both of these use the same dialog based format of story telling, this means they both use words more than visulals like other anime tend to do. Because of this they both present abstract visuals that dont inflict anything on the story but are there to bring forth the speech and make it more interseting, this is proberly due to the fact that they are both animated by shaft studio. over all if you like one you will like the other.
