This show is basically a commentary on reviewing. It shows the differences in what people believe are "good" or "bad" in their sexual partners reduced into a simple numbered score.
Oh and also the characters are reviewing sex/sex establishments for monster girls in a fantasy world. It's done pretty tastefully, minimal nudity by hentai standards, and the characters deal with the story in a realistically mature manner.
The music is just that perfect mix of soothing and porn ost. Sound effects are always spot and on and nothing seemed too stock sfx like at all in my opinion.
The art is flawless and never slacks. Admittedly the art
...
style isn't unique but it's done as well as you could ever want. Voice acting is very spot on as well.
I enjoyed this immensely.
BTW if you think this series is in any way immature, you just aren't old enough to know how real the topics in this show hit home.
Enjoy your time and learn how some cultured men review life experiences.

Another Fate anime, but we still get a whole episode of build up and intros for masters and their servants.
In all seriousness, I'm giving this a 9 because I see the potential of how all the character's ideologies will clash in crazy ways. It's a fun first episode full of action, betrayal, and a great tone setter. Not too much more for now since we don't know much about any of the servants for now.
The music was mostly nothing worth noting except for 2 vocal tracks that were very excellent.
Animation was above average, but the art style was truly unique and memorable.
...
It's written by the author of Durarara so I have high expectations of a story with many groups with many method to achieve their goals. A full series has been announced already, but we'll see how that goes since the source material is yet to be finished as of this review.

Music, about average. Animation, average to above average.
Plot is LITERALLY half canon, half filler.
I highly recommend the first 6 episodes but the last 6 MUST be skipped.
The plot for the first half was very well done, probably around an 8/10, but I give the second half a 1/10. It really goes to show you the difference in writing capabilities between two people even when using the same characters. the first arc gave something for everyone to do and improve upon for themselves, the second arc frequently ignores most of the characters intelligence and on top of that have an AWFUL moral at
...
the end that is simply, the main character shouldn't kill the villain...just let someone else kill them...
I very much still want and hope for a season 3, but as usual, beware of fillers. It really brought down this whole show.

First of all. THIS IS WHOLESOME. If you don't believe that, then you will hate this show. On its surface it is no different than all the dime a dozen harem shows, however the honesty of the 3 main characters really holds this whole show together. They all want to date together honestly, and the quirky moments end of feeling incidental to the show.
HOWEVER.
This only holds true for the first 5-ish episodes of the show, and a bit of the final episode. The middle part of the show is dragged down by a girl called Milkers who has big boobs. The
...
show will try to justify her existence but she actually adds NOTHING to the show and only negatively impacts it. At first, I thought she was a unique addition with her aggressiveness and modern sensibilities, but she ends up outstaying her welcome and ignoring the main character who VERY STRAIGHTFORWARDLY tells her no when she asks to date him.
You COULD claim the series main theme is determination to never give up on what you want, it is brought up plenty of times to agree with this sentiment. But when it was made very clear, multiple times, that the main character was not interested in her, that should've been it with this character. And unfortunately she occupies a large middle chunk of this season.
The saddest part is that this show was on its way to being a 10/10 for its genre if not for this huge, pointless, arc.
Now then. The music ranges from average to fairly catchy, but overall it is probably unmemorable.
The art was very good, however many times there are details said about the girls that aren't shown within the show, like muscle tone and hair details. But of course boob size can be shown easily so it's there.
Also it's worth noting that some legal issues were brought up near the end of the series that mention how marrying two people in Japan isn't legal, and some other issues are likely to show up as well, EVENTUALLY. But within a school setting, there shouldn't be any real drama considering how honest the 3 main characters are.
Also I guess either Japan doesn't know about Mormons or it's just straight up illegal there I guess.
In short, the show is amazing as a drama for the first 4 episodes with pieces of genuine humor. Then it turns into a purely trashy comedy with Milkers and is complete garbage.
Then the final episode is good again, but I'm pretty sure Milkers will stick around that I worry for a sequel season. Also the last girl introduced, Shino, seems like a good addition, so it's not like new character can't ever be brought in and work with the show.

First off, definitely don't bother watching this unless you're a One Piece fan.
Secondly, definitely don't watch this if you're a One PIece fan.
Most of the characters either act different than in the show, are far weaker than in the show, or more likely some combination of both. Even now I think about how the villain's power to control gold was utterly pointless. It wasn't used in any meaningful way, and the tiny bit of morality that is attempted feels completely hollow. BTW Zoro couldn't cut through gold..like wut...and Nami didn't attempt to use gold as a conductor to be used for
...
anything. Two basic interactions that Gold could've had with two abilities of the main characters. On top of that, this is post time skip in One Piece so you would expect plenty of Haki, but the movie actually has basically no haki used at all.
The music was fairly upbeat and makes you think stuff is happening, but not memorable in any way.
As for animation, it's good, but also not ambitious at all.
Finally as for the specifics of the story. It's bland nonsense. There's an island with lots of gold, but the guy in charge controls gold, and therefore uses it to enslave the whole population, except for a small group of people who love him, who also mysteriously disappear from the fiilm once the villain loses his powers temporarily.
The "best" part of the movie is a rushed, undetailed backstory given to the villain that is basically not addressed at all, but looked better than this whole movie due to its connections to the slavery done by the Celestial Dragons.
My best guess is that it was thrown in the movie just to show that the villain became who he hated...which would be fine/great if it was a major part of the plot. Instead, the villain should hate the celestial dragons but at the end of the day he's helping them quite a bit.
Oh and Zoro getting captured was just nonsense based on what we know he can do.
That's the whole movie. Have a great day.

This story was made by the same author as Konosuba’s author. While both share similar comedy aspects Combatants must be dispatched focuses on comedy a little too much. The action scenes are a let down and one particular arc within a desert is so useless even the story cannot explain its presence.
The high points of the show are undoubtedly the scant few moments when the characters are talking to each other and it isn’t a blatant comedy sketch routine. This was made even more obvious when the best episode in the whole show was an episode unrelated to the plot or the typical
...
location the show takes place in and instead you learn about the leaders that the main character works for.
Many of the characters share a lot of similarities to KonoSuba’s characters whether that is art or personality designs but I also believe that they end up not feeling as tropey as Konosuba’s characters.
Again about the action in the series while you might not expect very good action scenes since this is a mostly comedy show KonoSuba never failed to deliver fairly satisfactory action scenes. This is obviously a failure of the anime studio making this show and as a result many story elements lack the expected climax that it definitely was aiming for.
I could see this improving greatly in a sequel series and while the plot doesn’t go in a direction that was completely satisfactory it is still changing the status quo from what you’d expect.
In summary it is an enjoyably relaxing time that feels distinct from any other series and its character moments make me want more from the show in the future.

I don't review many shows but this series in particular really needed one. It's the true epitome of a "mixed bag" show. It has everything in position to be memorable, meaningful, and beautiful. It then throws most of this potential in the trash in favor of the crudest jokes, the most minimal animation and art, and an unfulfilling story.
The plot is that a boy fresh entering into college ends up joining a Diving Club with the genuine desire to learn about diving and have fun with the people in the club.
ENTER THE CENSORED, NAKED MALE BODY BUILDERS.
For the cheapest of cheap jokes, the
...
first episode delves into how the Diving Club seems to be the most generic depiction of a fraternity club you could ever imagine. Basically the movie Animal House except with less fun, more peer pressure, and zero consensuality.
Obviously the problem is that this manga was written by someone who lives in Japan, a country that shuns open personalities and excessive drinking. Also I haven't really ever heard of fraternities being in Japan so it's pretty natural to have an out of date depiction of American college life.
However, sex and women are depicted in the typical Japanese fashion so most of the women ridicule or blame the men for things that they are either trying to avoid or things that they shouldn't be ridiculed for doing. Also of course the main characters are trying to get laid and drink for 90% of the show, but then when the 10% of passionate diving takes place you're somehow supposed to feel some sort of emotion...
Bizarrely, I think if this diving series had more diving it'd be very very good.(imagine that...)
The rare bits of genuine romance were very well done and the personalities interacting throughout the show are usually very enjoyable to see interact between each other, but the bad characters are cardboard characters(1/10) who rip away any genuine humanity the show could've had in it.
The jokes aren't exactly bad, but they are so predictable that you will be waiting 5-10 minutes for a joke to play out that you knew the end to for the whole time. I suppose this wouldn't be a problem in the manga since you could read it so quickly, but there are whole episodes of there being basically only 1 or 2 jokes so I have to question the manga's pacing.
Music is forgettable but not obnoxious. Art isn't bad but is basic.
Funnily enough, I'd give the story for the series a 10/10, but it's the pacing of the anime that can't keep up at all. For instance, right here I can say "they got drunk at night and partied till the sun came up. They then got ready to dive into the ocean while hi-jinks ensued." that doesn't sound too bad, until you realize they drink for 5+ minutes, hear random people complain for a minute or two, they wake up and do the whole hangover thing for a while, and then the main characters are harassed and ridiculed for another minute or two while they get ready to start the day. This happens in more than one episode so it gets tiresome to see very quickly.
I think the biggest downfall of this show is that it's shown off as being a diving show with some possible romance, when in reality it's half a show where people drink, half poor comedy sketches, and then some exceptional diving and romance scenes maybe 5% of the time.
Btw, there are no gay overtones in the show at all, all the naked guys are just for comedy or to be funny for girl readers I suppose. It's not even a problem when they have those scenes, but that's way too much shown to be the whole purpose of the show.
I don't think you'd be wasting your time to check out this show since I really do like some character designs and personalities. However, as much as I'd like to say the first episode doesn't represent the rest of the show, it really does, in all the worst ways.

I have to say that while the movie was slowly building up to something potentially really good, around the 70% mark, when the villain motivations were revealed, it REALLY dropped the ball. There were a lot of scientists who were doing some kind of good/gray area things with very dumb methods. On top of that most of the heroes powers are de-powered in very obvious ways. Most notably, Deku.
All that said, all the of new characters were enjoyable and added some much needed lore to the series, like the crime rates in other countries and how All Might is seen outside of Japan. Also
...
it addressed that science is indeed not being left behind at all by all the quirk powered people. Yes, it was acknowledged in the series before, but not by adult scientists.
Though not having any new heroes introduced in such a locations sounds very bizarre, it was probably for the best that they focused on partner fights with the UA students for the whole movie rather than introduce heroes we'd never see ever again.
The setting however was heavily under-utilized. They barely talked about it, including what country owns it...Also apparently it is entirely policed by robots, which I don't think have ever been mentioned as existing in the series ever before.
The music was reused from previous seasons so it didn't really stick out and the art was perhaps a bit weaker than the normal seasons as well.
Also the bit where they showed All Might when he was young should've been more important, or better yet the whole plot of the movie.
Overall, it had a lot of potential and had some really solid momentum for most of the movie, but a soon as villain motivations were mentioned the whole premise of the movie kind of stopped everything in its tracks. That's just my initial impression, after the movie ended I started finding a plot whole or two with the villains as well. They didn't need to be complex, which they weren't, but even with simple motivations and a mostly simple villainous plan, the movie still failed to keep the villains anywhere close to believable.

If you've seen previous Fate titles they usually have some form of glory or grand theatricality. This movie continues from the last in how this Route of the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel is completely grounded in its reality with harsh truths and painful choices that is utterly unlike most seasonal anime. It is much more comparable to the movie Your Name in how believable it is.
The little bit of fantasy in the story is a type of magic that adds a horror movie or mystery feeling to the world. It's full of characters that know the hidden truth of magic and the families
...
who pursue more knowledge for their personal benefit or for the better of all humanity.
However, just like the previous movie, the story continues its drastic change from a glorious and honorable free for all fight to the death in pursuit of a wish from the Holy Grail into a macabre massacre of the participants by an unknown being or force. To the Masters, this being is kind of understood as a corruption of the grail but its intentions and abilities are beyond all imagining. It would be apt to call this being a sort of Freddy Kruger or Eldritch horror that can't be communicated with or stopped.
A true monster.
That isn't to say there are no light hearted and hopeful moments. There are some cathartic moments for some characters that had it coming, but obviously that type of happiness in this film is bitter sweet since it reminds you how no one is likely to escape from these events unharmed. There are also a couple moments that were set up by Fate/Zero that were finally discussed and characters reconnected in some very touching scenes. That said, most of the characters have lost most of their family in one tragedy or another so there isn't much happiness that can be felt other than in the present state of their lives. Which is during a life and death battle... It is for this reason that this part in the movie trilogy feels mostly like a mental breakdown of most of the main characters goals and past tragedies.
Sakura is of course the centerpiece of this Route so it focuses on her personal connections to Shirou, Shinji, Rider, and Rin. She is forced to confront everyone who has been affected by her choice to avoid the Holy Grail War and the family situation that was thrust upon her. As touching and tragic as the story is, I can't say that there is much finality to anything since as I said this is a build up to the Route's conclusive final movie. There is a climax, but it's used as a cliffhanger. This will be excellent narrative pacing in preparation for what comes next but by itself this movie doesn't have a chance to live up to the action of the previous movie or the twists that have happened and are yet to come and be explained in the next movie.
While there are no CGI issues like in the first movie, there were some questionable frames of some shots that looked oddly bad compared to the rest of the movie, but it was only at about 3 spots. That said, nothing looks particularly spectacular, and the fights are mostly one sided and/or anti-climactic so the bit of choreography that was used felt kind of wasted.
My enjoyment is only matched by my anticipation for what's to come...in one year when the next movie comes out. I'm certain that once every movie in this trilogy is readily available to be bought and watched at one's leisure it will be a 10/10 masterpiece. Memorable for years to come. But until that time comes, years down the line, I can't give this anymore than an 8/10.
It is after all, the second act in a three act story.

I wanted to make this review because I want to point out a similarity between Heaven's Feel and games made by Yoko Taro.
If you are not familiar with Yoko Taro I advise you to skip this review as my references won't make much sense.
There are stories that are so complex that you must view them from multiple points of view. Sure, you can show the story from two or three characters point of view for a time, but even that way of story telling can be limited. So how can you see the whole story from one person's point of view?
By withholding details and changing
...
the course of fate within the story. If a character dies early in one timeline, you might not care about them or understand their point of view. However, in a different timeline they lived a full 5 days later so you have WAY more time to understand and get to know them before their inevitable, yet better timed, death.
Fate/Stay Night is one such story that can be simple at first but as you finish the season(or game) to get a different ending, a different outcome. The story slowly goes from a 1 dimensional story to a 2 dimensional story and then a 3 dimensional story. A story that has so many layers that you must consider what has happened before, what will happen now, and why things have changed due to even the smallest change in the world. It's very much like The Butterfly Effect (if you know what that is) but on a much smaller scale considering the time frame only lasts about 16 days.
If you have watched the original Fate/Stay Night by Studio Deen, and then Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works by Ufotable then this is a must watch that will without a doubt exceed your expectations. Fate/Zero is also relevant but not completely necessary to watch to enjoy this. But extra knowledge only sweetens the complexity of this story. However if you have no idea what I'm talking about then watching this movie is ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS, unless you're deaf and just want to see pretty animation. Which you will get.
The point is, this story has layers. Very complex layers. It's definitely the type of movie you can watch multiple times and understand and come to love the characters more and more.
All this said, the music is standard for the series in the best and worst ways. It never stood out to me as being memorable but neither was it drastically different than previous season made by Ufotable.
The characters are at the best they have been since Fate/Zero, but Shirou is as always too stupid to stand. You just have to either ignore the reason a human being would do what he does, or deepen your hatred of such an impossible to exist human being.
I hope you got enough info from this review and please criticize my roundabout way of explaining this roundabout story.
