'Kami Kuzu☆Idol' TV Anime Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo

The official website of the Kami Kuzu☆Idol (Phantom of the Idol) television anime series revealed on Wednesday five additional cast, staff, theme songs, a second key visual (pictured), and first promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 2 at 1:53 a.m. on TV Tokyo, followed by BS11 and AT-X.

The anime's main idol duo ZINGS will perform the opening and ending themes, titled "Let's ZING!" and "Kimi Kira," respectively. The opening theme is previewed in the promotional video below.

Daiki Fukuoka (Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen) helms the anime at Studio Gokumi. Yasuko Aoki (Radiant) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Saori Hosoda is designing the characters and myu (RDG: Red Data Girl) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Hijiki Isoflavone's supernatural comedy manga, which began serialization on Comic ZERO-SUM magazine in December 2017. Ichijinsha shipped the fifth volume on January 25, 2022.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in July and released the first volume on May 24, with the second volume scheduled to ship on July 26.
