True Ending of Season 2 is cut content so you didn't probably understand other things in background. Things like character development will show its effect more in next season.

You will understand better why Season 2 is better than Season 1 after Season 3.

Season 2 makes Season 1 god tier but it is a god tier on its own because it is flawless arc and explains & solves every criticism for Season 1.
