I'm an anime newbie who finds it hard to hate any anime. Although I have a major pet peeves for hate group. I mean, seriously people: If you can't say anything nice, DON'T SAY IT AT ALL!!!
Soul Eater is my all-time favorite manga/anime, with Maka Albarn being my all-time favorite character and SoulXMaka as my all-time favorite pairing (in the anime universe, anyway. If you add video games, then it's a different story...). Why do I love it so much? It was my gateway anime, one that I instantly fell in love with because of the concept, humor, characters, universe, creativity, story, action, and anything you can really think of (although the ending is a bit of a disappointment...). I absolutely loved the manga, and I am crossing my fingers for a second season!
My favorite genre is currently action/adventure Shounen. Even though I am a female, most Shoujo doesn't really spike my interest (although, I'll admit, Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club were really good).
I'm also a feminist and I like the mass majority of female characters, especially if they're a protagonist of a shounen manga. So if you want to know who my favorite character of a series is, it's most like the strongest female protagonist (with a few exceptions, like Fullmetal Alchemist). People who call ANY female characters "weak" (like Sakura from Naruto or Orihime from Bleach) are just sexist and should shut up.
I usually watched anime dubbed because I much rather enjoy the action then to be reading the bottom of the screen, but there are a few I watch subbed.
