Oh no no no of course i like canon ones too. I am not travelling from fellow kaaskopland (yes, Dutch too) to Paris for y/con (or event-yaoi) on a 20 euro 7 hour bla bla car bus for nothing this Friday. :D I mean, I just screamed about TGCF for 32483329 words. I BREATH danmei and BL :D And as I said, I breath BL as oxygen - I have 20 danmei novels, over 80 physical BL manga on my shelf + like 150 digital eboobs ones and god knows how many i read for free. :D



I just mean - its nice that NON explicitly gay ones (aka most, by definition almost, sporting etc) animu have a ton of obviously shippable boys, since thats why we GET the fanart and fanfics. If it was all canon, we wouldn't get the 69 other ships people think up and the gazillion fics, or at least a lot less of them. and stuff like sports would have nothing XD



There is a TON of explicit BL these days - but it's nice they also shoehorn it into so much other things that don't lend itself to it. It doesn't mean less gay stuff, only more! Since a sports anime for example is NEVER going to be focused on romance - so if they didn't add all the fujinbait in, tjhere would be nothing xD



Given BL is like, literally the biggest (or at least biggest growing) genre in Japan for years now, every convention feels like a pride event, every artist stall sells 32482390 queer shit, there is an entire dedicated streaming service JUST for queer/BL content, etc, I don't know how much more explicitly queer content we could want at this point TBH lol. But all the bait only makes it even more - not less. :D But seriously, in the status quo, we get 0239420394823 queer stories a year - canon - entire streaming services (multiple) of them. I think the status quo is fine lmao. The bait is just a nice bonus to be able to make everything ELSE gay too :D



Plus, without the bait, we wouldn't have 5 gazillion screaming fangirls, and that would make me sad, because 85% of my friends are fujos. :D Fudanshi life XD If the girls stopped making gay stufff, I'd be screwed majorly - I HATE BARA. XD



I just wish yaycon came back so I wouldn't have to go to Fr*nce for a BL convention. I happily go to Budapest 4 times a year for my favorite anime convention (IT HAS A FREE HUG LINE!!),I should get a stamp card for Eindhoven <-> Budapest at this point, or build an Igloo at the airport, I go to atsusacon every year, germany every year, England most years, but France.... oh well. FOR YAOI! :D

I actually love when sports anime make the cute boys shippable lol, it leads to all the cute and/or delicious fanart, fanfics, ships, etc :D

And shipping all the cute anime boys and reading hot doujins is what I like about them (I hate sports. :D)

So I am happy they bait so much, because it leads to all the fun fan things and art and fics and shipping to have fun with! :D If it was all canon, that would happen less, so it'd be less fun for me xD
