Because her conflict wasn't well handled and the way the monologues progress from admiration to sheer hatred was inconsistent and unrealistic.

For example, in one episode Shinji and Asuka learn how to sync their movements and fight an angel together. This episode was an excellent example of good character chemistry and quality screen time (if my memory doesn't fail me, she even kisses him in the next couple of episodes).

Instead of being direct and talking with Shinji about their feelings (which Asuka is perfectly capable of doing and has done earlier on in the show, even attacking Shinji because of it) she withdraws to herself, contradicting all of the character development she had before just so that the show reaches a point.

Eva doesn't do this once or twice, this happens all the time in the second half.

The manga imho does a much better job of presenting the characters and develops them better, you can give that a read if you want to see my point.

Hey, good review. Keep it up. I can't believe how vitriolic and moronic type moon fans are. They don't seem to realize that they're thought-provoking visual novel adaptation is actually an eroge. There's nothing that can be extrapolated from the show that resembles anything remotely intellectually engaging.

You did a good job analysing the show, I do think you missed one or two things such as the terribly slow pacing the show has and also how some scenes just don't make sense without knowledge that was provided in the source material (at least I assume that it was).

Anyway good review, and can I just commend you on your great taste in anime in general.

Haha butthurt haters who can't come up with anything to say so they stick to meaningless words and overused phrases to criticize a series. The review is hilarious, I swear it seems like you were watching the back of your screen instead of the actual show with how misinformed it is.
The comments are even worse. Talk about the classic, "everyone likes it, so i'ma hate it because i want to be different," approach.
I'll give you guys a 1/10 for how hard you failed at it.

The main reason it's getting so overhyped is because most of the fans have already read the VN & know what to expect. Ur watching this series completely wrong. Ur supposed to watch/read FSN first b4 going through FZ. That's why there's so much info & details of the holy grail war in FSN. FZ doesn't even bother explaining most of the things & assume the audience already have full knowledge of FSN.

If you ask me you guys need more arguments than buzzwords and ignorance.
