To put it simply, you could call that Anime an adult version of Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta, since it tries to mix different stories together. The main difference is that Sasaki is not only more matured but also smarter - which is realistic for an old guy with some more experience. However, that doesn't mean it's better.
basically we have like 3 different story plots which are mixed while also feeling more like just a slice of life show:
- Sasakis travel to another world thanks to his new
...
"pet" Pii-chan
- Sasakis work for an organization which keeps an eye on (and also fight against) users of special powers to protect the people
- something about Magical Girls who hunt down those users of special powers
- ther is also an other story but I don't want to spoil you - even though it's introduced literally in the last seconds...
So, is this Anime good? ... Well, yes and no.
The stories aren't bad per se but the mix is kinda as bad as in Isekai Cheat Skill - but at least Sasaki acts careful to hide his true abilities as good as possible. Also, there are cute Gilrs who don't just fall in Love with him instantly, even though I'm not 100% sure if the neighbor girl sees him as a potential lover or as a father figure. But unfortunately she never gets really fleshed out.
However, the biggest weakness in my eyes is, that there is little to no tension at all. You almost never get the feeling that Sasaki is in danger. The only danger is his secret to come out but that's everything. That counts for both main story lines. Therefore, I think it would have been better to either seperate them in form of different Anime or put more effort in the mixing. And if not that, than maybe do it the other way around, give a f*ck about logic and a good mix, to create a guilty pleasure to enjoy. Maybe you think that Isekai, special ability Users, Magicians, Magical Girls and so on are too much to fit in together, but Re:Creators already showed in a masterful manner how to achieve that goal.
Last but not least, the music/sound. Well, it's nothing special but it's also not bad. The OP sounds Shounen like but doesn't fit so good for Sasaki. The ED however... OMG! It doens't sound bad... BUT the visuals are just POTTENHÄSSLICH! (I had to pu it in german since englisch words can't describe my eyecancer from this). To put it simply, if I wouldn't know the Anime and someone would show me the ending, I wouldn't build any interest in it. Yeah, maybe I'm too nitpicky about it, but the rest of the show looks good, so why not the Ending?
All in all, this Anime has some weaknesses but is not bad. Also, Shizuka is best Girl of this Anime (I didn't describe her, cause I don't want to spoil you). Well, since there will be a second season, maybe the Anime gets better.

(There is only a minor "spoiler" ahead but nothing concrete.)
Ever since Bakarina (especially the second season) it feels like Anime where the Main Heroine who is going to die because she's a bad person becomes good because someone other got reincarnated in their bodies and want to change their fate seems to be quite popular (you can find way more of such stories in Manga and Manwha). So especially if you saw some Anime of those kind, you may ask yourself "So why should I watch another one of those? Isn't it the same as always?" - So let me answer: "No, not at
...
all!"
There are some mayor things which make this Anime so enjoyable and create enough differences to other stories like that.
The very very first thing even before the first is the fact that there is no reincarnation of an Isekai-typ, it's Mia herself and no one other - and I love that!
First, instead of showing a small piece of how the character would end while the Main Heroine has an inner monologue about that, we see what awaits our main Girl Mia as she's imprisoned, gets abused (not in a sexual way or at least there is no mention of such things) and killed of by the Guillotine. In other words,we can see and kinda feel her pain, what makes her motives understandable.
Second is that after her timetravel she doesn't have immedeatly a change of heart and becomes a good person. No. She's the same as always and keeps her egoistic attitude, BUT she changes more and more over time while getting more fleshed out (which is a realism I appreciate)
Third one is the logical continue of that. Because she knows what awaits her, she behaves other than before - and that is where the comedy kicks in right away!
On the one hand you get really funny moments everytime Guillotine-kun shows up in Mias imagination (seriously, the idea of creating this "character" is so damn great!), while on the other hand her behaviour always getting misunderstood in a way everyone thinks she would be full of wisdom. Yeah, that's kinda hilarious, but it's way more understandable and entertaining than in an other Anime beginning with "O" and ending with "verlord" - at least in my opinion.
Other characters getting fleshed out as well, but unfortunately not as good as Mia-chan. However, Anne is second best character of this Anime for me, especially because of her inner thoughts which are kinda hilarious while also showing her sweet heart.
I cannot complain about the music, OP and ED both fit well, even though the OP is a bit better in my opinion. The art is kinda basic but still good, nothing to complain about - however, the scenes with Guillotine-kun as well as Mias and Annes inner thoughts are my highlights.
All in all, it's an enjoyable Anime with a lot of humor and some glimpses of darkness here and there. When you Love shows like Bakarina, you will love this one as well, I'm sure!

Well, good things first: The sound is good. The art is kinda... welll, once you get used too it, it's kinda good and unique. The ehm... let's call it a "Stroy" is also unique in its own way and some characters are funny.
And now the bad things: The whole rest!
As I just said the story is unique. Also, I don't have problems with stories you have to think about to understand everything like in Serial Experiments Lain, King of Thorns, or the Info dumping within the first episodes of Steins;Gate and DURARARA!!
But the difference is that those Anime have a good story and once
...
you understand everything, it gets even better. But Under Ninja...
There are just too many mistakes. For example, within the first episodes it goes always back and forth, which is not a problem, BUT(!) there are also several storylines mixed together which don't have any connection - or at least it feels this way since this Anime constantly throws in new characters and relations, while also having the time jumpes and with no explanation where the story is going to or if it even has a goal.
Let's be honest, even at the end you get kinda info dumped and things happen where you ask yourself "WHY?!"
I would like to explain it further buw I don't want to spoil anything in case you still want to watch it.
But even that would be okay, IF the characters would be compelling so that you want them to succeed, and yeah, some characters are good written so that you care for them, but those are exceptions. Tbh, even the lady side character with the big boobs was more interesting than the Male MC you get introduced to since he has the charisma of a box bread. And having a lot of characters with really a lot of side characters is no problem as long as they get fleshed out like in Tensura or Mirai Nikki - but unfortunately that's not the case here.
However, what upsets me the most, is the fact that some of the side characters I really cared for (since they were actually good written) just get killed in the end... but than in the final minutes you get new characters thrown in in a way which is... well, just uninteresting.
All in all, I really tried to get myself into this Anime but except for some few scenes I couldn't enjoy it. Just a waste of time. Hell, even Isekai de Cheat Skill... Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta was better balanced and more compelling than Under Ninja and it kinda hurts me to admit that.
So, if you have no expectations whatsoever and just want to see an Anime, go for it - But if you want to see a good Anime with Ninja in it, better watch Naruro or... damn, even Senran Kagura which is 90% Fan Service would be a better choice.

Well, like this Anime doesn't know what it wants to be, I don't know how to start this Review, so let's just dig in.
To put it simple: If you don't think about it, this Anime is really good... if you don't think about it.
On the one hand, it's kinda an unique mix between a typical Isekai, where the MC gets kinda OP in no time (and gets all the girls) and a school Slice of Life with Super Powers (where the MC gets all the girls). On the other hand, you have to throw away any sense of logic and just accept every kind of
...
bullshit to fully enjoy this Anime. Why? Cause the main problem of that Anime is, that it doesn't know where to stop - lika a child accidentely breaks its toy.
For example (MAYBE A MINOR SPOILER, I'M NOT SURE):
I can buy it, that when a building where the MC with his friends is in, begins to burn because of an accident. I can also buy, that he tries to save two of them, since he has the strength and abilities to do it. What I cannot buy is that when the buildung crushes and he could save the friends, so that those three are totally fine, NO ONE does wondering, how they could survive this or adress it for like 2 seconds and then act as if it never happened! - AND THOSE THINGS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES!
If you don't have a problem with those things, or the fact, that they way to often focusing on how good the MC looks (after his change in ep 1), you can enjoy the show.
If you treat it as a guilty pleasure and stop caring (so did I), you'll also like this Anime.
However, if you're expecting a well written story and are a friend of logic and logical behaviour, you better skip this one and looking for sth different.
All in all, you'll be absolutely satisfied... if you don't think about it.

Oh Lord, where do I even start...
I really loved the first season of Overlord. Sure, the first two episodes were kinda boring (at least if you watched a lot of Isekai), but after that it had a good progression. When the Overlord did something it made sense since he didn't know anything about that world and if there is sth threatening.
But than the second and the third season happened, and boy, did it fell...
We continued to got to know a whole new bunch of side characters, just so that at least 75% of them will killed off later or will never have any weight to
...
the story again. Basically Overlord and his companions 1-hitted everyone else and nearly every conversation between them are misunderstandings where OL plays along and everyone praises him for being that smart and so on... No threats, bad graphic, bad sound, and OL hisself was just... well, words can't describe, how bad he was (at least when I write in English).
In other words, I really had hopes for this season, but well.. since episode 7 I just called this Anime the weekly disappointment. OL and his crew are still the strongest and if there is sth that COULD become an interesting set-up or enemy, turns out OL planned it all along. I really just watched it, cause I hoped it becomes better again like the first season, or at least to see OL get either smashed by Albeddo or destroyed by anyone. But instead it feels like you are watching a show/movie like the 100th time, so there is no tension, cause you already know, there won't be any troubles and OL will get everything he wants, even though his motivation is either unclear or doesn't make any sense at all - especially since his charater isn't constant (in a bad way).
If you don't care about all that and just want to see OL succed in everything, you will have your fun. If you hope it will be good again like season 1... maybe next time. If I wouldn't like two or three of the characters and wouldn't have some sympathy left from season 1, I would give this show a 4 instead of 6.
PS: Yeah, Maybe the LN would be better and help me to understand some of OLs motives better, but when you need to read the LN to do so, it's a kinda bad Anime.

Well... to put it simply, it's a mix between "uuurgh!", "hm..." and "what the hell?!"
I don't know the game series, but I guess there the characters had at least a bit of a mysterious or interesting feeling. But here every character so far is so much simplifield, it's hard to take the plot serious. There is no tension like "Did he/sehe tell the truth?" or "Wow! Didn't saw that comig!" Instead everything is just so obvious and it's like the show doesn't even want you to think about the cases.
On top of that, most of the characters so far behave like cartoonish morons, unable to
...
see any contradiction until someone says so.
Also,if you know at least a little bit about lawsuits, you can already see mistakes for example how evidences are used, especially when they are new, or the ludicrous arguments used sometimes. And, oh, did I tell you about the outlandish behaviour of the most of the characters so far?
To keep it short, if you're interested in at least somehow realistic lawsuits inside anime, better watch some episodes of Detective Conan. But if you're not interested in characters you can take serious or if it doesn't bother you that everything is obvious, this anime is at least a guilty pleasure.

This review is split into two parts: above all and especially for the german dub.
Above all:
Story:
Well, I guess this film isn't new to anyone, so I wont talk about the story in particular. However, what disturbed me right from the start was the fact, that Mewtwos origin at the beginning was cutted down to nearly nothing - all the parts where he thinks about hisself and also the part with the girl and the direct motivation from the scientists... gone. Except from that there isn't really any change.
CGI/Graphic:
Well, the Pokémon look mostly good or at least okay, the humans however... to be honest, it reminded
...
me on some 3D/CG-Hentai character models - and not the really good ones.
Music:
Well... it's there...
Over all:
Unfortunately a soulless remake, which can't reach the original. Yeah, the attacks look cooler and there are some extra scenes but those aren't that much of an improvement. Especially the music in the original was WAY better and emotional. If you want to see it and feel nostalgic, go ahead. Otherwise, I guess, you wont be satisfield.
About the german dub:
At least they some times used the same voices like back than, for example Misty and Rocko. Other voices like the scientist or Ash and especially Metwo don't really fit. Also, some times it feels like they may have changed the things, some characters said in the original, even though the text is mostly the same like back than. Unfortunately, I couldn't get/find the japanese dub, but hey: In der Not frisst der Teufel Fliegen.
