Ninth Episode of 'Ulysses: Jehanne Darc to Renkin no Kishi' to Delay Broadcast

The official website for the currently airing Ulysses: Jehanne Darc to Renkin no Kishi TV anime has announced on Tuesday that the ninth episode of the series will be delayed. An audio commentary version of the first episode featuring Ryota Osaka (Montmorency), Hisako Tojo (Astaroth), and Ryousuke Naya (sound director), which will be bundled in first blu-ray volume of the series, will be broadcast instead on December 2. The ninth episode will resume on December 9.

The TV anime series is based on the novel series by Mikage Kasuga with illustrations by Merontomari. The seventh and final volume was released on November 22. The manga adaptation titled Ulysses: Jehanne Darc to Sennen Sensou no Himitsu by Shinbayagi and Hirafumi was serialized via Niconico Seiga between February 28 and November 14. Shueisha Bunko has released the compiled volume under Young Jump Comics imprint on November 19. The TV anime has been airing since October 7.

This is either due to production issues or Yuuko Oono's sudden announcement of going on hiatus due to her "health condition." Either way, the anime industry is having a lot of trouble getting the episodes out on schedule...

These delays are one big cry for help. The industry is at it's breaking point. I think halving the amount of anime released each season is no longer a controversial option.
