When I heard about the spin-off of Barakamon about Handa-sensei's high school career, I thought it sounded really lame and put off watching it for quite a while.

I thought that in the second season Kuronuma and Kazehaya would be dating early on and that the episodes would be about their relationship together. When I realized that it was going to be twelve episodes of them doing nothing, it was pretty frustrating. In the first season, I liked all of the characters (especially the protagonist Kuronuma Sawako) because I found them all funny and enjoyable.
