i get what you're saying about demon slayer, but i still dont like the fact that before characters die or might die in certain anime, they reveal their fucked up past. id rather have their sad past revealed way before they die and it wouldve had a little more impact. still, what you said makes sense. i agree that the edgelord thing is good in comedy, (if used right) can be very good. but if they they try to do that in shounen, then most of the time it comes off as cringe. damn, thats really the only good moment in girls bravo? bruh. have you watched magical girl site? that shit is overloaded with edginess, but still enjoyable.

you have the same gripes i have with shows/movies and i can see your dislike in attack on titan. funny part is that when villains are about to die in demon slayer, they have their sad life story, after that they just fuckin kick the bucket. infinite stratos 2 is literally beating the mc for no good reason and misunderstanding the situation is common place i guess. filler is obviously annoying in one piece, naruto, bleach, etc. i didnt really mind the narrator in hxh, but for some reason the narrator in the anime, the irregular at magic high school annoys me and makes many fight scenes very boring. the screaming in any anime got annoying after a while and gets me pissed off every time any mc scream. i didnt like when kirito had his ptsd edgelord moment because it was so cringe. i dont mind edginess in anime, just dont overexaggerate it and ruin it. i dont mind fanservice, but i like it when its tame. deus ex machina annoys me in code gayass, but not death note. maybe thats a bit hypocritical. i dont rewatch bad anime either because it hurts my soul, but good anime cleanses the soul. you know, bad anime truly makes me appreciate the really great ones. by the way, that banana scene from girls bravo was funny and ive only seen that clip.

i never watched anime in middle school due to fact that i was hanging out with my cousin while playing a fuck ton of video games. middle school was garbage and moving on to high school, i realized how lonely i truly was. i can say that 9th grade was the time where ive made realizations and started watching a fuck ton of anime i loved. i sadly never had people to talk about those things to.

my friends havent even heard about 90% of the anime i have on my list. its hard to start a discussion about anime when they have only heard about sao, bleach, naruto, one piece, black clover, etc. there was only one friend and teacher that knows about the obscure anime and dark souls.

a good way to balance out your taste in anime is to rewatch some stuff that you find good and some you find to bad. what got me rating lower nowadays is because i ran into a great ass anime and now i think that certain shows are pure garbage and now beneath it. its pretty hard for me to balance out my taste because i change my ratings a lot due to the fact that ive realized a massive flaw within something i liked. i didnt think my take was good, but ill roll with it. what are your least favorite things in movies/shows? like cliches, troupes, archetypes, melodrama, same stuff every time, stuff that is "subversive", etc.

back then, i wanted to watch trigun, cowboy bebop, and blue submarine no.6 fully, but i never could because i was still a little shit that had to go to bed a 9. it was a struggle to find and watch good ass anime youve watched on toonami. now that most of these long running anime are easy to access, you can find the episodes that are filler and skip those.
Psychotomimetic Jun 2, 9:35 AM
absolutely agreed. havent got to that much filler yet in one piece, but I hope it isnt too shit. imagine being a giant one piece, bleach, and naruto fan and for 12 weeks straight, you are waiting for the filler to end, wanting to get back into the main plot just to have another shitty filler episode.
Psychotomimetic Jun 1, 6:50 AM
bleach filler was a whole chore to watch. it felt like 8 hours before i completed it because it was so fuckin boring. right before ichigo was going to fight ulquiorra, a whole filler arc comes out of nowhere. just like when ichigo was fighting grimmjow.

tbh the power arc in shippuden was okay I guess. have fun binging my guy
Psychotomimetic May 31, 10:29 PM
yeah, there is a lot of naruto filler just like bleach and since im a faggot, i just watch every single episode.

Is it me or are we both pushing ourselves to finish Naruto Shippuden?

Yeah you're right, I could never sit through 800 episodes of mostly filler. Also I've heard ok things about Black Clover. Haven't watched it though.
MrHoodie Jan 18, 11:24 AM
I don't think I have enough Patience to sit there all of Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden like you. You sure are a trooper lol.
MrHoodie Oct 21, 2019 3:04 AM
lol you right.

You're right, CGI doesn't hold up that well. But I've seen worse. If you ever get the chance I think you should re-watch it. It's a personal fav of mine.
MrHoodie Oct 20, 2019 2:17 PM
I think I've found another horrible anime movie for you to watch. You though X/199 was bad? you haven't seen shit yet lol.https://myanimelist.net/anime/33820/Ao_Oni_The_Animation_Movie

You ever heard of an anime called Blue Submarine 6 (also known as Ao no 6-gou) before? It's a 4 part miniseries that aired on Toonami back in the early 2000s.
