I love coffee, music, foreign languages, yaoi, and bishounen. Not necessarily at the same time... I'm also an old broad, I realize this, and it's hard as hell to meet people my age that share the same interests so I suck it up and do my best to hang with the younger crowd. If anything I give great advice about growing up. Oh, and did I mention I love the pretty men? ..and the pretty men who also love pretty men? *grin*
So what else to put in this generous space... *thinks*

Time to nominate your favorite anime!
Rules are simple, nominate a single anime or second one that someone else has nominated.
You may nominate something you have nominated before, but not a previous winner.
Any finished anime series, movie, or finished OAV is eligible. Any anime series currently airing is not.
Please include a url link to the anime that you are nominating as occasionally the name is repeated, but the series are completely different (i.e. Macross).
This thread will remain open until 3 June 2012 and is located here.

I saw Takumi in your favorite characters list,
so I thought about asking you to join the club.
But it seems that your club invites is set in disable mode. T.T
If you have free time, drop by at the BOO Reira Club okay?
If you're interested, I'll be more than happy if you'll join. XD
I watched the first few episodes of Bokura ga Ita and liked it, but I got sidetracked and never made it further. I'll probably have to start all over at this point to have any idea of who's who though. But yeah, I'm planning to watch it sometime soon, whenever I get into the mood for some more romance/drama. I'm really odd about that... if I don't particularly feel like watching a show at present then I usually won't enjoy it, but when I am in the mood for a particular style or genre I'll devour anything in reach.
Asheville has a decent selection of Asian restaurants, but that's really just because it's a tourist town. There's an Asian grocery store or two around, but that's about it. So I'd really get a kick out of visiting Japantown. I've always loved their food and arts/crafts and such. I went to Chinatown in NYC, but it was pretty disappointing in a touristy sort of way. Just people selling cheap crap and pirated DVDs to anyone who passes by and restaurants no more exotic or impressive than our local fare. Which sounds about like Chinatown in SF as well.
I've always enjoyed programming, ever since high school. I used to spend my lunch breaks in the classroom coding and screwing around, like a huge geek =D I wish I could get some sort of a job in the field, but I'm not in a very good location for technical jobs and I need some credentials behind me before I think about pursuing that sort of work elsewhere. That Google datacenter isn't all that far from here - maybe an hour or two driving - and that'd be an awesome place to work. I'll have to check that out once I've got a degree.
The heart thing is quite cool. I'd never heard of it or the cows, but that seems like a really cool way to promote art and raise some money as well. Also... Japantown? I mean, I've heard of a big city having a Chinatown before (which I'd love to visit, though I wasn't particularly blown away by the one in NYC) or a Little Italy, but never a Japantown. That's awesome, and it's definitely secured SF a spot on my list of places to visit. I doubt I'd eat much sushi though unless I was staying for quite a while - I can find good sushi around here, but there are so many other Japanese dishes I'd love to try and can't find...
I'd definitely be down with working for Google. I've heard all sorts of weird things about the way they treat their employees, how they encourage creativity, etc. and it seems like it'd be an awesome (and one-of-a-kind) work environment.
I appreciate your valuation of my design skills =D I actually attempted to get a job in web design a fair few years ago, but most of the companies were just interested in subcontracting work which I was a little uncomfortable with at the time. Asheville is a fairly small town and mostly centered around tourism (the engineering/construction field being fairly lucrative since so many people want to move here, or at least it was) so there aren't a lot of technical jobs. I really ought to look around again though. I'm thinking I'd like to get into programming of some sort, but I need to finish college before I think too much about pursuing that.
It sucks, but so far I've been more glad of the break than worried about losing the job. I was kinda vacillating about whether to stick with the company (I liked the place a lot) or focus more on going back to school and starting a career doing something I enjoy, so that's one less decision I have to make as well. About that Google job, if I were you I'd seriously consider it. It isn't unheard of for companies to pay relocation costs, so you might luck out. Worst case, you wouldn't be out much provided you can afford to make it out there for an interview if need be.
Mmm, dinner. I'm gonna have to see about some of that myself here soon...
I've never been to SF myself, or really anywhere in the western part of the States for that matter. What'd you like so much about it?
Things are ok here... not much to report, really. Just getting ready to look for a job, as the economy made quick work of my last one. So yeah, I'm just fooling around and enjoying the time off.
