I find most reviews on this site to be too long, and I personally don't have time to write my own detailed reviews, so I like to succinctly summarize my own thoughts on what I watch on my list in the tags section.
I feel very comfortable with my average score of 7, which strikes me as the ideal mean score, given how MAL classifies this number as equating to "Good." If you like anime in general, then after figuring out your personal tastes, the average show you watch should be "good," I believe. What's the point in spending your free time watching the medium if you don't find most of what you watch enjoyable? Conversely, if every series is graded a 9 or a 10, it diminishes those series that are truly superior. Therefore, a 7 is a proper, naturally occurring average for an anime fan with an extended watch list and remotely developed grading sense.
While I've had to slow down in recent years (early in my watching days I could get through roughly a half dozen unique series in a week's time), I still enjoy taking time to watch new things. At the moment I'm mostly focused on seasonal anime, but I have a lengthy backlog of shows to still watch, which I'll gradually tackle over time.
I am now hoping to steadily compile a manga list. I doubt I'll go through and rate them, but it will be nice to have a reading history established.
