Devilman Crybaby was an anime a lot said was good, and a lot said was bad. After watching it all, I can see why there’s a lot of mixed reviews. So I’ll write a list of pros and cons in my opinion.
PROS:
- unique character design for both humans and demons
- biblical aspects (which always gets me going, i love biblical undertones, even if they were quite obvious in this sense)
- plot twist (despite already knowing it was going to happen)
- literally nobody is safe in this anime
- likeable characters! always a good one
CONS:
- despite the unique and the enjoyable designs, i wasnt a huge fan

of the artstyle. it was kinda disjointed and made the characters have different figures and silhouettes throughout
- storyline was quite complicated at the beginning with a LOT of boobs (nudity is only a pro if it’s for artistic purpose. devilman tried to use it for artistic purpose but instead it looks like an LSD-fuelled porno).
- some aspects and plotpoints are quite confusing if you dont know about the show prior. i went in completely blind and was quite confused from the getgo. at least things make sense in the end.
- the english part was a little disjointed. although the random brit in episode 10 did make me laugh.
i did quite enjoy it though. if you dont take anime too seriously, you’ll probably enjoy it. the messages and plots are quite gut-wrenching and the ending made me feel pretty empty. i love feeling empty at the ends of anime though, it means it did something to me. i guess if you like chainsaw man, you might like this. it’s just a more pornographic version.

Hunter x Hunter, an anime that sometimes drives people away due to the 148 episodes and the fact that both the anime and manga are currently in hiatus. But please, don't make the same mistake I did and think that because of this, it isn't worth watching. Because it really is.
Hunter X Hunter follows the main character, Gon Freecs, a 12-year-old boy who lives with his aunt and grandmother, who wishes to become a hunter and find his father - who happens to be one of the greatest hunters in the world. Leorio who just wants to become a doctor, and Killua, a boy the same age who comes from a family of assassins.
Each character you come across has a respectful backstory, some being incredibly unique and all making sense. The characters you're supposed to dislike are dislikable, and the ones you're supposed to root for you end up loving. Then there are the villains, such as Hisoka and the Phantom Troupe, who are just as enjoyable as the other characters. Each one has a unique visual design, with brilliant voice acting and animation that flows well.
Plus, talking about animation, the fight scenes flow so well, with a beautiful, unforgettable soundtrack. Each character has its own 'theme song', and every time you hear it, your brain instantly goes 'ah yes, this is Hisoka's time' or 'Leorio is about to appear'. Thank you Yoshihisa Hirano!
The pacing was excellent, except for around episode 110-119. This was my only flaw, where an excessive amount of narrating was included and little action (I believe only three minutes in the HXH universe occurred in nine episodes). However, don't get me wrong, this arc was also just as excellent, and some scenes had me in absolute tears.
Hunter x Hunter was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Although it did take me a while to finish, I genuinely enjoyed the experience. It was funny, suspenseful, upsetting and more, so if you want to watch this show, DO IT! Because when I have time, I'll definitely be watching it all over again <33

If you're a fan of psychological horror, you will LOVE this show.
Very, very minor spoilers in this review, but only for the first episode. I highly suggest not even looking at reviews to get the full effect of the show, as it's just fascinating.
Story:
In this show, there are a LOT of parallels to Attack on Titan, yet they're nothing alike, so if you like that, then you'll most likely enjoy this too. This story shows from episode one that the three main characters, Emma, Norman & Ray, are in an orphanage, ran by their 'Mama'. At first, it's nice and innocent. 38 children
...
all having fun, excited for their little sister to get adopted.
However, not even halfway through the first episode, everything is flipped on its head when Norman and Emma find something out that they shouldn't have done, and hence, the horror begins.
There are TONS of plot-twists in this show, and they all caught me off guard in a good way. Like, they made sense.
All the episodes ended on cliff-hangers, and I ended up watching the whole thing in one day and I didn't realise.
Art:
Now I haven't read the manga. I usually read the manga AFTERWARDS (I know, weird lol), but I was pleasently surprised after looking up manga panels that the art style is very similar. The characters are unique and well-drawn, and the scenery is a mix of pretty yet also very, very sinister. You can easily see how each character is feeling with simple changes in their expression, especially in their eyes. Very well done art, everything runs smoothly.
Sound:
Amazing opening and ending songs. I listened to them all the way through on every episode. Background music just made everything even more tense, and I was constantly on edge. Props to the voice actors (I watched subbed) for portraying AMAZING characters, especially Ray. God, the intensity in their voices... amazing.
Characters:
Great character development! The trio is constantly faced with dilemmas, and their development through the episodes are great. The creepy characters are DEFINITELY creepy, and the cute characters are certainly cute. I couldn't name a single character that irritated me (except the ones that were supposed to, ofc), and I became attached pretty quickly. I even got emotional in some scenes, although that's not exactly difficult to do.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I really recommend! I'm not really one for psychological horror, because I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to that, but The Promised Neverland will be on my top ten list for a while :) Can't wait to watch Season Two!

Just for clarification, this is coming from someone who HASN'T read the manga, so some people may have differing opinions from me. This also includes a few spoilers.
For starters, I cried. A lot. And although it's pretty easy to get me to cry at anime, whether it be a movie or a show, I haven't cried this much for a long time. Both main characters, Shoya Ishida and Shouko Nishimiya, are pretty well-written (although sometimes it appears that Shouko's disability of being deaf is the main focal point of her personality) and have a lot of character development, with the two helping each other out

over the course of the movie.
One certain scene, which I won't spoil (but I'm sure a lot of people know what I mean if they've watched it) completely caught me off guard and made me cry a LOT. The sound effects, music, Ishida's screams of panic, the art and just... everything about that scene will stay with me for ages. It was so well-done and I just... yeah.
Some characters, though, seemed to be... not the greatest. For example, Ueno just struck me as mean for no reason, even though there were reasons that she gave (if you get me). I really did NOT like her at all, even if there was a slight redemption, and I'm not sure if this was intended?
But then there are side-characters like Yuzuru and Tomohiro who I really adored. They were funny, unique and just overall good characters.
THE MUSIC.
For me, music and sound is really important or it can ruin a scene completely, but this was brilliant. That's all I can say. It was just... awesome :)
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the few plot-holes and weird character moments, it's probably one of my favourite things I've watched in a while. Do watch it! Although, you will probably cry.

I decided to watch this as a joke because it's the lowest rated anime on MAL. I'm now filled with anger that I wasted time even watching it.
It's one of those that's so bad it's laughable. The only thing I found even slightly, remotely good were some bits of scenery, and even that was utter dog crap. Even the goddamn sound effects were trash; it would've been better finding one of those copyright-free sound effects you find on youtube. One that sticks in my head is one of the screams that left me laughing so hard my sides hurt. And I'm pretty sure it was

meant to be a serious scene, too.
Bland characters, bland sound effects, bland storyline, weird CGI squid monsters...
Oh yeah! The CGI squid monsters! I've seen better CGI in an 80s live-action movie, and those came out like, twenty years before this.
I can't even make a jokey review because it just pisses me off that I even decided to watch it.
I am in pure agony.

I really enjoyed Haikyuu!
At first, it took me a while to actually get into it; I started the first episode a few months ago, dropped it to focus on other anime, and then watched the rest of the first season in about two/three days. Which is rare for me, as it takes me a few weeks to finish a single season that long alone.
Each episode ended with me wanting to continue, to the point where I spent three to four hours a day binge watching.
The characters were so enjoyable and well-rounded, with the somewhat "pervy" character (although he's not that bad compared to

the other pervy characters in anime) having realistic personality traits too. I'm talking about Tanaka, who is not only used for comic relief (along with other characters too) but has a genuine reason to be there.
The main character, Hinata, isn't a protagonist that gets pushed to the back of your mind, yet he's not always the main focus, either. Other characters such as Kageyama also get the spotlight, and I think that's incredibly refreshing.
All the charatcers are different; not one of them is the same. The contrast between Hinata and Tsukishima (for example) is extreme, yet it's not uncomfortable to watch.
Also, something I like is that Karasuno's Volleyball team aren't always winning. Volleyball is a very difficult sport to master, and I'm glad the anime doesn't portray it as something easy. Karasuno has it's ups and downs, and it tells us that losing isn't the worst thing in the world. We learn from them and get better in the future, a message that really strikes home for me.
The art style is really unique, too. I love how the character's eyes are portrayed, as you can tell how that certain person is feeling in the moment. The way the characters move and how the ball moves is really fluid and doesn't have any awkward movements or glitches, and I'm incredibly proud of the animation team. They must've spent ages on certain scenes to make them perfect, and I seriously can't wait to watch the rest of the seasons for that alone.
The story-writing is also fluid. Everything makes sense and there's a reason for everything. The comedy, although a little childish at times, never falls flat and makes me sometimes laugh out loud. Yet, when there's a serious scene, you're hooked. You're drawn in, and it just makes me happy to know that there aren't any scenes that bring the rest of the anime down.
Overall, super enjoyable! I really liked this anime, and I can't wait to watch the rest. :)
