Anime/manga compatibility bars work based off the overall mean score, similar items read/watched and the percentage of which two individuals have rated the items they've seen. So, for example, if I had say just 5 series rated, let's give a 6, 7, 3, 10 and a 9, and you also rated 5 items, a 5 though for the first one causing a 1 rating difference, 7, 3, 9 and a 7, our compatibility would most likely be anywhere from 70-80% based off the number of items rated and in terms of how far apart each rating is for those same items. And of course how many series we have in common also factors in to it.
