Sengoku Musou

Both shows tend to go quite deep in the politics and war with quite lengthy explaining of the strategy used. Main difference is that Madan no Ou to Vanadis is harem/fantasy action, while Sengoku Musou is a historical fantasy action. On the bad side - both shows have quite mediocre animation and visuals, with characters going off-model pretty often. Sengoku Musou is a little better on this direction, though (no weird dancing from the soldiers has been spotted and there's less slide-shows).

Both are adaptation of a popular hack'n'slash games about Sengoku Period. Both have Sanada Yukimura as a one of the main characters. Although Sengoku Musou is a bit more close to the history.

Nobunaga no Yabou: Rinne Tenshou
add

Both manga have Nobunaga, his conquest and time-travel as the main focus. The main difference, however is that a real Nobunaga (who also happened to be a very ruthless and cunning, if needed) traveled back to the past, not a schoolboy. Thus, he changes history, not creates it.
