There are several reasons why I like both of these series: * In both series main characters dynamics work out really well - you keep wanting more interactions between them! * Relatable and well written main and side characters with nice backstories * Both are about relationships between people - what does it mean to be someone's friend; what does caring for someone really mean? * The confidence in both main characters (Yugami and Mitsumi) that inspires others and perhaps even you as a reader. Overall both are really well written slice of life manga.

Eccentric highschool boy and a normal girl that unwillingly gets dragged into his weird behaviors. Lots of comedy, but Yugami-kun has actual romance while Tonari no Seki is purely gag manga.

Both main male MCs are considered as weirdos and only a few classmates interact with them. But the truth is, they are interesting people. The female MCs see this side of them that their classmates couldn't see. They also think that romance with the main guy would be difficult. Both series are also in the same genres: shounen, comedy and romance.

Both main male characters are individualists, who are very smart and talented, but have problems with social contacts.

Chill slice of life manga with aloof protagonists. Both are very relaxing to read.

Both slice-of-life comedies featuring a weird, blunt, rude and somehow kinda charming guy.

Very similar style, tone, and approach to the main leads' relationship

Ok this is not a romance but a good comedy slice of life manga it talks about yugami who likes to be alone but then this girl gets transferred to his school and try to be friends... Give it a try you will have a nice laugh and you will be less depressed

Both series feature loner MC's who are kind of fine with being alone. Yugami however does not feel loneliness at all, while the MC Maehara in the other series does and befriends the female lead almost instantly. Both series take place in high school and try to elaborate on the question what is friendship, interactions between male lead and female leads are fun, so I feel like they fall under similar themes you can check out.

Yugami is the more optimistic and positive version of Kurosawa. Guy is a loner who does his own thing. Girl is timid and gets bullied. Girl bully matures. Class grows to understand the protagonist. Many similar elements between the two stories.

If you like slice of life stories with baseball in it, plus the progress where 2 characters are slowly starting to like each other then both are for you. Cross Game is quite known actually, but I was amazed how much I like Yugami-kun manga in those similar themes.

Great slice of life sport manga about baseball with many character interactions and life lessons. I think if you have ever enjoyed Oofuri you should check out Yugami manga as well. You don't even need to know much about baseball to cheer for the characters in both series since the matches are quite interesting. However, Oofuri focuses more on the sport itself while Yugami is more slice of life oriented.

In both series a boy and a girl end up sitting next to each other and get to know each other better. The guy helps out the girl and vice versa. Both series also deal with the "people are being misunderstood" part, but in a different way. The way main characters communicate is totally different as well in either series so that's the refreshing part if you ever happen to read them both.

Both series have baseball in it and are one of my personal favourites. I think both series exceed at writing characters and their relationships. However, while Diamond no Ace has their characters focus on entirely on baseball, Yugami series the characters have other goals and interests in life as well. Both are great series in their own special way.

Having 100 friends? Or how about having no friends at all? Both series represent the total opposite goals within the same "friendships" theme. The main characters in both manga are a boy and a girl sitting next to each other. The female lead has difficulties finding friends so the male lead tries to help her out. If you like this kind of setting, check them out! However, as the names of titles imply, Komi-san revolves more around the female lead while Yugami-kun is more about the male lead. And while Komi-san's plan is to gain friends, Yugami-kun is not interested in having friends at all.

Sakamoto-kun and Yugami-kun are both main characters who just do their thing and are considered cool or weird because of it. Not like they care about other people's opinion, though. So if you are looking for a story with an interesting male lead, both are for you.

Yugami is kind of the opposite of Machida, but they're both charming in their own special way and both end up changing those around them for the better. One main similarity is that they're both refreshingly honest, but Machida has a bit more tact, haha.
