One can only say that Big Order is a bad, more shounen-ish version of Mirai Nikki + The anime start off with a boy getting superpowers + They meet a girl, whose appearance is pretty much the same in both anime + The girls are more or less psychopaths + The stories are similar in the sense that they involve protagonists having to team up to defeat threats + The stories have something to do with a god + These two anime are written by the same mangaka - Of course, the male lead's personality. Eiji is the polar opposite of Yukki

+ These two have an extremely similar atmosphere to them + Both of them are dark fantasies set in medieval times + Both protagonists carry huge swords + Although later in Berserk, the main characters' motive is revenge against devils + Not too much in Berserk anime, the leads have to fight against demons + Both anime are dark and violent - As mentioned earlier, the motives for each character are different for the most part of the series - Berserk heavily focuses on fighting against humans for the most part, not demons - Genders... Claymore has strong female characters while Berserk has strong male characters, speaking of majority

+ The male protagonists are quite similar. In most situations, they require help from the female leads. In other words, they're crybabies + Continuing from above, the female protagonists are similar in terms that both of them help save the guy escape from death + The plot revolves around the game they have to play to survive + The guy and girl have to work together to defeat other contestants + Both anime are violent - The goals of the games are different. Mirai Nikki's is to fight to become a God while the Deadman Wonderland's is simply fight to survive - The motives of the girl to help the guy is different in both (Not mentioning spoilers) - Of course, the setting is quite different

+ Both of them are RomComs set in highschool + The main guys in these two are very alike. Both of them are feared because they look like delinquents, but in reality they're sort of soft + It takes time for the female leads to realise that they like the main guy - The female leads are a little different, both in appearance and personality

KnK and AoT are similar in a lot of aspects. To be more precise, KnK is a less refined version of AoT. In other words, a rip-off. + Titans and Kabaneris are similar things in the sense that both species are driving humanity behind the walls, figuratively and literally as well + The protagonists have very similar motives. Their aims are to exterminate Titans/Kabaneris because their families were killed by these creatures + Mumei and Mikasa are similar in terms that they're both badass female protagonists alongside our main guy + Not gonna mention AoT spoilers, but there's a superpower involved in both of them - KnK deviates after some episodes to become generic, therefore different from AoT - The atmospheres and settings of the anime are a little different from each other

Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu
add

+ The MCs are forced to deal with non-humans as their partners + The MCs face a life changing experience after some episodes + The non-humans in both series only wish to survive. Their main purpose is not to take over humanity - Tokyo Ghoul has Ghouls, which do not interfere with the person's real self. Parasyte has parasites which take control over the host's body instead of merging with them (Shinichi/Migi duo is a special case)

+ Both the anime are extremely hilarious at times + Both of them have moments of sorrow/will make you feel for the characters + Both the anime are about a trio taking up jobs + Both anime are episodic for most of the part + The mangaka of SKET Dance used to be an assistant of the mangaka of Gintama, so SKET Dance is actually inspired by Gintama + SKET Dance is a high-school version of Gintama + Both the shows cast is extremely lovable + Some of the episodes are very similar - SKET Dance involves high-school related jobs for most of the part whereas Gintama has a more vast number of ideas for jobs

Although its been a long time since I've watched these 2 series, I'll try my best to phrase the similarities. + The overall atmosphere is dark and gloomy. + Both anime involve the main cast working in organisations. + Both have similar 'creatures'; Akumas and Chains. (Kind of Demons) + Both have 'contracts' to activate supernatural powers. - D.Gray-man is a obviously a longer series than Pandora Hearts. - And I sort of don't remember too well, but I'm pretty sure D.Gray-man was more 'seinen' towards the end.

Hyouka and Sakurako are similar in a handful of aspects - Both involve solving mysteries - Very similar feel - Both anime give off a boring but curious vibe (which I don't mind) Noticable difference: - Sakurako is based on murder cases while Hyouka revolves around mysteries inside a school

Platinum End
add

Well, even though only 3 chapters of Platinum End have been released while I'm writing this recommendation, they both follow the same main plot. Few individuals are chosen to finish each other off and become Gods. The main difference is of course the resources they have in hand. Mirai Nikki has diaries and Platinum End has Arrows/Wings.

Mirai Nikki (TV)

I would not say that the two shows are similar in terms of the story and plot, but I am writing this recommendation just suggesting the similarities between the two and why I recommend them. - Both have an ultra dark and depressing feel to them - Both of them have psychopaths and are really "gore-y". - The girl MCs both have pink hair (Valid point for recommendation!) - Both involve a little bit of romance.

Another
add

When I first started watching Another, I was 100% sure it'd be extremely similar to Higurashi. - Both of them start with a student who just moves into the village and strange murders start occuring around him. - Both of them involve students dealing with most of the investigations. Although Another can't be called as brutal as Higurashi, it's still a very similar show.

If you liked
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Shiki
add

- Both the shows focus on mysterious deaths happening in a rather isolated village. - Both of them involve students investigating majority of the time. - Both have murders which are disturbing as hell. - Both are extremely depressing to watch. (Trust me) Although Higurashi has different arcs which involve a 180 degree turn, I would still suggest that those who liked Higurashi (I feel sorry for you if you liked all those murders, unless you deeply hated many of the characters, just like I did) will surely like Shiki as well.

If you liked
Elfen Lied

Hellsing Ultimate
add

This is a rather light recommendation. Although these two do not really share the same type of story, they're similar due to the fact that there's violence and gore in both. - Hellsing Ultimate is really dark, there isn't too much of a sad backstory behind it. - Elfen Lied on the other hand has a sad and dark (less than Hellsing though) That aside, main characters are total bad asses and demonstrate a hell of a show everywhere they go.
