Cartoon Network soon showed the Original Gundam Series, then following up with it's side stories. One of these Side Stories was Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team. Unlike many of the Gundam series, this series showed much praise from it's loyal fans. It's uniqe way at approaching the story line was very
...
good and the relationship between characters was very good. The designs, as well, were amazing. This was something that I had to see.
The Story involves a less known Earth Federation Soldier Named Shiro Amada. He is sent to Earth on a mission to force the Zeon Forces out of earth, but on the way to Earth a battle begins. He soon helps a soldier in need and ends up becoming stranded in space with a female Zeon pilot named Aina Sahalin. They both fall in love but go their seperate ways. They both arrive on Earth and in the same battle grounds. They must now face each other off in a battle to end all battles on Earth. Shiro and his team of Ground Force Gundams against Aina and her brother's ultimate creation the Apsulas.
The story shows alot about what war does to people, in this case a war between Giant Robots. This is a Gundam series that must be seen. It doesn't really matter if you don't like Gundam, it's just an anime that you have to see. It's been awarded one of the bestAnime Of The Year, so that's proof of it's quality. Take it from me, the Otakufreak.

Heck, I've been a big player of Yu-Gi-Oh! since the game came out. I never wanted to get hooked on it but I did anyways. Basically, Yu-Gi-Oh is one of those many animes that big named companies makes money off of with collectable cards, toys, and what nots. But before we all came to know the Yu-Gi-Oh! that 4Kids TV showed us on the WB channel every morning, there was a series that started it all way before the Cards were the all so important factor of the show. This was the Original Yu-Gi-Oh thread, to many it's known as the Zero Season.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! we
...
meet young little Yugi Moto. Like in the show here he was introduced as a kind and loving friend to Tea (Anzu), Joey (Jonouchi), and Tristan (Honda). There is also another character that was forgotten to be shown as well, Miho Nosaka. Miho is another of Yugi's friends that usually hangs around Tristan or Tea.
Yugi finds the Millennium Puzzle in his families Game Store and decides to build it. The box says "who ever is able to complete this Puzzle will gain the powers of the Dark and one wish will come true". Yugi finishes the Puzzle and wishes for Friendship. Then the dark spirit, Yami, grants him this wish and protects Yugi's friends from dangerous Bullies, Gansters, Rich Snobs, and demented Criminals.
Unlike the Yu-Gi-Oh! you see on TV, this is way different then what I expected. Yami, which we all see as the super good guy is a crazy psycopathic killer in this series. Always playing mind games and then killing his opponent. He is some King of Games. This is one to check out.

Hey there. I give this anime a lot of good points but don't be fooled. For any anime fan this would be a good show, but to the true Hardcore Gundam fan, it's a complete upset.
It seems our guys in Japan are runing out of new Gundam ideas, ever since they started to over do it on the Gundams (thanks alot G Gundam!!). What I mean is, they placed too many Gundams in one series, that's one of many defalts. In Mobile Suit Gundam, there should only be one (or two, depends on the story), like the Highlander. The Gundam is to be seen as
...
the most powerful weapon. Of course they make that obvious but too obvious. The Gundams in these shows are ridiculously powerful, what happened to the Original Gundam concept? They turned a real mecha concept into a super mecha concept, and Gundam shouldn't be that way.
Another thing that caught my attention was that they were reviving the Universal Century world and changing it's name to Cosmic Era. At first I thought that would be okay but after they added five Gundams I was oh boy, then adding even more Gundams....god dam them. Making too many Gundams like that ruins the series.
Even though the anime was good and the art design was very well done, what pissed me off the most was it's really annoying characters. All of them are complaintive baby faced loosers!! Amuro would have no problem taking these upstarts down.
All in all, the story: good, designs: nice, concept: over done, characters: to annoying, and over all: well you can obviously see it. I'd watch it again but I don't know if I'll get pissed or happy. Don't expect Seed Destiny to be any different, it's teenage angst is way over. Hopefully Stargazer will replenish the Fans. I'm sticking to Universal Century.
PS
Gundam Seed Astray is actually way better then the Original Story line.

Well, Girls Bravo started out as a really good manga for me. When I started to watch the anime, it was almost the same as I expected it to be. Unlike the manga, this anime is loaded with lots of nude action. For a minute I was thinking I was watching a Hentai or something, but I wasn't. This anime is that pervertedly funny.
Basically the anime is one of your boy meets girl story lines. In this story the girl is from another world (like I haven't herd of that before), while the boy is completely allergic to women.
Yukinari Sasaki is a suffered young man
...
that went through his puberty like swiming in a pool of needles (ow..). He was bullied not by guys but rather women. Now even when he gets close to a girl, he brakes out into a horrible rash, which is very funny (yet not funny at the same time). As Yukinari went on his daily life of being tourmented by women, he finally gets home to relize that a childhood friend Kirie was in his bath tub. She punches the hell out of him and he falls into the bath tub where he is then magically transported to another world called Seiren.
In Seiren, Yukinari meets a girl named Miharu. What's strange about her is that when she gets close to him, he doesn't break out into a rash. He quickly becomes friends with her and learns that Seiren is a world that is populated by women. Yukinari then tries to escape the thousand of women that are try to steal him form Miharu and eventually returns home with Miharu at hand.
After that Miharu becomes Yukinari's new girlfriend, and Yukinari faces challenges that he thought would never happen in his life. Crazy women, Strange Creatures, and the completely perverted Kazuhara Fukuyama.
In the end, my thoughts on this anime were okay. It's not the best but it was popular in Japan for a while. I guess it was because of the well drawn women with large busts (Like many animes). But if you want to have a good laugh then watch this one, just be sure no little ones watch it (rated 17+).

Another of the UC Gundam seires is in review. When I was first introduced to Gundam I saw this movie right after the Oringinal Gundam series. Of course this is another sequal to the Char verses Amuro saga, and the last. The great fighting duo make their last stand in this movie and it's all that it should be.
UC 0093, and the AEUG has defeated the Neo Zeon's leader Haman Karn. A new person comes and takes place of the Zeon movement, and it's none other than Char Aznable, the real son of the Zeon Zum Deikun. Also Amuro returns to the broken Federation forces,
...
and is transfered to the Londo Bell team. Now they both fight for honor and a place in this world.
Char wants to complete his fathers dream by bring both spacenoids and the people of the earth together. But Char has a theory that all the souls of Man are weighed down by gravity and the only way to unite them with spacenoids is for them to feel the power of space. What Char means by that is by droping an asteriod on earth and creating a nuclear winter. Amuro will do anything to stop Char now, and this is his last chance to settle the score.
Like many of Tomino's work, it does not ceases to amaze me. If you are a fan of either Char or Amuro this is the movie to see. The end to the great Zeta War.

Hey there everyone. Yes, it's another Gundam review by yours truly. This time I'd like to introduce you to another of my favorite Gundam spin offs, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War In the Pocket. Unlike many of the Gundam seires that you'd usually see that takes place after the Original Gundam or in another Gundam Universe, Gundam 0080 takes place during the end of the Original Mobile Suit Gundam series. This fan fic version of the great One Year War explains the story of the people the live within the colonies. Though the show was only six episodes long, it was worth watching.
The story begins
...
like this, the War between Zeon and Federation is about to come to an end and things don't look good for Zeon. A team of Zeon pilots, The Cyclops team, was sent out by Solomon force to steal a supposedly new proto-type Gundam model. They were able to find it but lost the Gundam when it escaped to space. They quickly chase after it and discover it's hidden within a civilian space colony of Side 6.
In the story Side 6 wrote a treaty saying that they were not to be involved in the war. The Earth Federation took advantage of that and were able to hide the Gundam NT-1. But that didn't stop the Cyclops team. They attacked the colony and were able to sneak pasted through security without notice. But one thing went wrong.....
A young boy named Alfred meets one of the Cyclops team members, Bernard Wiseman, and became friends with the Zeon team. How can these Zeon soldiers complete their mission with this child following them? Time ticks as Solomon forces say they'll bomb the colony if the Gundam isn't taken care of......
All in all, this is another addition to the Universal Century. If you want to know more of the Gundam world, then this is your anime, just be sure you've seen the Original.

I rarely give an anime a perfect score, but this time I have. This is because I've got nothing but respect for this anime and how it's so funny. For those who are common to the Girl meets Boy, Boy does nasty things then gets smacked in the face by Girl, yea it's that kind of anime. But the thing that's different about this anime is it's morals, lessions in life, and awesome battle scenes.
Okay to sum it out, this is a tragic story of an Android from the Vesper forces, Mahoro, who has only a few days to live. In exchange of giving
...
up her armor and other weapon systems she is given the chance to live for a year or so. She then decides to become a maid for Suguru Misato, and brings this young man a new sight of life. Originally Suguru was a very depressed individual because his mother died of sickness and his father was died by mysterious reasons. Mahroro wants to help Suguru with the time she has left, but none of the her new friends, and Suguru, know's that she will die soon.
This anime has a second part but that review is for later. I first read the Manga version of this anime, and they are both good. This is an anime you shouldn't pass up. Not just because it's funny but it's just so freaken awesome.
