What do you get when you take a plot about an arranged marriage between a 16 year-old girl and a 37 year-old man in Feudal Japan, and throw in some supernatural elements, as well as strict rules of engagement? You get 'Ne Ne Ne', a story that somehow manages to make these elements come together in an endearing, natural way. Nothing about the age difference seems forced despite the concept sounding problematic; it's handled in a light-hearted, innocent way, as both mains are very pure. It's a short pilot, but 'Ne Ne Ne' is worth the read as it's in the process of being adapted

Ne Ne Ne is a simple, short romantic comedy that does pretty much everything right.
It has a simple theme of romance between a mature man and a young girl who wants him to see her as an adult, with both of them being inexperienced and shy when it comes to love. The interactions between characters are funny, the art is cute and shows all the emotion I expect, and nothing about the age gap, feudal setting, or supernatural elements feels jarring. You might see that it's only a single volume and think it was instantly axed and had a rushed ending, ...

It's really cute to see how the guy handles things, the way they try so hard to stop themselves to do stupid things and such. This manga is about a young girl getting fixed marriage on a guy older than her. Having read it, it's such a short manga with a very common but pure relationship. The only thing that differs is the guys face which was left unknown till the end ...

tl;dr: A short and sweet manga about an innocent couple that ends too early but is solid for what it is.
This manga is pretty good for as far as it gets, but it gets cut off what feels way too early. It basically feels like an introduction to the two characters, just a look at their personalities and how they mesh into the relationship they share. Now this was certainly really sweet and enjoyable for the extent of it, but as that's all there is without any progress or development this is a tad disappointing. There isn't really any sort of plot either, even though it did ...

This is a really great manga. It’s one of the first mangas I read, and I really love the story and the art.
It’s about an arranged marriage between a young girl and a man who is a lot older than her. This is one of my favourite age-gap romance manga. The guy is super respectful about the age gap and the girl makes it interesting for not really caring about it too much. There’s a lot of cute moments that make my heart skip a beat! The only downside is that it’s so short. I wish it continued so I could read more! But I do ...

A short comedy and slightly romance, manga about a marriage life between a young girl and an almost forty old man, with a special feature (a mask).
They are both trying to find ways to live with each other and to pass the awkwardness between them. I liked reading it, it can be read in a few hours to pass the time. I liked how Koyuki was trying to find ways to take Shin's mask off, but also, in same time, not to push it, hoping, maybe, he would take it off. Shin had, also, moments of embarrassment in front of Yuki. Story - 8 Characters ... |
