Synopsis

When classmates Mayuri Asana and Youji Aikawa catch their lovers kissing each other, they form a secret pact: to get back at them, Mayuri suggests that she and Aikawa have a love affair of their own. But these sorts of clandestine dealings are never simple, and what started out as a business-like conspiracy soon sparks something between them. Initially a romance born from revenge, they must now deal with the troubles and secrecy that come with being partners in crime and love.

Background

Nisekoi Doumei. is based on Aoi Sakaki's novel of the same title, which was published on March 30, 2011.

The manga adaptation began online serialization on the E★Everystar platform in 2012 and physical release began the following year. The physical release ended at 2 volumes and featured an original ending, while the webcomic continued serialization for 112 chapters.

The webcomic was republished on Manga Box in Japanese, and as "Nisekoi" in Chinese and English from December 10, 2014 to January 26, 2017.

Note: There are two versions of the manga, one physical version with 34 chapters compiled in 2 volumes tankobon that has an alternate ending, and an ongoing online version. This review is based on online version.

I only picked up this manga because I thought it was an interesting plot... until I read further into it.

Story: 6 - FAIR

The plot is supposed to be about two couples, a normal girl with a handsome guy, and a normal guy with a beautiful girl. The normal girl and boy were held back in class because of class duties so their partners (the beautiful handsome ones) waited for them in another class. I just read chapter 34 today and I'm here hoping that wasn't the last chapter, 'cause if not WOW what a shitty and rushed ending it has, thought it fits the plot that is as bad, let me explain what I mean
