I'll try to sum up what i think.

I watch the anime first and considerate that despite the rocks that have in its trayectory it was entertaining.

Now that i know all the story i can't comprehed the objective of the autors. It's a very interesting beginning, a Male MC that it isn't the typical good boy, and the female MC that's can have more personality and not be simply violent tsundere because fuck it. Yes, we have our "childhood friend" of the MC with a disease that in spite of being only revelant times to times i can take seriously her character.

What happened then?
I'd like to ... know, without my knowledge the manga become weider and weaker with each page since the last arc of the anime.

I think that the authors want with madness include a plot twist in the manga for later give us a plot twist even bigger than the first to later lead us to explore the mind of the main characters with only ten chapters for the finale, and probably that wasn't a good idea (and at the same time i wouldn't have faith with more chapters).

I can't help thinking that the authors after decide the main idea of the manga, they only trust in the power of the plot twist until the end. And yeah that wouldn't be a problem itself, but the really issue is in how the authors achieve them.

This manga could have been one of those that i like to remember in the future but at the end i only have a headache while a write this, with the hope of feel better after this.

Now that i think, i can't remember a simple moment when i honestly laugh with the "comedy" of the author.

How hard can it be to write a decent story with a decent ending. Up until the last 5-10 chapters. I would’ve given this manga a solid 7 maybe an 8 out of 10. This is my first review and I just need to express my disappointment.
The story starts out with an interesting unique premise in romcoms, a story of revenge. The MC starts out seeking revenge on the FMC who humiliated him long ago when they were children. Now an unrecognizable attractive high schooler he seeks out the FMC and wants to cause her the same pain she caused him, but ... as he spends more time in his quest of revenge he builds real friendships with the students around him.
This is pretty much where the uniqueness ends, the situations and scenarios the characters find themselves in feel pretty generic. Despite being generic, the manga managed to hold my interest as new details were revealed about the past. New love rivals are introduced, and the MC is forced to confront his conflicting feelings of seeking revenge and accepting the new relationships he’s built.
Everything seems to be going well, although it feels very rushed, progress is being made in the story and then BAM! Big twist in the plot right towards the end. I was completely caught off guard, “What ? No way the author would do that!” This twist was not something I wanted, but it is something I welcomed. Right as the story was getting boring he managed to surprise me and hold my interest. I was looking forward to where he was going with this sudden twist and then BAM! Two chapters later and he takes it back.
Why even tease the readers with the sudden revelation and then take it back ? The author makes it seem like our MC will take this new road no one knew existed and then closes it once again. It makes no sense how these characters flip flop between their feelings. One chapter they feel a certain way then the next they feel completely opposite with no context to explain it.
I enjoyed this manga but the ending feels rushed and characters have no explanation for the decisions they make.

Masamune-kun no revenge. A story about a boy who, after being heartbroken invests his following 8 years into reshaping himself into every girls wet dream, and then proceeds to serve the cruel girl her own medicine, making her fall for him, then leaving her heartbroken. The story ends with the boy realizing the vanity and emptiness of revenge, and going out with the girl seriously.
EXCEPT it doesn't.
This manga starts out interesting, with a decisive, determined MC, and actually cruel rich girl. MC sacrifices his chances for friendships, relationships and fulfilled love only to achieve his revenge, slowly learning of the pain and hardship the said ... girl is actually going through.
And then, at the ending, it's all just denied.
YEAH, JUST LIKE THAT. All his effort is DENIED,the whole story becomes worthless! He could remain that fat kid that bought acquitances with his dad's money and the hot girl would go out with his regardless, BECAUSE IT TURNS OUT SHE'S COMPLETELY INNOCENT and loved him all along, and the one that broke his heart was actually not that girl, but someone else that IMPERSONATED that girl and dumped him out of spite.
Seriously, that ending is just such a filthy, obscene pile of deus ex machina shit I regret reading this far.



TL;DR/ SKIPPING THE RANT/ THE MOST IMPORTANT PART:
It's a fun manga. That ends at chapter 36. Anything beyond that point that's not a filler is a shameless changing of the main plot to an insult to anyone who faithfully read previous chapters. So don't.

In one sentence, this manga proves you can ruin whole manga with one single chapter.

For me personally, the manga (and the anime) was a solid 6. It's nothing ground-breaking and barely memorable, but it's clear that's it not suppose to be. It's a light-hearted romcom with a revenge story sprinkled in for some flavor. From the first chapter, the route the story will take is predictable, and some might find this bland. The predictability of the story is actually what drew me to it however. I was looking for something that was easy to chew, and Masamune-Kun No Revenge delivered on that. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for the same thing.

But if you are looking ... for a manga with amazing character depth and a mind-blowing story, look somewhere else. Masamune-Kun No Revenge is a fun ride, but it's not that kind of story. It's characters are sometimes inconsistent, and often their actions boil down to "we need to keep the plot moving." And there's nothing wrong with having an easy-to-chew story, but I just want to stress that despite having a interesting premise, the story is, at it's heart, a high school love comedy. Do not put your expectations put too high, suspend your disbelief, and just enjoy the laughter and romance. If you can't do that, this isn't the manga for you.

This series started off great. Then it got out of hand. I enjoyed the very first 2-3 volumes when the love becomes intense and nearly became a heart breaking moment. Then the story STILL CONTINUES!?!? It drifted off becoming one of those thin and long plots where they keep adding more characters to extend character development. What hooked me into this series was the intense hype about some main character's plan in the story to seek revenge.

The revenge plan soon drifted off to some cliche love story when they interact with the new characters and became soft headed. Then the revenge plan completely breaks ... down and no one speaks of it again after several issues. Literally the word "revenge" is in the title and they couldn't even keep the main theme that long.

Then I realized that this entire story is a bad cliche in a way that no body noticed. Two main characters hate each other and put a fake love interest to spite each other. Both had a secret childhood relationship and became real love with each other over a long ass period of time. (cough Nisekoi cough cough).

So the authors is trying to make a story that lasts long without end.

First, let me point out what I didn't like or even hated.
1. Flimsy approach to love.
2. Filler feelings and relationship replacements/feelings or throwing away oneself.
3. Stupid inability of being honest.
4. Non-Vanilla aspects. Including clouded vanilla romance.

... Now. Aside what I didn't like. There story did actually exist, progress and was fairly well put together. I did read in one go, but there more story progressed. The less I started to enjoy it.

Manga where I felt that I should have simply watched the Anime and never touched the Manga. But reason why I picked this Manga after watching Anime, was simply the fact that I wanted to know the outcome.

But yes, as I'm an absolute vanilla fanatic as my "moral compass/views" regarding such things are vanilla oriented as well. And the more loose, false or non-vanilla something is. The more it frustrates me. And thus why even though for the most part story offers rather cute and pleasant love story. It started getting clouded, stupid and distorted.

Point being, in a "structural" way this Manga is rather good. But the personal enjoyment aspect ruined the story for me to a fairly large amount.

Another thing I felt rather disappointed about is how precisely everything ended. It felt too much a normal page/chapter than a "beautiful "fin""

Cute, good looking. What else there is to say? It fit well, presented well and was enjoyable.

A bit off-sync stereotypes.
A distorted tsundere that is more of a psychotic in a meager odd way, than a trademark enjoyable tsundere.
A extreme narcissist that hides his past and essentially is an indecisive "playboy" that realizes and reacts to things too late.
A eccentric no-pan ojousama whom I love, but is way too problematic....
A quiet chaotic "liar".

And plenty more characters that have rather stereotypical approaches and types with distortion of "modernity" in a bad way. (for me at least.)

There is enough of progression and development of characters, relationships and possibilities. But many of their traits, decisions and so on, did ruin the whole picture of enjoyment to an annoying amount.

Rest can't be told. Rest to be discovered.

✦Enjoyment & Overall
Honestly, I feel the more I write reviews the more I combine enjoyment/overall section to other sections of reviews. Meaning there isn't really anything to add.

Other than summarize that I liked Anime more as Anime ended at part where it was still rather nice. But the further the story went, the less enjoyable it became and the more I unlikable characters became. While in the end it still was rather cute and and more of a light-hearted romance Manga, it simply got clouded and problematic a bit too much to my taste.

So while I was on chapter 40 or so I noticed that the MAL rating for this manga was 7.4, which is pretty low for a manga. I was expecting more along the lines of 7.6-ish, because while this manga was nothing special (it was more or less "Nisekoi but Worse"), it was fairly light and easy to read.
And I thought to myself, "I don't think it's that bad." And then it hit me. Could it be....the ending?

Hell yeah it was the ending. As spoilers aren't really my thing, my only answer to this ending is "what the hell." Why? What? For what purpose? Why ... would you screw around at this weird ass time?

Alright, moving on. The story itself is generic and predictable as Soma winning literally everything in Food Wars. Very cheaply thought out, very basic plot you've probably seen in literally every "rom-com" anime. School, harem, tsunderes, spiky haired protagonist, transfer student--wait this isn't Nisekoi? Oops.

The art is...it's manga. What did you expect?

Characters are super generic. Conceited protagonist, bitchy tsundere, loli maid, TranSfEr STuDEnt, meaningless side characters, etc. You've seen them literally everywhere.

I enjoyed Masamune kun relatively well (I like tsunderes) up till the bull ending. I would say around 8 in general but since the ending is literally the most important part I'm going to dock two points.

Overall, it's an ok manga with a pretty wack ending. Very predictable, very generic story and characters, has tsundere so that's okay with me.
