@SirAdept It's because Studio Pierrot is currently being heavily overworked. The studio right now has 3 long running shows and another 2 cour show. Not to mention the director was working on Long Riders last year so Black Clover doesn't really have a good production schedule.

EGOIST | Nov 30, 5:15 AM
@SirAdept, really? Black Clover seems more on Pierrot's higher production quality

EGOIST | Nov 30, 5:13 AM
So you're telling me people are mad because of the filler episodes? I watched most of the episodes so far and I can say that he's handling Black Clover fairly well. If you're going to complain about why Black Clover has a shit storyline then go to the author's/script writer's page it's actually laughable that people go directly to the director's page to shit talk him about Black Clover

@jbxgilang, It's sad to see Tatsuya getting so much backlash, he got the shorter end of the stick for sure. But even the animation in BC seems lazy, I'm pretty sure there is a deeper reason for that... oh right.. Studio Pierrot

XDread | Nov 18, 5:50 AM
barely story development like nothing happen in each episode black clover. you push anyone to next level tilt

jbxgilang | Nov 17, 9:09 PM
Great Animator and Director, people should stop bitching because Black Clover is Trash from the start and without him the animation will be downgrade to a clown level

Z4k | Nov 5, 3:01 PM
There's a difference between filler that has nothing to do with the plot and one that supplements the source material. Black Clover is doing the later.

The adaptation is kind of being treated the same way to Kazuhiro Furuhashi's 1999 Hunter x Hunter because they're not using the manga as the storyboard for the episodes. Instead of doing the six month timeskip from the second chapter of the manga, the director opted to show the aftermath of the fight in episode 2, show Asta and Yuno training, and give us a glimpse of the first Wizard King's fight with the Demon. .

v I kinda thought that episode was okay.

But not really his fault, and besides he has to work with what he has in stock. Btw, not even his fault for adapting the source material of the show. :L though the writer that's a different case (not really relevant for this profile but to keep it short its just... mediocre).

Afortunado | Nov 1, 2:05 PM
5 episodes and it already has fillers, I don't know if it is only his fault, but...

just sad, it could be at least a "7/10" adaptation.
