Here we have a harem manga that starts off with a bit of a twist; I'm not talking about the part where Yamato, the main character, joins a school that until the year before was for just girls. We can all name several that start like that. Unlike the typical harem, Yamoto isn't a goody-two-shoes who's nice to everyone. He's a man. He has a pair. And he isn't afraid to stand up for himself.

So then, on to the review...

Story: 6 -I've already given a little bit of background, so here's the short: the freshness of the series starts to fade after chapter 10 or ... so. Then it's a steady downhill until around chapter 20. After that, the plot sits, spinning in neutral. If you'll let me make an analogy: It revs up on occasion; you hear the engine (plot) getting ready for some action, but it never gets its ass in gear. No matter how much it seems like it's going to go somewhere, it never does. Just like that old woman at the stoplight.

You can literally skip ten or twenty chapters without missing anything significant. The author introduces new girls to tempt the main character, then writes them back out of the story after he gets bored of them. This would be fine, but the author seems to have an attention span of a goldfish. Really, characters are introduced then disappear two chapters later.

Art: 7 -It's pretty good. Not much to complain about, though the scans are small on One Manga. Characters are pretty but backgrounds lack the detail of series like Umi No Misaki.

Character: 7 -Yamato is by far the best one. He's a believable man you can relate to, the key word being MAN, as I said above. He's a boxer; he kicks ass and he knows it. Being a boxer myself, this adds another way I can connect to him.

As for the other characters... Meh. Most aren't too annoying, and as I said, the author writes so erratically that he'll probably make your most hated girl disappear once he's had enough of her, unless it's the main heroine, in which case you're out of luck.

Enjoyment/ Overall: 7 -My advice: read the first twenty chapters. If you like the snail's pace, keep on going. If you want something to actually develop, skip to chapter 81 or 82, where the mystery is explained. For everyone else... click on the Helpful button below. You know you want to.

The manga was really great and enjoyable. It's more or less just your typical harem series where the females get attracted to the main protagonist and have their closure after a while. What really was bothering me was one of the main heroine(Aoi) not having her closure at all. I mean she is one of the main characters from the beginning and having her disappear suddenly is really a big shock.

The tragic factor is not as great as I thought but that's what keeps me reading the entire manga. Too bad it was not much of a development as I have hoped it will.

I also ... hate the fact that they just keep throwing in new characters and throwing them out after that's just a bit annoying.

Well overall it was enjoyable though it's just a series that keeps repeating scenarios.

It wasn't bad but I found too many loopholes, so it's not somehting I would recommend to guys but for girls it's pretty good since the mushy stuff is involved.
Overall this is an 8,5 outta 10 - it's not bad, it's a decent rom com (romantic comedy) and it's got its tragedy and drama but that isn't emphasised upon a lot, so it's mainly comedy. About the ending, as a guy, I felt deeply bored and wished that the manga had ended with the couple going out but the story continued which led to events which loosely closed a chance for any sequel. It wasn't ... what I was expecting. It was thought-out well in some points like in having an ending which encourages the readers and it was good. However, man, I wished the ending had more of a flare. Nevertheless, it's a decent manga to read without a doubt, so give it a go.

Open Sesame Is A Very Nice Read If You Ask Me. It all starts with the MP Danjou Yamato who is a high school student who lives by the countryside and is a boxing regional champion as the synopsis says!. His childhood friend Minakami Aoi, happens to be really close to him since young. After that,He transfered schools to Tokyo from Nami island meeting one of the FP Mogami Maki who he happens to meet when having an incident when he just arrived at Tokyo and starts to go to an all-girls school which just turn coed in the year he joined. ... He started out pretty rough though.

Why Read It??
It can appear to be a typical high school romance comedy story but thats not how it seems to me !! The story is written in a way thats not really cliche at all. Some parts of the manga may seem filler but i like the pace of the romance between well..... you know.... and it wasnt boring at all. The story is not cliche at all AGAIN!........ well some parts can be familiar but that just how high school romance is! I have read many manga or Should I just say it proudly? More than You SERIOUS everything including adult heh! experimenting what can i say. Dont look to much into my profile its very new and this is my 1st review ! JUST ENJOY THE READ OKAY!

Oh and i was disapointed with one of the characters!!!

Good ol typical harem manga and it was really interesting during the time when leading characters where feuding with each other.
The story starts when Danzo Yamato the protagonist of this series and his family moves from Nami Island to Tokyo. Yamato is the Tokai regional boxing champion. When Yamato arrives at his new school he is shocked to discover that the class was mostly girls. He soon finds out that there some boys there but that there were only nine. He also learns that the girls are the main power in the school, and becomes enraged by this when he is ordered by some girls ... to clean the girls washroom. He bluntly denies and snaps back at them telling them to clean the washroom. Soon after Yamato engages in a type of war against the girls where he begins to secure a place of power for the boys and even creates a boxing club.
As the series progresses the girls around him started to like him because of his gentle behavior,soon he finds himself attracted towards the girl who made his school life a mess Maki Mogami cause of an old grudge(which he didnt know untli the last vol of manga that why she hated him).Maki also likes him but is unable to go out with him due to the past.

Story--6/10...it would have been much better if the feud continued for some more chapters

For me, this manga is a mix, a mix between very good things that deserve a 9 or a 10 and between things that deserve a 5 or a 6 that's why I rated it 7.5.

Let's begin, The story is interesting but quite frustrating. Let me explain. The start is blurry and it's normal because it's made like that. You will be introduced to the characters and to the setting. You will learn some things that happened in the past and that are really important but the author decided to do not reveal it until the very end. It will be one of my main ... trouble with this manga. You know that the story is deep but the real story will be in break until the last part of the manga where everything will finally happen. During 50 chapters if not more, it felt like every chapters were mainly fillers that were talking about secondary characters with MCs's help. (the boy and the girl)

The pro : they will slowly develop their feelings for each other

cons : the author was everytime introducing some another characters with same hairs than others, it was almost impossible to recognize who is who and it was very confusing. There are WAY too much characters introduced only for the sake of 3 chapters where MCs's will help them. It will be like that during 50 chapters or so... As I said it felt like fillers and I was just reading quickly at this part until it becomes interesting in term of story. Another bad point, the partial harem. Throughout the story, many girls will be attracted by MC. I said partial harem because MC is strraight forward when he doesnt want so it's not used to make bad drama or to confuse that much the characters. MC, most of the time, will finish to reject the girl quickly.

I really didnt enjoyed the fact that most of the story is settled at the end, it was frustrating to read during those "fillers" because you just wanted the story to progress and to know what are those secrets wrapped around the characters that the author didnt want to say at the start.

Characters : It's a mix, I would put a 9.5 for the main cast (main boy and main girl). MC is strong, he does boxing so no wonder why. he doesnt hesitate to fight to defend someone and he's brave. He will show it a BUNCH of time during this story. He's straight forward as I previously said. He's not an idiot that will cause misunderstandings because he cant communicate properly like some other romance "drama". The only minus point was that he was a little bit more tense with the main girl.

Main girl is bright. At the start I didnt like her that much but she quickly became cheerful and bright. It was a big surprise how much I appreciated her. She's smart and extremely well developed. The more the story progresses, the better she is.

this cast is very good, the only thing that made me lower the note was the other characters... As I said, this is too much. Way too much... Oh gosh. Harem girls were not that useful (apart aoi), other characters were "garbage" characters that you see only during 3 chapters made only to create 2 more chapters before the story continues and finally MC's male friends are only "useful" at the start and, well, they are not useful so anyway... It's a 4 for them and Aoi who can arguably be considered like a main character gives 3 points alone...

The art is good without being a hit.

Overall, the plot seemed unbalanced because the story is put in "break" after the start and at this point, the story was SLOW until the end where everything happened in 6 or 7 chapters. In between it was full of bad characters and uninteresting stories. The only point that made this readable was the great importance of both MC that shared a lot a beautful and "normal" moments, you know those daily moments where you learn to know your crush but it was just too long once again... I think it was necessary to develop the main characters, at the end I really liked their bonds because of those "fillers". I think the character development sacrificed the balance of the story. It was one or the other I think, it's the feeling I have. I really liked reading it and I read everything in one day (well I was just quickly reading the fillers of course so it's easier lol). The ending was satisfying even if it could have been better. The most satisfying thing was that main characters had overcome all that blurry past and were finally carefree. It gave depth to their bonds and I really enjoyed that, the magic of a good drama romance I guess.

Do I recommend reading it ? Actually yes, even with the 7.5 I gave, I really liked it and if it were not for those useless characters and that "dilemma" I pointed out earlier, it would have been a solid 9 for me. But as I said, the dilemma was necessary to develop the main characters like they are at the end and their bonds so it's not that bad we could say. The story was great after those fillers.
To be honest, I loved the last chapters (10 or 15 chapters before the ending something like that) and it gives me a subjective feeling that gives me the desire to note this manga 8 overall or 7.5.
Talking objectively, with the balance problem in the story and all those half useless fillers and bad characters, objectively, the note could be lowered but I dont know I just loved the way it went near the ending when the story started again.
