Both about Tennis!!

Sports series with unnaturally talented characters and questionable physics.
reportRecommended by lithiumflower
Both series are sports series about an extremely talented young student who joins a school sports team and quickly becomes an integral part of its primary lineup. Both series deal with the dichotomy of talent born from hard work versus inborn genius; they also both have the ongoing motivation of senior students having their last chance at a substantial tournament win.

- they both have main characters, who are very confident, both in their personality and there skills. - both main characters are actually left handet. especially when they use there special skills. - they both have a lazy father, who train the main characters to improve there skills. - Both fathers were professional, but they gave up on their dreams, due to some unknown sercomstances ( sorry, don't know if I misspelled it ) - they both have a team, who compete against other teams. - both main characters, have a cat, as they both love very much.

They're both sports manga, one about tennis and the other about badminton.. both fun to read.

Both father and son are prodigies in tennis

Both Ide and Ryoma are geniuses. Although in Ide's case, he only recently started playing tennis. Together, with their teams, they join competitions. Prince of Tennis focuses only on tennis. Shanimuni GO, on the other hand, has a bit of romance.

Have a wide variety of awesome characters, have the main protagonist very good at what they're doing; both have the same type of intensity. Also, both are set up in a tournament type mode.

They are both similar in term of progression of the main character's (and the others) improvement over the course of the manga. And they sometimes use wild techniques during their games. Although Tennis no Ouji-sama has better drawing in my opinion, Tsubasa is still respectable.

Young, tennis-playing bishounen protagonist. Main difference being Prince of Tennis is way more over the top.

Well, even though Prince of Tennis is about Tennis, it gives you the same satisfaction you get from Badminton Girl. Plus, it's way more popular so there's also an anime for it ^_^

These two stories share a main character that has to pass and exceed expectations of others, while learning team cooperation.

both about tennis and really good players. Giant Step is a bit sillier than PoT though.

These are both great mangas centering around a sports prodigy. Both of the main characters are extremely talented and have confidence. Very funny matches and storylines make both of these very enjoyable!
reportRecommended by animethrone
The protagonists of both series are highly skilled in the sport they compete in (more or less a prodigy) and both Takumi and Ryoma are similarly seen by their opponents as a person they'd least suspect to be an amazing racer or tennis player. The storyline both also follow the same formula with countless opponents constantly challenging the male lead.

both are about tennis. Both are extremely funny

Both are shounen sport-y type manga that involve striving to the top. While Ryoma is a bit smarmy, and Sho has to work a bit harder than the average person to meet his goals, both have that same electric thrum to the series that makes you unable to stop reading.

both main characters are prodigies in their specific sport. only difference: its tennis vs. golf
