I heard some good things about this anime from someone and was curious to try it out. I don't usually watch RomComs because I dislike the unrealistic setups and the development of relationships. Yes, the setups are still unrealistic in this anime, but because it's a parody, and because the execution is so hilarious, it doesn't ruin the atmosphere at all. Never have a seen a RomCom make the female protagonist so aggressive and masculine before. It was hilarious and really created a very realistic and grounded woman. Honestly, I think that's what sold the series for me, the strong willed heroine, who has lots

It's an overpowered main character who gets transported to another world, and develops a harem on the other side. But I actually enjoyed the pacing and the plot development. Every episode felt like it was building on the world. Though arcs are never too long. I don't think any arc was longer than 2 episodes. Maybe a few arcs could have benefited from a bit more details added, for example, it would have been more fun if they got to explore and discover more things in a labyrinth. But the pacing was always good, developing the plot and completing it without feeling rushed.

I was looking forward to this OVA to continue the story of Asobi Asobase. But it was a bit of a let down to be honest. There were only two vignettes, neither was that strong, but the second one was definitely the weakest. It felt hard to make sense of what was going on without any context. We were thrown right into the teacher's past with her past classmates without any introduction. I was definitely thrown off for a loop because I didn't understand that we had time skipped to the past 15 years. I thought it was another group of 3 teenage girls. It

I went into this series not knowing exactly what to expect. I saw the "gag comedy" tag but wondered just how could a show about 3 teenage girls really be "gag comedy"? Well, I was surely proven wrong by this show. It is hilarious and so over the top. This may be the funniest anime that I have watched to date. In my opinion, it's better than Konosuba and Nichijou.
The comedy sketches are so ridiculous but they really deliver on the landing. And it can sometimes be a fast paced show as the banter goes back and forth. Comedy is very person dependent. What one ... Dec 21, 2022

I enjoyed this series. It was a both a healing anime and a Cute Girls Doing Cute Things sort of anime. After watching an episode, I always have warm feelings inside and feel relaxed. It isn't a very deep series. Just a nice anime to relax and make you appreciate life. And it kind of makes me want to have that sort of experience they have in the anime, that is, to make things out of wood with friends. I've never woodworked in my life, but it did make me want to put in the time to work on other side projects and hobbies of

I'm kind of mixed on this series. On the one hand, the animation is quite beautiful. In fact, the high score I gave this series is in large part due to the generally beautiful animation. The story is just okay, though the last arc was quite good. Still, the general premise of the series is pretty ridiculous. It may just be my bias and inability to completely suspend my disbelief. But there are all sorts of things that happen that are just out there. Definitely hits those anime tropes where pretty much anything goes.

The story is quite engaging. And based on the high ratings of the source material light novel, I can assume that the story will only get better.
The anime was developed and released in two separate cours, each cour lasting about 12 episodes. The first cour is so much better. The animation is good, and the pacing is decent. But the second cour was sort of a let down. They really didn't do much justice to the light novel with its poor animation and pacing. It seems like the studio outsourced half of the work out. And it's that half that shows the greatest problems in ... |
