I like both. Hummingbird is more useful for finding new series to watch thanks to the recommendations and the dashboard feed and I like being able to list Anime Influenced cartoons, but MAL is better for finding shorts and more obscure anime thanks to clubs and stuff, So it really depends on what you want to use it for(other than tracking.). That is why I keep both up to date. I guess I give MAL a slight edge at the moment just because of Manga Lists but, once HB adds that I think I will prefer it to here.
