Both shows have a frenetic, rapid-fire style of comedy, where as soon as one joke is over, they've moved onto the next- and sometimes they don't even wait that long, layering together their jokes in a sort of Matryoshka doll of absurdist humor. This results in a very high laughs-per-minute ratio, and almost always ensures that, at the very least, part of the joke will land successfully. As both shows were created by Trigger and feature law enforcement as the main characters, they also naturally share a similar sense of humor. Furthermore, both shows elevate parody to high art, managing to weave entire plots together by mish-mashing references to other media; Inferno Cop does this to pretty much everything under the sun, while Luluco more specifically focuses on Trigger's own works (including Inferno Cop itself). This is also where the key difference between the two lies, as while Inferno Cop is a so-bad-it's-good bastardization of common fictional tropes, Luluco is an honest celebration of Trigger's success and actually has a legitimate, compelling narrative hidden underneath its wackiness. Finally, as both are very short watches, with Luluco's episodes being only seven minutes long and Inferno Cop's a measly three, they're both easily digestible yet extremely fun watches that can be finished in a single sitting.

Both shows have the same director (Watanbe Masaharu), character designer (Ootsuka Shinichirou), and music composer (Suehiro Kenichiro), which gives them a very similar vibe, especially Watanbe's tense, enthralling and beautiful directing. Both shows have badass yet cute casts of strong female leads (all-female, in the case of Granbelm) who wield magic, existentialist themes, and intense action sequences.
