Lol lol!! happened with me too and in my case what's more phenomenal is that all these 10+ years I was (kinda) trying to learn Japanese but I didn't learn much xD
(seems that I tried all the wrong ways haha)
iNameless_ Dec 31, 2019 2:47 AM
Ok then :)
take your time and be at ease first of all then I'll be waiting ^^
w-
Wait a second!!!
Do you speak Japanese? how is your level?

(And now that I looked up what Akemashite omedetō-gozaimasu means I edit my reply, Happy new year to you too :) )
iNameless_ Dec 30, 2019 1:23 PM
Oh my god I'm sorry to know this :(
Actually when I and Taichi kun created the topic the purpose wasn't exactly to have conversations but to post our remarks, analysis or even quote interesting comments we find somewhere else, kind of a database or a reference to meaningful content/material about Arata..that's why we chose the title "Comments" instead of "Chat/conversation or anything of the sort...
but we would have always welcomed any conversation with any Arata fan too that's for sure because an interesting comment comes out of conversations usually!!!

My reply wouldn't have been as late if I were less busy sorry (and Taichi kun is on a trip right now too) so I apologize for what we made you feel :( really sorry :(

And my reply wasn't "very" late (I hope) but I made a stupid mistake, I have another club (secret one, kinda personal that I use even for things related to one of my duties ^^") I was working and answering in the same time and for some reason I posted my reply on the other topic (you probably got a notification that didn't take you anywhere right?)
That's how your reply stayed (I hope you don't mind if I keep the quote? or what do you want me to do about it? As for anywhere outside the quote your answer is totally gone)

I'll be very happy to know everything you think about Arata and Chihayafuru (as I said in my comment, Arata fans for me are special and the way they see things interests me to no end!!)
So please come again and post your ideas and thoughts however and whenever you want ... even if you don't get a quick reply, know that they invaded my head and I'm thinking about them and even though I'm afraid I & Taichi kun won't be any "less busy" in the near future :( BUT I'LL MAKE SURE TO TRY MY BEST TO COMMENT ON AND EXPLORE ANY INTERESTING IDEA ANYONE LEAVES IN THIS PLACE !!!!
(*Whispers* I don't know if what you did seems childish but I can't criticize as I myself know the feeling very well, I used to feel alienated somehow if a reply of mine was ignored for a while, maybe that's why I stopped writing comments that require answers in general, I started to write my point for the sake of making it known that's all ..if I got an answer I'll reply or else, my goal was reached, I leave things here and there and I make people aware and that's all...)

So for now what concerns me most now is the negative feelings we caused, I hope none of them is still in your heart by now, and please know that your comment is truly interesting and is actually wording what I personally had in mind, so thank you and sorry again..

Looking forward to know more of what you think...

It's better than it was before, although still not perfect. :-) But it's getting better anyway.

Yeah, online conversations that are not based on chats usually are difficult to maintain or to see regular responses from everyone. I also have some experience in it. ;p I've been discussing on many, many forums since I began using them as a form of communication on the Internet.

Cool that you liked Esenin's poems. Yup, they are very visual. Esenin's poetry belongs to imaginism after all. Imaginism was Russian avant-garde poetic movement that, long story short, proclaimed the postulates of imagery and intuitiveness in art. Basically, poems like that are written in a way that makes you visualise their contents as easy as it is possible.

I think yes. From several poems I checked out from the link you posted the translation is okay. Most of emotions characteristic for Sergey Esenin's poetry, along with its dynamism and rhyme arrangement, were preserved in a good way.

However nothing will beat his poetry in his mothertongue. I know that is obvious, but it's hard for non-Slavic langueges to grasp full power of Esenin's poetry (my favorite translation is the one into Polish languege), although this English version you posted presents very high quality and as I said before, it has most of elements that make Esenin's poems unique and beautiful.

Sorry for responding after several days, but I wanted to check more than one or two poems from the link and it took some time, lol. I'm sick at the moment, so I needed to rest more than usual as well, haha.

You can try out some poetry based on emotions or in describing reality as it is. I would recommend you Sergey Esenin, really great Russian poet. He wrote poems about love, vanishing, longing, sadness. His ability to describe reality around him and to sow emotions into his works is truly impressive and can hypnotise even decades after his tragic death.

About Chihayafuru, yup, I caught up with the latest episode. It was nice, but I'm more excited about the next one, or maybe I should say the next ones. I don't believe everything that is to happen is going to take place in just one episode, so at least two episodes are possible.
Adnash Nov 30, 2019 7:25 PM
Yeah, poems and symbolism are great, although I'm more into European poetry.

What I like in Chihayafuru the most are very likeable characters, its general concept (well made mix of different genres), and of course karuta. Before this anime I knew several memory-based card games, but I didn't hear about karuta.

This game looks cool and very challenging to master it, but I'm not willing to play it myself due to not knowing Japanese. I know there is an English version of it called "ogoola", but to be honest I don't have motivation to play it, haha. But I can watch with pleasure Mizusawa's team and their friends playing karuta. ;-)

Hehe, years ago I was like that as well, with that difference that I only updated my anime and manga lists, without commenting really. After some time I decided to discuss things I was watching or reading or interact with other fans. :D
