A sweet morning before school shared by two kids. I read this short 6 pages one shot multiple times, and every time I do it, new ideas and interpretations appear. I just can't believe no one reviewed it yet.
We see the boy making amends and wiping away the girl tears, a sign that he is on the forgiving side. The boy doesn't want to start his morning in a sad mood, and surely doesn't want the same for his (possible) sister. Even though he acted rude, he realizes it right after. The girl is more responsible than him, hence who wakes up before. She is
...
short tempered, but lovely and kind; also ready to forgive and tie her friendship bonds despite what happened and their non verbal discussion.
The sequence is well done, we have a clear idea of the scenario in such a short time. Not only this, but all of their lives until their way are summarized in a tender way. The destiny of their parents, whether they woke before them or aren't there anymore, their lives together until that very moment, the importance of their companion and friendship, the possibility that they are siblings but not blood-related like. Everything ties together beautifully. We are left wondering how their days in school would be, however the story left this up to our imagination.
This is an one shot that is short, and also meant to be reread. One that left me wanting a tad more.
Thank you for reading.
