The first serialized work of the fledgling mangaka Inoya Kotoba, Runway de Waratte (Smile at the Runway) is a captivating work that narrates the encounter between Fujito Chiyuki, a girl who aspires to become a supermodel in spite of her detrimental stature, and Tsumura Ikuto, an unassuming boy with a hidden attachment to making clothes. As each person finds encouragement in the other to continue pursuit of their ambitions, each confronts people who offer both ominous discouragements and impelling guidance. Regardless of whether their efforts brings them closer or further away from their dreams, the challenges that the characters took upon themselves are undoubtedly humanizing read more

"We live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths; in feelings, not in figures on a dial. We should count time by heart throbs. He most lives who thinks most, feels the noblest, acts the best." - Aristotle.

A manga adaptation of a novel of the same name, Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai is a story that examines the fragile but purposeful nature of human life through recounting the unlikely relationship between a dying girl and a hollow boy. Ironically with the deterioriation of one person's health another was brought to life from the shell of a human he once was. Whether the encounter of read more

The manga (and it's corresponding LN which I have not yet read) is based upon a fantasy world where your average over-powered, shaggy-headed, and hopelessly single demon-slaying hero falls into depravity at the hands of a succ- I mean, picks up a cute little demon girl and attempts to raise her as a daughter.

I am in no way a stranger to fantasy and loli's; even so the charm of this manga presents read more

Gosick (Anime) add (All reviews)
A work of art doesn't need to be a masterpiece to be beautiful, which is why I won't bother to call Gosick "the best ever", "anime of the year", or even "underrated", but merely say that this show touches my heart.

Basing its story on the aristocratic society of a fictional European country of Sauville, Gosick tells the story of an unlikely romance between a girl shackled by the shady circumstances of her birth and boy coming from a drastically different culture, equally torn between his familial values and personal ambitions.

What truly makes Gosick an unforgettable experience is mainly attributed to two aspects of the read more

Gintama (Anime) add (All reviews)
So many anime series these days try to hard to cater to the people's tastes and try too hard to meet their expectations, but not this one. Gintama is a series that influences you, and not the other way around.

Say you raise a baby. The child is ugly, is annoying, is foolish. Why in the world would anyone want to put up with such a monstrosity for twenty years of their lives? Why, indeed. But it's simply that you do - you love the baby despite it being ugly, you love the baby despite it being annoying, you love the baby despite it being ridiculous. read more
