Both have a theme around the protagonist going back in time (in an absurd way), in order to prevent or fix their mistakes. One is more delinquent based while the other is more school orientated, despite both main characters being delinquents.

Both series involve male main characters that skip back in time to high school as a second chance in life to resolve previous concerns/regrets they hope to change their lives for the better.

Both have a strong willed female lead, both are pretty and really serious about their sports (cheering in again and karuta in chihayafuru). If you like again, then you probably will like chihayafuru as well.

Ok, if you like the manga Again!!? I think you will also love Yankee-Kun to Megane-Chan. The male mc's of these series are similar in certain ways - the boys are blond delinquent looking characters who fall for a girl who is in a school club and join it so they can be with her but don't really confess or become romantic, at least not for a good long time. The comedy in both mangas is first rate and really really funny. The themes are different - one has to do with coming back and  read more

Orange and Again has traits that can be thought provoking. This is because of a supernatural element that revolves around time that influences with both series' story. The main characters realize that they can influence events from the past, present, and future with this supernatural phenomenon. There's a great deal of focus on characters as they use their knowledge and resolves to make important decisions in both series. Expect characterization, story building, and relationship dynamics. There is also romance present in both series although Orange has more of a shoujo vibe while Again!! has more of a shounen feel.

Although the only thing both protagonists really have in common is their initial status as loners and misfits, the settings vaguely have the same school, slice-of-life feel. Onani Master Kurosawa probably has more seriousness, poignancy and 'onani' than Again!!, but both feature the ideas of change, growth, breaking out of the shell and meeting characters with just as many layers.

Both stories feature a protagonist going back in time to his student days and using his knowledge of the future to change events in the past. The main differences between the two are the amount of time traveled, the protagonists' ages, the fact that Imamura didn't go back alone and Harukana's subject matter being heavier.

Both of these serialisations follow the male protagonist whose life changes when a supernatural event occurs with the female protagonist.

Both series involve male protagonists who are oftentimes mistaken as delinquents due to their appearance.

Both stories involve the main character going back in time to pursue the one he loves. Both manga's show the issues and complications of what happens when you change the past. Both manga's share Comedy, Drama, Romance, and Slice of Life genre elements.

Both mangas involve an accident which delivers some sort of physical shock that causes the main characters to leap back in time to his/her student years. In both, the main characters, whose future selves have difficulty dealing with social relationships, must relive a part of their lives while failing to completely conceal the knowledge gained by their future selves. In Heptagon, however, the main character returns to recover a series of lost memories of her adolescence and to find the reason behind her missing memories and how that affects her inability to have a successful relationship.

Both manga attempt to show the struggles of a shy, unpopular and socially excluded protaganist and how they try to make adjustments to their life by changing the way they mentally approach the world. Again!! is less sensationalised and doesn't really try to play up that it's delving into psychology but rather just gets the job done in a realistic manner. NHK has a less continuity to the characterisation, and I'd say it also has a more stereotypical unpopular main character who is genuinely a bit of a prick, whereas Imamura in Again!! is a genuinely nice person underneath it all. Overall if you liked the  read more

Both MC failed, died and leapt back through time by almost the same time frame (3 years). Again!! is a slice of life/school about a cheering club getting disbanded. Tsuyokute New Saga is a fantasy demon lord vs hero theme. Both MC are now headstrong to change the future.

Both of these series have a male lead who also happens to have a delinquent esque persona, these are both coming of age romance stories about said delinquent trying to find his place in a friend group while also navigating young love in a melodramatic fashion

They both talk about regrets and going back in time to try and make those regrets vanish.

Both have a main character who is reclusive and has a tough time at making friends at first. Both are comedy, romance, school life, and shounen.

Both of these series focus heavily on coming of age stories for msifit male leads that find unlikely love in the school clubs they become interested in, both of these series are supremely laid back and lean heavily into the main characters trying to figure out how to navigate school life despite their scary, delinquent like appearances.

Both of the story hes the same concept that they go back in time and this time they do the right choice with there experience and knowledge they have from living it's fun story nothing mind blowing but I recommend giving it a try

Again! is about a time travel within your own life time to do something over, while Nobunaga Concerto is a comedy about a high school boy going back in time to become Nobunaga's double, these manga are very funny shounens and the humor of them is similar where they act different from how they really are. They can seem like complete fools sometimes and pretty much wise or wise guys at other times. They vary in one being modern and the other historical.

These school romance narratives feature a female protagonist who aids the male protagonist in an eccentric and dynamic manner.

Both of these serialisations feature male protagonists who begin being loners, but later develop friendships by having found something to be passionate about.

Both series follow female and male school cheerleaders.

In both of these titles, the male protagonist becomes passionate towards a school club after an encounter with an upbeat female schoolmate.

Beast master is one of my favorites. It's short and cute and very funny. In beast master like in again the main male character is judged by his face but is definitely a very good guy. Beast master is much shorter than again and they have very different plots (prob cuz beat master is a shoujo) but if you like one then you will probably like the other.

Again!! and Boku Dake ga Inai Machi has the similar plot element of time travel/manipulation. Both series follows a main protagonist who has the chance to fix mistakes from the past. The story becomes more complicated as they try to change certain events while overcoming obstacles. There's also a decent amount of characterization as we see characters' motives and their role in the story. Again!! has a much more lighthearted atmosphere that takes place in a school life environment. On the other hand, Boku Dake ga Inai Machi follows the path of a psychological thrilling story with interpersonal conflicts and mature themes.

It's similar to its genre and the characters. Both have "delinquent" protagonists whose wanna change the way they live. Both series have a similar humor, but School Rumble shows some amount of randomness.

Authored by the same mangaka, the two series follow male protagonists who are interested in cheering. Again!! maintains a strictly school setting, whereas 3.3.7 Byooshi!! diversifies.

Again!! and ReLife brings a story where a young man/student relives their life again as a student. Despite following different premises, there are some similarities with their experiential experiences. In addition, both series focuses on relationship building and characterization especially with characters the main protagonist meets at school. Both series has refreshing comedy that is humorous and dialogues that inspire development.
