Indeed, school is such a pain, it's what's been keeping me from replying back to my comments all this time T__T. Well, it's not like my schedule's really tight or anything (actually it's way better than any shedule I've ever had), but high school means a lot of personal work and really hard tests, so I've been stressed out for several days now. Again, I'm sorry~

It was awesome, we had seats just in front of the finish line, and we got to see Usain Bolt establish a new world record :D !

I love the full version of Katayoku no Tori as well, and I really enjoy listening to that other song in the album, called VII. I'm guessing the title itself is another reference to the Seven Stakes of Purgatory, since the lyrics in the song refer back to them as well (Reeengooku noooo nana shimaaaii~)

Yeah, eBay is evil. I don't think I'll ever buy anything on this website, except if the shipping costs are rather low, but, you know, eBay, low shipping costs, it just doesn't compute.

That sucks for you :s As for me, school starts wednesday next week, and I still don't know whether I will have school the whole day on wednesdays and nothing on saturdays, or half a school day on wednesdays and same thing for saturdays... Honestly, I don't know what's best :s

Aw, that's too bad, Shikata Akiko is really a goddess of music though. She has a very special voice, I guess that's why your parents dislike her songs, but it's so catchy and relaxing at the same time~ It's like a totally new era of japanese music. I just finished downloading her new single, with the Umineko anime opening song and another one in it, and I can't stop listening to these two tracks *0*

I'm so jealous, I've always wanted the Higurashi artbook *__* !! But the only place I can find it is on ebay, and that's a definite no-no (look at those shipping costs o__O !!).

Same thing here, but I'll think it'll be quite hard trying not to look at any form of spoiler, 'cause, well, I just love roaming around the Umineko Image Thread on the Animesuki boards, and since you have to put pretty much every image inside spoiler brackets, be it characters who have not appeared in the anime yet or future game characters, it's so damn taunting @__@. I hope I won't encounter any episode 5 spoilers, and, as a matter of fact, any episodes 6 & 7 spoilers as well, since I think it'll be much cheaper to just wait until all the games are released. Of course the wait will be killing me, and if they dare make a second season before I play the said answers arcs, I'm seriously going to have murderous intents.

Yup, I love Shikata Akiko too, actually I've just downloaded *coughcough* her three most recent albums, Harmonia, Raka, and Navigatoria. Harmonia has very good tracks, Raka is even better, and I have yet to listen to the rest of the Navigatoria songs, but from what I heard I think it's too calm for my taste :/

Ooh~, well, that's good to hear, good luck for the Higurashi and Umineko groups, I'd really like to do that someday too~ . Next anime con for me is in May 2010, phew... But that way I have time to save money ^^ (I usually go to a convention with a couple hundreds, but they mainly come from my grandparents, who give me money for my birthday and Christmas, which is good because I can use my allowance to buy stuff at my local anime shop. Plus, my birthday just happens to be the second day I'll go to that anime con ^^)

Yeah, that's why I decided to stay away from the episode 5 discussion thread on the Animesuki Umineko forum, 'cause what started off as friendly "I'm so looking forward to it" quickly turned into sharp analyzes of every single scene from the new opening, and really farfetched theories that I had to force myself not to look at because I haven't played episode 4 yet >__<. Plus if some of them actually turned out to be right, that would totally ruin the fun. I mean, can't people just wait for the game to come out, instead of trying to figure everything out before playing the said game ? Is that some new level of sadism o__O ?

I have an undying love for Shikata Akiko, so part of me doesn't like the new opening, mainly because the new singer has kind of an average voice, whereas you won't ever find a singer like Akiko, but I gotta admit the graphics are stunning. Well, if I weren't so biased I guess I would like the new opening song, but that won't keep me from downloading the single when it comes out :p

And another good reason for me to be incredibly jealous of my friend's friend who'll be going to Comiket this summer : they'll release "Umineko music boxes", some kind of soundtracks that compile tracks from the game as well as original musics and songs, and longer versions of game tracks. I got my hands on the demo, and man, I am so downloading this when it comes out, I would even be ready to buy it if only it wasn't sold only at Comiket. The new musics and songs are gorgeous, and the full version of happiness of marionnette is to die for. Oh, and apparently there will be two of these soundtracks, "Red" and "Blue", the first one for musics that have to do with Beatrice, demons and other kind of magic, and the second one symbolizing Battler, hope, etc. You get the picture.

There were some Higurashi cosplayers at the anime con I went to earlier this summer, I think I spotter Mion and Satoko, and later on some pictures of the event I noticed there was Rena as well :D. Too bad I didn't actually see her in person :<
Oh, and there were a few K-ON cosplayers I was very surprised to see, since the series is so recent. I saw Tsugumi, Yui, and apparently there were several Mios.

Yeah, but you'd be surprised at how accurate the opinions of animesuki/2chan posters can be. It wouldn't be a shock for me if they actually turned out to be right ^^

The new opening song is... well, certainly very different from what I had expected (Shikata Akiko NOOOO BAAWW COME BACK T___T), but not bad, I guess. I've always thought Umineko was better off with a creepy opening song with choruses just like the one for the Question Arcs, but with a J-pop kind of song ? I don't know, it feels kinda weird, but if like in Higurashi the atmosphere changes drastically from the question arcs to the answer arcs, I guess it was a good choice. But does that mean that we'll have only 2 openings at best done by Shikata Akiko in the anime ? NO WAAAAY >__<
That reminds me, I haven't seen the third episode yet, shame on me...

I know a friend of mine who herself has a friend who's going to Comiket this year, and apparently she managed to convince her to bring back a copy of End of the Golden Witch to her, I am SO jealous right now >__<

Oooh, talking about cosplay, I plan on cosplaying Ange Ushiromiya for the next anime con that's gonna take place during the last weekend of May in 2010 (still a long way to go as you can see ^^'). I noticed a good looking costume of her on ebay, but wow, $95, you've got to be kidding me o__O !! I don't remember it being so expensive last time I checked. Well, I hope the price goes down a bit by that time, but hey, on the bright side, the shipping is free ^^ (I live in France, so shipping costs are usually very high). I don't think I'm gonna bother buying a red wig (rather, I think I will dye my hair red), but I'll buy those little things she has in her hair, I don't think it will be too hard to find. This year for the annual anime convention that takes place in July (the biggest anime con in Europe, by the way :D), I was dressed up as Haruhi Suzumiya, in her gothic lolita dress (you know, the one she wears on a figure) :D.

There's already so much, I don't think we need a new one... But meh, if Ryukishi07 is planning on introducing at least one new character for each game released, well, there's a good chance there's gonna be a couple more witches before the series end.

Yeah, I read that on Animesuki as well, a lot of people refer to her as Maria's rose. I kinda hope that they're wrong, otherwise it would really spoil the surprise, but it would make sense, since after all Maria's rose did disappear at the beginning of the game and we still have no clue where the hell it went.

But I don't want to believe it~ >__<

Apparently I'm not the only person who thinks that this new character shares a lot of similarities with Bernkastel. There are a lot of theories going on in the corresponding thread on the Animesuki forums, but I prefer to stay away from it ^^'
I hope she has some kind of connection with Bernkastel :D

And good, Im glad you're enjoying it. Yeah, it was the end of episode 8 that Kamina died, and I assume thats what you're getting at. He may be dead, but he's defiantly not forgotten, so he's still very much a part of the series.
