I don't really remember when I started watching anime. My Dad was a fan back in the fansubinthegarage or raw VHS days and so I got some exposed pretty young. However, to me it was just cartoons like anything else.

I consider my formal induction into the fandom to be when I watched GUYVER (age...10 maybe?) and realized "this is NOT like American animation". I got hooked and have been a crazy fan of anime/manga ever since. I don't really have genre preferences too much...I will watch about anything except straight out hentai.

In college, I was the VP and later Prez of the local anime club. That was a load of fun and not all at the same time. XD Awesome to meet all those people, not awesome to deal with the all the bureaucratic hoops.

So random story cause I saw Tutu on your favorites up there and I felt like sharing... I showed that to my 8 and 9 year old sisters (who practically have ADD when it comes to watching any tv shows) and they absolutely loved it. I got the older one interested in Last Exile too, cause she likes Dio.

anime6 doesn't need anything, crunchyroll needs an account but its free and takes a whole 2 minutes to do. for veoh, I don't think you have to make an account but you do need to DL their player. but its pretty good, theres lots of stuff other then anime on there too like tv series and such.

eewww, anime on youtube? there much, much better sites for watching anime. try veoh, crunchyroll or anime6 to name a few.

well then becomes a question of whats worth watching or not. now I just usually watch the first few episodes and decide it as a hit or miss.

it was proably the eye patch and the scar and the hair... its like the whole Clark Kent/Superman and the glasses thing.
