Yeeeaaah, season 2 was all about Karuta and it was awesome, and I found that no part was too fast or too slow. They moved along the story perfectly. It focused on the main cast of Chihaya, Taichi, Arata and Shinobu just enough to keep everyone happy. You're right, you could definitely sense the drama of the love triangle (if not more sides) is going to get a lot more attention next season. <3

Hahaha, beauty goes a long long way in the world. It always has because for the most part it's the one thing you can't buy (putting aside plastic surgery and whatnot which is rubbish anyway). And it's true that if the person has some knowledge that they're beautiful certain parts of their brain shut off and the ego takes up more room in the psyche... or something like that! LOL

I've always got lots of recommendations for you if you ever want them. Anime and movies, primarily but hey, maybe music too! I've always tried to enjoy a variety of different types of music. In all honesty, it's my lifeblood.

I would say Del Toro is always ambitiously taking on projects and the majority of the time he does a good job of making his work grandiose yet accessible. I'm not a huge fan of his or anything but I admire his work.

I think that if you keep jotting down material about your characters then I believe at some point a singular focus will reveal itself. Then I think you'll be able to compile stuff into one coherent story that goes in the direction you want it to. Of course, you can always whittle stuff down and edit things later, but I truly think that the more stuff you have the more developed your world will be and the bigger payoff it will have later! There's a case to be made for having too many characters or too many directions but when you're just brainstorming I don't think it's a bad situation to be in at all. Now if you are facing some sort of deadline then you'd probably have to limit your time and cut some things out but if you're initially fleshing out your story then I think it's good to have a lot of things to ponder instead of just a few things that might get stale quickly.

I don't know if that made any sense or is relevant to what you're working on but there ya go! XD

I just finished a series called Hyouge Mono and now I'm working my way through the classic Rose of Versailles. ( ̄ー ̄)

Well that's wrong because spending time immersing yourself in music will make you smarter and give you more inspiration for other things. I fucking guarantee it. Haha, she does love books. She's the older, stately sister. lol I remember seeing stuff about the Les Mis anime but never felt compelled to watch any of it. xD

I knew you would! It is a great premise. I wish they would do more anthology type anime. I don't know if you've heard of Genius Party but it's got a lot of different people working on different stories and it's supposed to be amazing. IKR!? It's amazing how watching some animated show made in Japan like Aoi Bungaku can be so goddamn rewarding. It's like a window into another world! ^_^

HBO has rarely taken a bad step. They consistently produce some of the best shows ever made. From what I keep reading, it seems like they're doing a good job of getting the right people attached to it and making it as faithful to the original source as possible.

I assume you're flipping your shit over Free, no? lol

Yeah, I'm on CR much (probalby too much) more than MAL so don't hesitate. I'm totally ready to read through your story and help you out! It reminds me of Bakuman, you just gotta set realistic goals for yourself. Otherwise you might turn into your own worst enemy.

Ohh, the show is so good. So damn good. Realistic yet artistic. Profound yet touching. Not much more you can ask for in a great anime. We can talk more about it after you finish it all. <3

Yeah, my sister's a big fan of the book and I let her borrow it and I don't think she was as impressed as I was by it. Then I let my other sister borrow Haibane Renmei and I think she's lost it. T_T Monster is amazing. You know they're trying to make an adaptation of it for HBO right? It has so much fucking potential. *squeals* Ergo Proxy is one of my favorites. It's got its flaws but I love its vision and atmosphere. Not many anime compare to it.

Oh my, it's good. You're gonna love every second of it. I love the three main characters so damn much but Arata is too goddamn cool for school. (*´▽`*)

I could be wrong but you should totally check out Flowers of Evil if you haven't yet. I love it that freaking anime so much. I even bought the soundtrack! xD

Oho~ You shame me not Cobalt for I also read sheet music and play the piano. Though I do not play it in a technical style at all. Merely recreational. I learned music technically for the clarinet and voice. Music was a big part of my academic career. <3

Ciao
