AS hilarious as trainwrecks are, if that happens, I am out.

*sigh* this guy...

always like to stating the obvious.

Whoever drop this show is totally unfair, inexcusable & inevitable.

I mean it might be interested to see how the story goes.

They better not decide to make the indecisive emo shitbucket(also known as Slaine) as the lead.

AS hilarious as trainwrecks are, if that happens, I am out.

New character for part 2 has been confirmed. His name is Harklight. He will be voiced by Daisuke Hirakawa. He's the guy standing behind slaine.

This is where i found out abou the new character.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-10-14/aldnoah.zero-2nd-season-casts-daisuke-hirakawa/.79916

Hmm something interesting about the article is that it says he will be joining the voice actors of part 1 but doesn't exclude Inaho and Asseylums voice actors.

I doubt that guy will be an another mouthy asshole just like Trillram.

Anyone got info on something called Aldnoah Zero Twin Gemini? They're saying it's a sidestory manga about 2 Imperial Knights that help Slaine in part 2. This is not confirmed.

That was one of the stupidest endings to a split-cour anime's first cour I've ever seen. Who thought that would make for a good cliffhanger?

It was a good cliffhanger, that's not even debatable. if you think it wasn't good for the story, than I can see where you are coming from.

After that episode, discussion of the anime increased to an EXPONENTIAL degree, I'm sure many more people also watched it just due to everyone talking about it. It was good as far as business is concerned. Good might be an understatement, it did everything you want a cliffhanger to do.

Agreed, whether you like the ending of the first season or not, it was indeed a good move if they wanted to draw attention and discussion to the series. You may call it cheap, dirty, underhanded, and absolutely hate the staff for it but it definitely achieved its goal of creating a strong impact. Not to say that it can't come back and bite them in the ass but there's a lot of things that can happen in the 2nd season that might appease the ragers.

You guys sure like to argue about the gunshot placement, all I saw is blood, no actual holes in specific places. Either way I was really disappointed in the first season, the anime basically comes down to continuous tormenting of Slaine, and the authors seem to enjoy putting him in all those terrible situations. I suppose the idea is to make him graduate from a pure and loyal person to a mad man bent on revenge (?). I'm not going to delve into that too much. I don't have big expectations of season 2 and after watching the first I'm not even sure if it's a good idea to pick it up - very depressing stuff. Just my thoughts.

The placement of the gunshots are pretty clear cuz you can see where the blood gushes out at the moment of impact. The princess's death will definitely play a big role in the kind of person that Slaine is going to become, that much is a given, regardless of whether the princess is truly dead.

If you dislike the deaths, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that Inaho and the princess might not be truly dead, especially if enough viewers whine about it. But who knows, maybe they adamantly want to stand out as one of the few series to have their two lead roles be killed off halfway into the series. Well, technically, Slaine was as much the protagonist as Inaho was but still.

The ending said that Asseylum was missing, so it's not that inconceivable that she's alive.

Inaho, on the other hand.. If they bring him back to life, I won't give A.Z's second season any score higher than a 3.
