Very sorry for the late reply, finally back from my trip in Japan and here again in the Philippines. Took me a while to get adjusted, but here I am!

Those fan-theory topics definitely spark some serious comments, so I'm not a big fan when it comes to those too. Best to be a casual guy just like you right now :>

And yeah, Kuroko no Basket! One of my top five, it really hypes me up to play basketball. The only basketball anime I know are Slam Dunk and Kuroko no Basket though. Not sure if there are more high-quality basketball anime out there...

Threads like that are a good idea to get to know people more, I just noticed that. I'll try doing that sometime.

I've only browsed around the forums and made one thread so far, and so far, I have a really good impression of the MAL forums. People seem helpful, and many welcomed me warmly.

I still have to familiarize with the forums though; looks like I just have to keep exploring often.

Nah I just feel like people telling you that it was hard to get into the community is a bit of a stretch in every way. That's only the case if you never registered to any community. I remember its very much up to you which sub community you go into, I joined and really wanted to be part of one.. and thought I never will be but ended up joining them xD
