“I have a big gun, and I took it from my lord”.
The fictional town of Roanapur in Southeast Asia was the most corrupt and dangerous existing city. Gangsters, mercenaries, violence, prostitution, drug addiction and murder. It is in this city that is the headquarters of the Lagoon Company, a group of mercenaries who undertake any work as maritime smuggling, escort, assaults, and even hunting for rewards. It is composed by Benny, a technology expert, Dutch as the leader and the Beautiful and deadly killer Revy.
After being kidnapped and discarded by his company on redemption, a guy named Rokuro felt so angry with everything and
...
with your lifestyle that he solves joining the Lagoon Company. He became know as Rock.
The development of the anime will be in accompany Rock, Revy and the Lagoon performing their jobs and engaging with many dangers in their missions in Roanapur.
If you're too young, you will be prompted to: There is a side of the new anime age that very few have the courage to show, and those who grew up watching Yu Yu Hakusho will remember with nostalgia: Violence debauched.
In an attempt to show a more naked, violent and gray reality, those animes made use of violence and debauchery to tell us the following: the world is violent, unjust and rotten. So, if you do not like it, fuck you. That's Black Lagoon.
Without focusing too much showing the past of the characters to compose them, Black Lagoon bet more on the actions and dilemmas of each one present to develop them using Rock and Revy as counterpart. He, an ordinary guy, with nothing more, is now engaging with people living in this world without feelings for a long time, as Revy. It's under Rock's point of view that the anime shows how much the world is violent, and it does not kill you, it's you who dies.
Do not wait here cuddly things, beautiful feelings or 'good overcome evil'. You must be prepared for all those cliches of the genre: the adrenaline, the destruction, the action and exaggeration. Revy and various characters doing everything so well with poses, smoking cigarettes or drinking and destroying everything with that aura of Chuck Norris (the main characters are never shot, but always kill 200 guys with a gun having 7 bullets in the clip).
But despite the cliches, we are presented with a great opening/ending and with a diversity of amazing characters that makes the show worthy. A round of applause for special women in the plot, as the former russian military Balalaika, the assassin with daggers Shenhua, the nun shooter Eda and the Venezuelan maid Roberta.
Violent, mocking, exaggerated, Black Lagoon presents us with those scenes of explicit action without requiring a lot like those old classics that will never comeback. With an amazing range of great characters, this anime shows that the world is rotten, and that's the world we live in.

How is your life lately?
Two words to encourage you to watch this OVA: Makoto Shinkai.
Everyone knows: Makoto is a wizard, which turns affection in anime.
Creator of the beautiful Kotonoha no Niwa and Byousoku 5 Centimeter, Makoto brings us this little 6min OVA, much more sensitive and touching than other great titles out there.
Dareka in Manazashi tells us a bit of Aya, a girl who lives alone and who now had a bad day at work. Tired, she just wants to get home and collapse in bed. She is surprised by a call from his father, who wants to have dinner with her. But her
...
day was so overwhelming that she just wants to be alone and invents a story to no go see him. In here, the narrator shows a bit of Aya's relationship with his family from the beginning until now, and shows that she really has left behind the choices they have made, as well as his father.
I will not comment much about this OVA, but recommend everyone to attend it. With beautiful music in the background, Dareka Manazashi goes deep in the soul of those who have left home to build their own lives: the challenges, loneliness, and the price we pay for fighting for our dreams. Everything in just 6 minutes.
Beautiful.

This review is based on all the movies of Kara no Kyoukai.
It is possible to contain the urge to kill ?
First moment: Ryougi Shiki is a beautiful young woman that shortly woke from a coma. With her confused memories, she feels a deep emptiness, as if something had died in itself, doing it with it closed itself. Upon awakening, Shiki discovers that she now has a supernatural ability called ' Mystic Eyes of Death perception ' that makes her look the' line of death of all things '. Joining his great fighting ability and this supernatural ability, Shiki works as an investigator of paranormal cases
...
and murders, since your eyes knows exactly where to cut an opponent and immobilize him, which costs a spirit to exorcise it and a magical barrier to disable it. At his side, always supporting her, there is your devoted friend, Mikiya and Touko Kokutou, a sorceress investigating paranormal events and exorcist.
Second Moment: Ryougi Shiki is a different teenager. She has something like two personalities. One, the Ying side ' Shiki ', is a serious quiet and reserved girl. The other, ' SHIKI ', the Yang side, is talkative, outgoing and ... killer. Yes, this personality is attracted by death, blood, and have a deep desire to kill. However, his lone rigorous training routine is broken by Kokutou Mikiya, a young man who insists on being her friend.
How this teen dual personality becomes this empty, cold and possessing an uncanny ability woman? What happened to Shiki in the meantime? What are these paranormal cases they are investigating? Well, i present to you this work of art called Kara no Kyoukai.
Is fucking hard to talk about this anime, especially without giving (a lot) of spoiler. Sorry guys, but it is impossible for any review to explain everything that is Kara no Kyoukai. So instead try to explain it (and fail) i'll give some tips and precautions before you watch the series.
1 - Kara no Kyoukai is nothing chronological. There are 7 movies ever released, only that each film has a different time. So, the first movie shows Shiki as a adult and the second is when it is still a teenager. So, when watching the first movie, you're thinking ' dude, what the fuck was that? '. This is normal, the plot will make sense over time, but in the beginning you will float away. Some people prefer to watch in chronological order, which will make you stay a bit lost, but the two orders make sense, nothing hinders the end.
For those who want to watch in chronological order: Movie 2, 4, 3, 1, 5, 6, 7.
2 - Kara no Kyoukai has a difficult story to understand... and does not care to explain.
Complicated dialogues, paranormal abilities, many details and different tips that connect a movie on the other. And even with all that, KnK does not bother to give you all the answers, leaving your account by connecting the dots. Attention turns to anime characters, to show people with troubled minds, frustrated dreams, desires, fears ... and how good these people deal with their supernatural powers and their consequences. So KnK requires a lot of attention.
3 - Kara no Kyoukai is a heavy anime. If you want a typical or an anime with cute things, let KnK aside. Here you will see rape members of people being twisted as it screws, shredded people and a lot of blood. This is an adult anime, that addresses complex issues and heavy, but well quality drama.
4 - Kara no Kyoukai is synonymous with quality. Kara no Kyoukai is the eldest son of the love triangle ' work of Type -moon Ufotable + studio + band Kalafina '. Anyone who has watched FateZero knows that this trio is quality assurance. Oh, and did you know that Kalafina band was formed because of KnK ? Yes, Yuki Kajiura Vocal formed the band to do the soundtrack of the film 1, and the band responsible for the soundtrack of every film. So expect a visually beautiful anime, with a plot that balances the supernatural and reality and a wonderful soundtrack.
Now, the characters. The focus is on three main characters. Touko, a mature and irresponsible, sexy, loose and great sorceress wife. Kokutou, partner and friend of Shiki, is the example of the 'boring' guy. But he's the only one able to contain all the killer instinct of Shiki. Not to mention his dedication to her.
And finally, Ryougi Shiki. Is rare to produce a character with such a complex subjectivity as in Kara no Kyoukai. Shiki addition to dealing with the duality of his dual personality, is a deadly killer while it's human. We follow her at various times of his life dealing with many dilemmas , dualities and trauma during the storyline. When confronted with different people , she thinks , she feels , she turns. So when you think you got used to it, it cuts in half your expectations . I confess: i love this character.
Not to mention that even being a skilled assassin with his knife, Shiki will face more powerful people than her. But she's going to win the latest consequences for facing any challenge ahead.
Ah, the end of the last film for me is perfection in the form of anime.
But I reiterate: Kara no Kyoukai is not an anime for children, but it's an anime for those seeking more than a simple drawing. Take care to see it , otherwise it will be a stab in your mind and in your stomach. Shiki will make you bleed.

"- Hey, they say it's 5 centimeters per second...
- What?
- The speed at which cherry blossom petals fall, 5 centimeters per second."
One of the biggest mistakes we make in my opinion is that we find the relationships we have with others are somehow ready or stable.
We think every mom has to love a child, that we will not lose the will to keep a promise made years ago, and mostly, we think that when we fall in love, when we found a 'perfect someone', we feel that strong affection... and think that this will never change.
This is a serious mistake.
All affections and relationships are
...
in a constantly changing exercise. They must be built every day, they are a mutant process.
A mother is not obliged to love a child without deserve it. A friendship, a love can change depending on how are they involved.
It is on this issue that this film from Makoto Shinkai focus: Relationships, affections and they become changing little by little, without us noticing.
Takaki and Akari are two children who are not part of any group, no friends, but together they complete each other. A beautiful friendship.
However, Akari will have to move to another city, going away from Takaki. The pain of loss, of not having that dear next door always... but even far away, they promise to keep their relationship, mainly through letters.
A year later, which will now be Takaki move, increasing the distance between the two even more... But before he goes, Takaki ' touches a fuck ' on a train enters and goes to visit Akari, trying to keep his promise, their relationship, and mainly the affection that unites them.
This anime has 3 parts. The first is that I reported the above, the second counts as Takaki and Akari try to keep your distance relationship in adolescence, and the third when the two are already adults.
Well, this is my favorite work of Makoto Shinkai (beside the beautiful Kotonoha in Niwa) and follows the same characteristics of the author's work: beautiful traits that show from the most beautiful natural landscape, to the routine and alienating gray market work and adult life. Since giving a bird swooped up a machine pounding clothes.
With a simple and charming soundtrack and theme song by closing with a key - of - gold at the last episode, summarizing the whole relationship of Takaki and Akari, giving us an ending that... holy shit.
With that footprint that only has in Makoto movies, this story picks up where it hurts, where we all see it, somehow... after all, the message is clear:
Just like a cherry blossom falls just 5 centimeters per second, our relationships and affections are made of small moments and change very slowly... but after a while, the cherry tree loses all its flowers, becoming unrecognizable. So also our relations become something that may be completely different than it was before.
A film that makes us think how we have built and maintained our relationships. Wonderful.

Makoto is a student who suffers from a problem that many of us suffer : difficulty coping with time. Always running against the clock , both in day- to-day ,as when having to decide what to make of his life. Furthermore , Makoto ( who claims to have more luck than gambling ) is off the rails , fumbling , stumbling or falling lives. One day, Makoto slips and fall upon an object that looks like a walnut. Then realize that shes falingl, not on the floor, but in a diverse blurry landscapes and psychedelic... but it all ends , as if nothing had happened.
...
Sometime later , she manages to avoid suffering a terrible accident , realizing that , moments before the slip , she got the skill 'jump' by time. At first, she is scared of this ability , but by learning to control it , it starts to use and abuse this power ... for someone who 's running out of time , you want more skill baton ?
Ah my dear travelers, but Mcfly , Okarin , and several others teach us that in time should not move at all when changing a link , modify the entire chain of events , and once the butterfly beat its wings , a whole chain of events is changed unpredictably , affecting not only her life but the lives of those around you this .
Ok , one more film about time travel ... We have all had contact with some history of this issue : Back to the future , Terminator , Click, The 12 Monkeys , Final Fantasy 8 , Steins; Gate ...what to expect from new ?
Despite having beaten a subject , Toki Wo Kakeru Shoujo can handle a very interesting, unique and pleasant plot to see and keeping you from the beginning of the film until the end.
The characters are great , focusing more on Makoto and his two friends , Chiaki and Kousuke , who are the ones who suffer the consequences of time travel. But Makoto 's high point , for being so human , so real , that surely will remind you of someone you know . At various times , you laugh with it , makes you want to hug and cry with her. Not to mention that for being so clumsy , sincere and fun , it brings a great mood to the film . In the unfolding of the plot , one can not but fall in love and cheer for her and her friends .
The traces are not very conventional , most are wonderful , and together with the beautiful soundtrack , marry well with the plot , especially in moments where Makoto passes dilemmas and suffers the consequences of his travels .
And finally, a beautiful and surprising end, closing with a flourish a story that masterfully mixes the drama and humor. It is the recommendation of a wonderful movie. Heres a tip: we always want to change the past to make the perfect present ... but it is the imperfections of this that we have the most precious and amazing life ... have you noticed ?

A girl cries. She's lost in the woods and do not know how to get out. But his cry is interrupted by a distant voice. A young man wearing a fox mask says he can help her out of the forest, but with a condition: she could never touch him.
That's how you know Hotaru and Gin. Gin monitors Hotaru for output. They say goodbye and she leaves. What a surprise to see that she Gin back the next day to say thanks, wanting to know about her. She also around the other day, and another, until she has to go away for a long time,
...
and only return the next vacation.
Hotaru, even far away, can not forget that young masked boy and spent almost a year in the next vacation, she comes back, all excited to spend more time with his mysterious friend. So whenever the summer vacation, they meet and develop this unexpected and strange relationship, always fulfilling the condition of never touching. But even spending most of the year apart, her thoughts are always at each other, wishing the upcoming holidays arriving soon.
This anime is a small, extremely simple 45-minute in all aspects, but it can be wonderful even with little time, and can rightfully be so simple.
Without an epic soundtrack, flashy featureless, with only two characters and a plot: two people who like each other, but they can not touch.
The magic of this anime is developing in a very pleasant relationship of the characters. Bringing a mood and tasty, a tenderness and an unexpected relationship with a lovely outcome ... and simple.
Great movie that fills 45 minutes of your life beautifully.
Here's an example of an anime that with very little time, excites us with a beautiful story that shows us that the most important thing in life is being with who we love ... anyway.

Who knew physics, that story boring as hell taught by our high school fat teacher would be so cool?
No, my little friends, I do not hate physics. In fact, quite the contrary: I have always been fascinated by the crazy theories that modern physics has brought us, especially in the areas of Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology. It was due to this personal interest that led me to seek Steins; Gate. Incidentally, let us say in passing, with great delay. Another one joined the list "Animes that should have watched before."
The major plot of the anime is nothing less than the big taboo popularized by
...
Einstein: Time travel. Yes, for those who are unaware of it or find it funny, time travel is theoretically possible, we just do not have such technology. Yet. Perhaps this is one of the most fascinating things in the anime.
The story of Steins; Gate takes place in a laboratory Akihabara, having as protagonists physicists Rintaro Okabe, the self-proclaimed Mad Scientist Houin Kyoma and Makise Kurisu, a young prodigy who is in japan passing.
We have as great antagonist anime none other than the SERN! Yes, you've heard? The SERN, or European Organization for Nuclear Research does exist. It is the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, famous for having developed the LHC in 2007, an instrument that would try to collide particles at the speed of light, much feared by their risk of eventual generation of a Black Hole, which once created would expand indefinitely to suck our planet and everything in it orbits.
Warning them of the forehand: you will find the beginning of the anime a little confusing. But do not worry, it's normal. A tip that I give you here is simple: do not worry about understanding the story in the first episode, but try to remember the details displayed on it, because later they will be resumed.
With 24 episodes, the anime is divided into two parts: the first, in which the pair of scientists, together with team mates from the laboratory is focused on the research and development methods of time travel, very light and funny, practically a Slice of Life of a crazy guy doing scientific experiments. Incidentally, here's one of the great successes of the anime: Steins; Gate can have a really clever comedy and very good, without having to resort to clichés resources like little songs, beatings, moe and other inductive methods to laughter. In the second part of the anime it changes dramatically: turns into drama, become sad and full of action and suspense at the same time.
If you've seen the movie The Butterfly Effect, will definitely familiarize yourself with the second part, since the anime also addresses, in a much more evidently that part of physics belonging to Chaos Theory. And it would be impossible not to talk. It's practically a consequentialist logic: changing certain fact already accomplished generates thus a Butterfly Effect.
Steins; Gate is an anime for those seeking thrills: is an anime to laugh, cry and even gasp with certain events that happen throughout the episodes.
Do not miss it.
