*THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS*
For the purposes of this review it is crucial that I spoil the events of the first chapter to fully explain the manga that I have currently read (12 chapters are translated and have read as of the making of this review) along with some speculation about it’s possible implications. I believe this is necessary due to the fact that these events frame the groundwork in which the rest of the story is based on.

Art
The art style of this series is basic and nothing exactly noteworthy that I have gathered while reading this. However this in itself isn’t necessary a bad thing, ... for what this story does the art style does it’s job well to tell the story and the panels clearly transition to one scene to another. The characters designs however aren’t as well done as the panels or art style. The characters don’t really match, some have very plain designs while others look pretty cartoonish and don’t match the story. Overall I find the art to be presentable but nothing amazing.

Character
Clearly the worst part of the story, however at the same time I can’t really blame the story for this as this is the clear result of what the show wants. *spoilers* due to the fact that the main character is sent to kill all these talented one by one it in some way requires that these characters lack any sort of development and just have a basic characterization and a simple explanation of their powers and nothing else. This is clearly demonstrated in the people she has killed thus far in the story, they all barely had any kind of development and only basic characterization before ultimately being killed. As I say that however there is possible potential for developed characters in this story with 3 people in particular Nana, the healer girl and the immortal guy (sorry can’t bother to remember their names). The immortal guy and nana in particular have a wonder dynamic that they can play off each other in future chapters to build their characters and goals. Of course that is pure speculation on my part but the possibility is still there, although I personally doubt this would happen and am not gonna raise the score based on my own speculation. Also Nanas origin is also lacking and I would like to see this elaborated in the future.

Story
*spoilers*
The story based on the synopsis presented itself as a potential battle shounen to fight these “enemies of humanity” with the Mc who has no particular talent except their intelligence. This is all a bait and switch as the beginning you are lead to believe that nanao is the Mc and he is gonna unite the talented and save the world only for nana to reveal that the enemies of humanity are the talented themselves and kill nanao. The story then shifts to nana to kill off the talented one by one on this isolated island to save humanity according to her. Personally I am not a fan of these bait and switches for several reasons but one is that these type of stories make it hard to recommend because the twist is the only noteworthy part of the story and it defeats the purpose of a recommendation if you spoil it (I realize the irony of spoiling this twist in a review but this has a point). This had to be done to explain the good point and the bad of this twist. The good thing is that the story used this twist for worldbuilding and gave further context to what this island is there for and the history of this world. All of that I view as the highlight of this manga and wish it builds on it some more although I personally doubt it. *speculation* The worldbuilding also kinda leads to more potential twist in the story such as the fact nana gets text with information of her targets including potential kill count, to me this number seems a bit arbitrary and the way they come up with that number is never explained so far. It’s possible to use this as a way to further build on the world and perhaps explain a bit more about the threat these “enemies of humanity” are, but this is speculation. One negative is The way how she kills her targets is not as creative as I would like and even within chapter 12 it seems as though she is already just using the same tactics without much difference although this can easily be changed later but the signs are already showing. Overall the story as it is now is terrible and not a fan of it, however if they focus on the worldbuilding a bit more and more creative kills this could still be salvageable.

Enjoyment
Nothing really to say here. I enjoy stories that involve schlock killing (such as with basarac senki and girl who ate death) and Rube Goldberg methods of killing people, but I never find them particularly good so I admit I do have a bias there. Personally I would enjoy it more with more worldbuilding and character development but as it is now it’s simply schlock.

Overall
I would only recommend reading chapter one for people to read to see if they like where the story isn’t going because chapter one is a good indicator for the rest of the story. As it is now it isn’t good and I would go as far as to say it’s terrible but as I have mentioned several times now there are a couple of things in this manga that in the future could prove to be worth it, although I severely doubt it would actually go the route I want and remain shlock. However I would continue reading this and update this if anything in particular has changed

Sentou Hakai Gakuen Dangerous (Manga) add

I have very mixed feelings about this manga. This manga is incredibly stupid in every single way to the point it'll make you think it's a parody or something, however to me it never actually gave the impression that it was trying to be a parody. In all honesty it gave me the impression that it was trying to be a somewhat serious story but failed miserably at it. Do to this I have a very hard time trying to figure out what exactly this show is trying to be? If it's trying to be serious, it failed miserably to a laughable extent. If it ... actually was trying to be a parody, then it still failed miserably by not making it clear what it was trying to be. It's kinda like Big Order in that aspect. This manga has all the potential of being a story that is so bad it's good exactly for that reason. If you liked those types of shows than I would recommend this manga, it's has a lot of trash humor, gore, sex, super powers and fights all done in the most ridiculous way imaginable making for an entertaining but very trashy read.

The story is practically nonexistent. As stated earlier it failed at displaying to the reader exactly what it was trying to be in the first couple of chapters as the more ridiculous stuff that happens occur a couple of chapters in the story. The story also tends to jump around a lot leading to a very confusing mess of what the hell is fucking happening. That and the fact that none of this really makes any sense kinda lend itself to the idea that it's a parody of some sort, this honestly just wasn't enough to convince me of that to be honest. The basis of this story is just a battle School type anime kinda like Kill La Kill but with more gore, general perversion, and overall stupidity which is kinda sad in a way that it is indeed more stupid in every category than Kill La Kill but at least that show made it clear from the beginning what it was.

Art is pretty standard for a battle shounen type manga. This works pretty well for this manga as there are a lot of fights. There are a few specific panels that are actually above standard in quality but I could count that in one hand. The character designs are also pretty standard although I'll give special credit to the head of the yankee group that is from one of two major factions. His design is absurd with a noticeable difference in art style from any other character. This made him stand out very well and kinda matched the whole idea the manga was trying to go with him. Probably the best part of the art at least to me is specifically the panels of some of the more ridiculous elements of this manga and showing them to my friends. Taken out of context or even with context these panels are hilarious and I would recommend you to at least try to do the same if you plan to read this.

Characters are a hot mess. Basically taken from the Bleach school of thought as in to introduce as many characters with cool powers as possible to distract from the fact that none of these characters develop. You'll only like one or two characters at most if your lucky and most of them are only there for a few chapters before they are killed off. You'll usually be more interested in the powers than the characters themselves sorry to say. Most of the time the characters are introduced to then use their powers and then die a couple of panels after. All characters are pretty expendable and it'll never shy away from the gore so if you are that type of person this might be your cup of tea. Some of the more notable characters in the show don't really get development either, like with one character most of her development was skipped after the fact and we only get small glimpses at this.

Perhaps you have a higher tolerance for this type of shit so you may like this type of show dispite it really not being clear on what it's trying to be if you like really bad shows, perverted and gore shows and older fighting school anime or all at the same time. This wasn't for me but I still find reading it at least being a story of memes and lolz.

Yu☆Gi☆Oh! (Anime) add

Watch this show only for the novelty of it being the OG series for Yugioh. I wouldn't recommend this show for someone who isn't already a fan of Yugioh Duel Monsters because in all honesty if you are looking for a great story or great characters or amazing art and sound this isn't the show for you. I would recommend this show for anyone who likes Yugioh Duel monsters to basically see it all started and the inspiration for some of the fights in duel monsters such as the first duel with kaiba to even the final arc of the show. This show is worthwhile ... for that reason alone. I would also probably someone who likes older 90s shounen as there is a lot of comparisons to be made with the older shounen and this show with some of the battles and the tropes having the feel of older shounen.

The story is mostly episodic with a villain of the week type of scenario however some of the battles take more than one episode to finish such as the last two arcs. For the most part this works in the shows favor as it allows characters to appear with there own wacky motive to then be mind crushed by yami yugi by the end of the episode in a unique take on a game (note: not just card games like in duel monsters). These games can range from Dungeons and Dragon irl to laser tag to even a couple of puzzle games. This is honestly the best part of the show, the games are very creative with a neat rule set, and the solution to these yami games are always as inventive as the games themselves so these battles are the highlight of the show and usually the episode as well. However what comes after is kinda disappointing, nothing. We usually don't get any kind of check to what happens to most of these characters after losing a yami game save for one or two people and even then it's pretty minor. I really didn't like this part of the show because it's a huge unexplored aspect of the show that could have made the whole victory feel more important or at least more helpful like one of gen characters who we actually do see after she losses still acts pretty much the same as before but this time is kinda psychologically forced (note: I don't think the show ever elaborated on the fact of it being an illusion or real, which also could have been an interesting aspect to explore) to act a certain way. The story other than that is otherwise pretty generic with a lot of elements taken from older shounen like the whole 4 heavenly deva of high school trope that we hear about but never actually seen aside from kill la kill and this show apparently. While at times people tend to say that this show is darker than Duel Monsters I have to respectfully disagree and put forth the notion that most of the time this show is even more childish than Duel Monsters in terms of well everything actually. I would rate this show a 5 in the story category but I feel the unexplored aspects of the show kinda hinder this show to be able to have this score. While it can be a slog to watch 27 episodes of the same formula of villain being a villain, yugi challenges the villain to a game, wins and mindcrush repeat but I feel the uniqueness of the games kinda help make them less of a slog to go through even though it took me more than 2 months to finish this show so....

Art is single handily the worst aspect of this show. It looks bad even by standards of the time period it came out in. It looks bad even by the standard of shows made 20 years before this one and that is only a slight exaggeration. The colors used in the show quite honestly look like something I could have drawn in with crayons or something. Art design is otherwise generic and lackluster aside from the choice of coloring (such as kaibas hair) I previously mentioned. Character design is actually pretty decent and while I have not read the original manga this show is based on it looks pretty similar at a cursory glance but I could be wrong though. This is not a show you'll watch for the pretty colors ever let's just put it that way so I'm under no disillusion that this show deserves anything less than a two as everything about the shows art is below average and downright dreadful.

Sound is also not really that good to be very honest. The soundtrack tends to repeat the same 4 songs throughout the show and the only one I actually liked was the yami yugi theme. That song matched the overall feel the show was trying to go for and is one of those songs that will get you hyped but even then it's not really a song I'll listen on repeat like Jojo or anything like that. Rest of the songs do set the mood rather well but that probably has something to do with the fact the only 3 moods you really need to set in this show is this villain is villainous, school life and get hyped yami yugi is here. While the sound is not as bad as the art it's still pretty bad with repetition of the soundtrack which really kills the mood and one decent song that I liked.

Characters are their own bag of mess. Most are relegated to the villain of the week type characters I already mentioned which basically means they are very one note and offer no reason for them being major grade A dicks all the time like for a lot of these villains I'm stuck wondering how are these people having a job like the doctor in one of the episodes. Main cast isn't any better tbh for some reason there is a character that isn't in Duel Monsters except she really is less relevant to the plot than tea (or anzu if you prefer). She and Honda (Tristan) were honestly really annoying characters throughout the entire series. They were completely unlikable with Miho and her overall shallow mindset and Honda trying to get in her pants and miho completely ignoring him. This joke got old even before it happened! That's how bad it is and it's repeated throughout the entire show. Rest of the main characters tend to act as they do in Duel Monsters, with only joey getting some minor development. So overall the characters are not the best.

As much as I've been harping on the show so far I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. As I've said previously you won't like the show if you didn't like Duel Monsters and luckily I really like Duel Monsters. It's nice to see the characters I've enjoyed in a different light (except Honda he cucked and sucked this version) and it's nice to see a different interpretation of the yami games. The games were always a fun watch minus like one that I felt the answer came a bit too easily but other than that it's a very fun watch. While I did enjoy the show a lot I still think this is an overall bad show that failed in a lot of crucial aspects whether it be the plot, characters, art and lackluster sound that I honestly wish were done as bad as what happened.
